Daima DLC Coming Soon to Dragon Ball Z KakarotBandai Namco just announced that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will soon have a new DLC based on the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime series. This news comes hot on the heels of the game hitting the milestone of 8 million copies sold recently.

A datamine revealed information about the DLC, titled Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Additional Episode: Daima Part 1, which brings playable chibi or (super-deformed) versions of Goku, Vegeta, and other characters to the mix. The developers scheduled the release date for later in the year for all currently available platforms. This DLC really aims to give fans some new story content for the action RPG in celebration of Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary.

Bringing DAIMA themes into Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an excellent thing because it makes the game bigger and better. That means there’s more fun stuff to explore! Given that the base game provided full coverage of Dragon Ball Z, so far, the DLCs have focused on related content like the Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’ movies, the History of Trunks, and the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.

The new content from the anime is definitely different for the game – it goes beyond the regular Dragon Ball Z story we’re used to. But with over 8 million copies sold, you can’t blame the developers for wanting to keep players hooked by pulling in characters and settings from other Dragon Ball shows.
