An update has just hit The Sims 4, not long after the first episode of Behind The Sims livestream, which made some major announcements. This latest update not only has the usual bug fixes and interface improvements, but also some new Create-A-Sim assets to further improve the inclusivity that The Sims 4 strives for.
Medical Wearables (Hearing Aids and Glucose Patches)
For the first time ever, your Sims can wear hearing aids and glucose patches. Now available in The Sims 4, these can be accessed from Create-A-Sim. They can be found under the new category Medical Wearables in either Accessories or Body.
Hearing aids can be worn on either ear, or both, and come in several different colors. Glucose monitors can be worn on both arms or the left or right lower abdomen, and these also come in different colors, as well as three different styles.
Torso Surgical Scar
A new scar, or scars, can be applied to your Sim, masculine or feminine, under the Body Scars category. These appear under your Sim’s breasts to give the impression of having surgery done.
Binders and Shapewear
Your Sims can now wear a Binder top and shapewear bottoms, available in a range of colors, including colorful and neutral skin tones.
Light Switch
A small but realistic addition, you can now place light switches around homes and other lots. This can be found under Wall Decorations in Build Mode.
Console Improvements
Some improvements have been made to the console version of The Sims 4. The cursor’s size can now be adjusted individually, there is a better UI placement system, the catalog is open by default in Build Mode, there’s a new guidance system for Build Mode, and control and navigation has been made easier.
Bug Fixes
As with most patches for The Sims 4, numerous bug fixes have been addressed as well. These are mainly for the base game, but also DLC including City Living, Get Famous, Eco Lifestyle, High School Years, Paranormal Stuff, Bust the Dust, and Outdoor Retreat.
That wraps up this latest update for The Sims 4. More information on the next Expansion Pack should be unveiled on February 2nd, so be sure to tune into that!

Loving the inclusivity updates that allow more diverse Sim creation. Also, as a console player, the UI changes were definitely needed, so that’s a huge bonus.
