Frostpunk 2

For fans of city building and survival games, Frostpunk 2 has been recently announced this year. It is targeted for a 2024 release and if you’ve haven’t put much eyes on this little series, it’s been getting some praise among gamers and critics alike. The first game has sold over 3 million copies and the highest score it has on Metacritic is an 87. You can play the first game on a wide range of platforms too, so if you enjoying trying to keep your city stable in the blistering cold, you should give the first game a shot.

Zephon

This a fairly neat cyberpunk styled strategy game that is made the same folks who delivered Warhammer 40k: Gladius. The game was available on Steam for demo playing purposes and there could be more of it in the future. If you were a fan of Gladius, this game will certainly be right up your alley with its heavy focus on turn-based combat. If you’re looking for a game that’s more focused on unit controlling aspect with some rather impressive visuals at the same time, Zephon is always an option for that.

For anyone who been gaming since the ‘90s, Homeworld will be a name you might of heard. It’s a little series that’s known for taking in a space setting and you get to control a bunch of spaceships while you’re at it. Despite the title being labeled as the third game, it is actually the fifth installment within the series. The series is made by Relic Entetainment who is also known for other notable strategy games like Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War & Company of Heroes. As of right now, the game is set to be released in February 24, and has a gameplay trailer if you want to see what its core gameplay loop is like.

Stormgate

This one deserves to be mentioned at the last of this list. Stormgate is entirely made by former Blizzard employees of Warcraft III & Starcraft II and is promised to be the next Blizzard styled real-time strategy game for those that enjoy those two series. There’s no actual release date of when the game will be playable as a launch title because it is promised to be a live service game similar to League of Legends. However, their official website did say they promised to allow players to have more access to its closed beta during 2024. You could potentially be one of those lucky folks, but obviously you have to sign up from the game’s website.
