Behind The Sims Livestream Episode 2 Everything That Was Announced

The second installment of the Behind The Sims community livestream took place on June 27th, and there was plenty of stuff to be announced. This covered different games in The Sims series, not just The Sims 4, including The Sims Mobile and The Sims Freeplay. We also got another insider look at what’s going on with the development of Project Rene, the next major title in The Sims series. There was quite a lot revealed in the 15-minute episode of Behind The Sims Episode 2, so here’s a recap.

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack

Behind The Sims started off by talking about The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack, the next major pack in The Sims 4Horse Ranch was recently announced in a trailer, and in this edition of Behind The Sims, members of The Sims team talked about how the horse Expansion came about and how it was developed. They also revealed that an official gameplay trailer will drop on July 6th. There will also be another livestream demonstrating gameplay for The Sims 4 Horse Ranch on July 14th at 11am PT. Horse Ranch is now available to pre-order on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One & Xbox Series X/S and will be officially released on July 20th.

Winning Kits Voted by the Sims Community

That’s not all that was announced for The Sims 4. There was recently a survey asking players to decide on two upcoming Kits for The Sims 4. They were each for a Fashion Kit and a Build Kit. The Fashion Kit was for Rainbow Fashion, the other Goth Fashion. The Build Kit was for Medieval Castle or High Tech Futurism. In Episode 2 of Behind The Sims, it was revealed that Goth Fashion won the vote for the Fashion Kit, while Medieval Castle was chosen for the Build Kit. However, these are not the two Kits that will be released during the Take the Reins season. It was stated that Goth Fashion and Medieval Castle will in fact be coming in early 2024. This means it’s still unknown what exactly the two Kits are going to be for the Take the Reins season in The Sims 4.

The Sims Mobile

The Sims 4 isn’t the only game getting new content. Coming soon to The Sims Mobile is a brand-new beach lot, 90 Sunset Jetty, located in Briny Heights. This lot is 30 x 30 and is a house lot, as well as a beach lot. There’s a jet ski parked out on the water next to a dock. You’ll have to unlock it to find out what it does!

The Sims Freeplay

The Sims Freeplay is also getting new stuff. This comes in the package of a day spa, where your Sims can be a Salon or Spa manager and customers can come to get pampered. Your Sims can run their own spa/salon and build it up into a successful business.

That’s not all for The Sims Freeplay. Coming in July is the Superyachts 2!

A Look at Project Rene

The final part of Behind The Sims showcased some new developments on Project Rene, which is the next game in The Sims series, effectively The Sims 5. In the first edition of Behind The Sims, Project Rene was officially announced and revealed, showing everyone a first look at the game and what Build Mode could look like. In Episode 2, lots more was shown, including a first look at Live Mode, the neighborhood, and Create-A-Sim. It’s very important to stress at this point that this is very early stages of the game, so nothing is final. The final product, which will be years from now, will look very different to what we are being shown.

There was another behind-the-scenes look at Project Rene in Episode 2 of Behind The Sims.
