Wuthering Waves | Where to Find All Jinhsi Materials

This Wuthering Waves guide will provide an overview of all the materials needed for Jinhsi, the newest Resonator introduced in the game's Version 1.1 update. As a Spectro Resonator, Jinhsi requires a variety of materials, such as Elegy Tacet Core from the Mourning Aix and Howler Cores, which can be obtained from various enemies encountered during your journey.

Wuthering Waves Where to Find All Jinhsi MaterialsWuthering Waves has just recently published its first major update for the game, Thaw of Eons, and this Version 1.1 update also brings the long-awaited Magistrate of Jinzhou to the fray, Jinhsi, a charming and calm character that has captured many players’ hearts who are playing Wuthering Waves. Once they manage to do so after pulling in her Character Event Convene, they then proceed to master her skills and start building her properly to face the enemies in Wuthering Waves. However, gathering all the materials for Jinhsi might get tricky, as the game does not explicitly state where to get the resources needed.

With that in mind, this Wuthering Waves guide will aid you in looking for Jinhsi’s materials to ensure that you can upgrade her to the maximum Level. This includes where you can find Elegy Tacet Core, which is accessible from one of the Overlord-Class enemies in the overworld, Loong’s Pearl, the Ascension Material for Jinhsi, and lastly, the Howler Core, one of the drops that you might find from the enemies within Wuthering Waves. Let’s begin.

Where to Find Elegy Tacet Core for Jinhsi

The first and foremost item that Jinhsi needs is her Resonator’s Ascension item, the Elegy Tacet Core. To get this item, you first must defeat Mourning Aix, an Overlord-Class Tacet Discord that roams the Fallen Grave area within the Whining Aix’s Mire. However, to access this general area, it is wise to clear out some of the World Quests first before tackling the Mourning Aix, as you need guidance to reach the area by unlocking the surrounding Resonance Nexuses.

Defeating the Mourning Aix requires precision and swiftness. While its appearance is that of a docile bird-type, don’t let Mourning Aix’s appearance fool you. As it is an airborne creature, it will be optimal to bring characters who can counter the Mourning Aix’s flight ability such as Jiyan and Yinlin. If you don’t have both of them, then the alternative options for you will be Mortefi, Rover, and Encore, as these characters can utilize their Resonance Abilities to damage Mourning Aix even during its flight.

Another thing that you need to be wary of when fighting the Mourning Aix is that the creature will emit a flashing light on its body parts whenever it tries to launch a devastating attack. Pay careful attention to either its wings, chest, or tail and dodge at the right time to ensure that you won’t receive any meaningful damage from Mourning Aix, and proceed to mow down the target by using your DPS characters.

Once you manage to defeat the Mourning Aix, you can get the Elegy Tacet Core as your reward. The yield can go from 1 to 4 Tacet Cores per run depending on your Union Level. To get Jinhsi to Level 90, you will need 46 Elegy Tacet Cores.

Where to Find Loong’s Pearl for Jinhsi

The next important material that you must gather for Jinhsi in Wuthering Waves is Loong’s Pearl, a new type of flower introduced with Version 1.1 that serves as the main bulk of Ascending a Resonator, though currently, only Jinhsi is using this material for Ascension. Gathering this material is quite easy, as you don’t need to battle a foe or Overlord-Class enemies to earn them; you just need to search for this Ascension material in the open world.

For Loong’s Pearl specifically, this flower is available in the latest region, Mt. Firmament, where Act VII of Jinzhou’s Main Quest line continues. This unique blue flower is abundant within the Loong’s Rest and Mianloong Chamber sub-regions, which you might pass through during the Main Quest.

When searching for Loong’s Pearl, the marker for this flower is that they have a unique bell-like shape and a vibrant blue color across the snow-covered Loong’s Rest and Mianloong Chamber areas, meaning that you should be able to easily identify this flower and pluck them from the ground. To gain more insights about where to find Loong’s Pearl, I have provided the full map showing the locations for Loong’s Pearl, courtesy of Wuthering Waves Interactive Map.

To get Jinhsi to Level 90, you will need to gather at least 60 Loong’s Pearl, which means that you need to wait at the very least three days before you can get that number, as the overworld in Wuthering Waves currently only has approximately 27 of them at any given time. Alternatively, you can purchase 15 Loong’s Pearl at Shifang Pharmacy in Jinzhou City each week to help ease up the process of finding Loong’s Pearl for Jinhsi.

Where to Find Howler Cores for Jinhsi

Lastly, another crucial material that Jinhsi needs is the Howler Cores, a Resonance Material that serves many purposes, one of them being Ascending the Resonators. The Howler Core is the remaining part of a Tacetite Bloom after it withers. Despite its astonishing accuracy in mimicry, it only ends one way—reducing to a mass of twisted Frequency Energy.

Fortunately, unlike the previous two materials which require all players to search the flowers and/or defeat a specific enemy, finding Howler Cores in Wuthering Waves is not difficult, since you can practically defeat most enemies (notably bird-types and plant-types of enemies) in the game and have the chance to receive a drop from them. However, it might get tricky to find the correct enemies to kill, so I have prepared the full list of the enemies that can drop MF Howler Cores below, as you can see here:

  • Chirpuff
  • Cruisewing
  • Cyan-Feathered Heron
  • Diamondclaw
  • Dwarf Cassowary
  • Excarat
  • Fusion Dreadmane
  • Geohide Saurian
  • Glacio Dreadmane
  • Gulpuff
  • Havoc Dreadmane
  • Hoartoise
  • Hoochief Cyclone
  • Hoochief Menace
  • Hooscamp Clapperclaw
  • Hooscamp Flinger
  • Lava Larva
  • Lightcrusher
  • Roseshroom
  • Sabyr Boar
  • Spearback
  • Violet-Feathered Heron
  • Young Geohide Saurian
  • Young Roseshroom

Keep in mind that these enemies are scattered across many regions of Wuthering Waves‘ first nation, Jinzhou, so the only way I can guide you in finding Howler Cores is to fight plant-type and bird-type monsters that you encounter while deliberately trying to dodge the human enemies, as they drop a different Resonance Material.

To fully Ascend Jinhsi to Level 90, you will need 4 LF Howler Cores, 12 MF Howler Cores, 12 HF Howler Cores, and 4 FF Howler Cores. Apart from killing those enemies to earn the Howler Cores, you can also use the Synthesizer in Jinzhou to upgrade the lower-level materials into better-quality materials, which requires you to spend 3 lower-quality Howler Cores to produce a greater Howler Core.

And that’s all you need to know about Jinhsi’s materials and where to find them in Wuthering Waves.
