The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Best New Outfits and How to Get Them

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II Remastered is currently in the hands of PS5 players. You can join Ellie’s and Abby’s adventures in a terrifying world occupied by scary infected and unpredictable people. Not only does the remastered version of this popular Sony title offer higher graphics and resolution, but it also brings new modes, characters to play, and outfits. In the original game, you were only able to play as characters with the outfits of their timeline. Now, with The Last of Us Part II Remastered, there are many new outfits to choose from, and you can change your outfit at any point in the game.

Both Ellie and Abby now have new costumes, presenting an interesting movie or reminding you of a very memorable moment in their journey. Here is the list of the top outfits for Ellie and Abby that players can access:

Ellie’s Best Outfits

Video Game Easter Eggs

This new skin is what players can expect. In the remaster and the original game, Ellie could wear shirts presenting Easter Eggs of popular games. For example, she could put on a shirt on which there was a sign of Horizon Forbidden West or Days Gone. However, this time, grown-up Ellie can wear these costumes presenting titles including Mortal Kombat, Hotline Miami, Killzone, Death Stranding, Destiny, and Siren. You can progressively collect these outfits in the game.

Plaid

This is an interesting short-sleeve shirt, similar in color to Ellie’s main outfit in The Last of Us Part I. Perhaps, this outfit can take you back to 2015 when Life Is Strange was released. At one point in the game, the lead character, Max, could put on the same red color shirt, reminiscent of Chloe’s lover, Rachel, from Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. You can get your hands on this costume after completing some missions in the main story.

Pride Tank Top

The Last of Us always shows how supportive they are for the LGBT+ community. It started in Part I when Ellie and her best friend, Riley, shared their first kiss. In Part II, aside from the amazing relationship between Ellie and her girlfriend Dina, there are many LGBT+ signs in the game, such as the character Lev, who is trans, or Bill’s relationship with Frank, which was fully shown in The Last of Us TV show. This time, Naughty Dog did a perfect job and brought this progressively collectible outfit to the game to demonstrate their patronage for the community.

Seeing grown-up Ellie in her classic outfit is an exciting feature The Last of Us Part II Remastered offers. Throughout the entire Part I, she wears this outfit while killing, running, and surviving. This skin has been added to the game in the recent update Naughty Dog published.

Savage Starlight

This skin comes from Ellie’s favorite comic book, Savage Starlight. It’s one of the collectibles in Part I, the story of which is about Dr. Daniela Star, who develops new technology that allows humans to travel faster than the speed of light. The space-heroic-style costume is a good choice for Ellie to feel like the protagonist of the story, as she is always curious about astronomy. To obtain this outfit, you have to collect all weapons in one run of the “No Return” game mode as Ellie.

Astronaut

The most epic on this list could be the Astronaut outfit. As Ellie is a huge fan of astronomy and has always desired to be an astronaut, this skin can make her dreams come true. In one of her flashbacks, Joel surprises her on her birthday with an old tape of astronauts’ voices during the Apollo mission. It’s worth mentioning that Ellie’s actress, Ashley Johnson, is really interested in being an astronaut. That’s why Neil Druckmann decided to create a character whose dreams resemble hers. Complete the story to unlock this skin.

Abby’s Best Outfits

Jak and Daxter

Abby in this skin reminds you of one of Naughty Dog’s old games, Jak and Daxter. A gray T-shirt with the Jak and Daxter logo on it creates an interesting picture of her. The outfit shows the company’s loyalty to its previous action-adventure franchise. Once you progress through the story, you can get this costume.

Bomber

This unique sunglasses-based skin makes Abby a different character. A leather jacket labeled with the Washington Liberation Front badge is a cool outfit chosen for her. In this outfit, Abby is shown as a more loyal member of W.L.F. dedicated to protecting the community from the Scars. You can unlock the skin if you upgrade 3 melee weapons in a “No Return” run.

Badlands

Abby’s Badlands turns her into Mad Max’s Imperator Furiosa. This battle-style outfit features pauldrons and straps with the Firefly logo, along with warrior-based makeup, giving her the appearance of an early human prepared for battle with another tribe. The makeup might remind you of Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West when she activates the Valor Surges. Want to get access to this outfit? Complete a “No Return” encounter with all melee kills.

Eighties

It’s rare to see characters in stylish mode in The Last of Us Part II. But this skin pushes the boundaries and brings Abby into a fashionable style. Dyed hair, red lipstick, a leather jacket, leather pants, dark eye makeup, and accessories such as necklaces and earrings have made her look like a model. You might think the sounds of the jewelry could lure the infected, but no worries about that – It’s just part of the design. To get this cosmetic style, you must finish the main story.
