Dust 2 is one of the most beloved and iconic maps of the Counter-Strike series, dating back to the earliest CS games from 2000. This map’s popularity is probably due to its balanced design, simplicity, and layout. You can have loads of competitive match fun on the standard Dust 2. However, there are also many Dust 2 variations you can download from the CS2 workshop that have the same basic map layout with tweaked designs. These are some of the Dust 2 map variations you can add to Counter-Strike 2.

Dust 2 Minecraft
This Dust 2 variation is one with a Minecraft-style design. It looks like a Dust 2 world from the Minecraft game made up of blocks. Dust 2 Minecraft’s blocky design doesn’t affect the gameplay much, but sometimes you must jump up blocky stairs rather than walk up them. The chunky design of this map also makes it a little more colorful than the standard D2 in Counter-Strike 2.
De_Dust 2 Winter
De_Dust 2 Winter is a Dust 2 map with a winter theme. This map is filled with snow on a cold winter’s night. It’s also a map with a Xmas theme that includes Christmas trees, snowmen, and wrapped gift boxes replacing crates. Overall, it’s a good map to get you in a festive mood during November and December.
Note that this map doesn’t currently support bots, but they might be added in the future. Youll need to invite some CS2 buddies onto the map to play matches against. Thus, De_Dust 2 Winter won’t be so much fun if you don’t have anybody to invite.
De_Dust 2 Classic
De_Dust 2 Classic is the original Dust 2 from Counter-Strike 1.6 that will likely appeal to CS veterans and even newer players who weren’t playing the game that far back. This is the D2 map from the original Counter-Strike that’s still available on this Steam page. It has the same layout as Dust 2 but looks a little different with more of a walled design. Playing this map provides a fascinating insight into what D2 used to be like in its earliest form.
Dust 2 Mirror
Dust 2 Mirror is a back-to-front Dust 2 variation to play Competitive Bomb Defusal or Deathmatch matches. This means bombsite A is on the left side of the map and B is on the right. Everything is opposite where it usually is within the standard Dust 2 arena. So, check this map out for a real twist on your usual D2 matches.
Dust 2 (2017 Version)
This is another older Dust 2 map beautifully restored for Counter-Strike 2 players to enjoy. Dust 2 (2017 Version) is, as its name highlights, the 2017 D2 map from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Although it looks more like the current Dust 2 than De_Dust 2 Classic, it still has noticeable design differences, such as the blue Islamic domes atop the building leading to bombsite B. In my opinion, this map looks better than the current D2 with superior details.
Free Dust 2
Free Dust 2 takes D2 to a whole new level with the inclusion of wall ladders that players can climb up. These ladders enable players to take to the rooftops of Dust 2, which adds a new strategic dimension to the map. Snipers will love the additional elevation this map provides for shooting players from above. So, keep an eye on the rooftops when playing matches on Free Dust 2!
Dust 2 (2×2) Wingman
Counter-Strike 2 doesn’t include a scaled-down Dust 2 map for the two vs. two Wingman mode. However, you can still play two vs. two matches on D2 thanks to this Dust 2 Wingman workshop map. This map includes fences that restrict play to bombsite A, which effectively reduces the size of Dust 2 for Wingman mode. It’s impossible to reach bombsite B when playing on this map.
Dust 2 Night GyLala
Dust 2 Night GyLala is a highly-rated Dust 2 variation on which you can play CS2 matches in the darkness of the night. Although a darker map, it still has reasonable visibility for matches with building lights illuminating the dusty Moroccan streets. This map features nice lighting and shadow effects you don’t get on the standard D2.
You can add all those Dust 2 variations to Counter-Strike 2 by clicking their Subscribe buttons on the pages linked above. Select Play > Workshop Maps and click Go in Counter-Strike 2 to see what they’re like. Then you’ll discover great variations for battling it out on the legendary Dust 2 map. Have fun!
