The release date for Hoyoverse’s next big gacha RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, may have just been accidentally revealed on the Apple App Store. According to a new update on the official Zenless Zone Zero App on the iOS App Store, ZZZ is set to release on July 4th 2024.
Today, players can officially pre-register for Zenless Zone Zero on both the Android and iOS App Stores. Interestingly, on the Apple App Store, the release date for Zenless Zone Zero has changed from “Coming Soon” to “Expected 4th July 2024” (or the 3rd July depending on your region). Meanwhile, the Google Play Store still displays ZZZ’s release date as just “Coming Soon”.

Of course, this release date has not been announced by Hoyoverse themselves so it cannot be officially confirmed at this time. For Honkai: Star Rail, Hoyoverse’s most recent new title, they held a special livestream a month before release on March 23rd 2023 where they announced the game’s official release date (April 26th 2023) as well as the character banners players could expect to see in the game’s launch version. Based on this, if the App Store listing is correct and ZZZ is going to be released in July, we should expect a Zenless Zone Zero livestream sometime between May and June.
Currently, Hoyoverse is holding the third round of Amplifying Tests for Zenless Zone Zero to test the servers and several updates made to the game since the CBT2 late last year. In addition, they will also be starting up similar tests for the PS5 version of Zenless Zone Zero on the 25th of April. Many expect these tests to be the final closed beta tests before the game’s official launch. While the PS5 version has been confirmed, players are unsure of whether or not it will launch alongside the PC and mobile versions: Honkai: Star Rail’s PS5 release was teased at the official release date livestream but it wasn’t available until October 2023.
Further evidence of the ZZZ release date being sooner rather than later could come from the game’s official website where, for the last week, they’ve been posting in-depth looks at several 5-Star Agents, namely Koleda, Lycaon, Grace, Soldier 11 and Rina.
