The Top 5 Best Faith Weapons In Elden Ring

In the past, Faith builds have never had it easy when it comes to weaponry. Always having to rely primarily on their Miracles and Incantations. But with the release of Elden Ring, priests and holy knights alike now have a myriad of interesting and powerful weapons to choose from. But which ones are the best?

Whenever I think of Faith weapons in Elden Ring, the first thing that comes to mind is a holy knight, clad in divine steel armour wielding a colossal greatsword. Funnily enough, this stereotypical view of a knight is rather rare among players in Elden Ring. Instead of a generic sword, many Faith builds decide to go with more exotic and unique weapons, like giant horns, whips or even incantations.

If you’re ready to pick up a more interesting holy weapon, check out the suggestions below.

Maliketh’s Black Blade

It’s quite hard to believe that this massive hunk of stone is a sword, let alone a holy-based weapon. Originally, wielded by the monstrous Maliketh, The Black Blade, this weapon is capable of dishing out some scarily-high damage.

Whilst its normal moveset is pretty typical for a greatsword. its special move, Destined Death can deal lots of damage and temporarily reduce the HP of anyone who’s hit by it. Very few enemies are resistant to this skill so you’ll be dropping trash mobs and bosses alike with ease.

As I mentioned before, you’ll have to defeat Maliketh, The Black Blade to obtain this weapon. This fight is not only pivotal for the overall plot of Elden Ring but it is also extremely challenging. My only advice is to prepare yourself for an agile enemy who’s a fan of deadly, delayed combos.

Although it doesn't look like a Faith weapon, Maliketh's Black Blade is easily one of the best.

Giant’s Red Braid

Seemingly torn straight off of the Fire Giant’s body, the Giant’s Red Braid is necessary for any Pyromancer or fire-based build. Despite being a whip, an item that is rarely ever used by Elden Ring players, this weapon is extremely potent and brilliant at keeping enemies at arm’s length.

In general, whips don’t deal a tremendous amount of damage all at once, but rather they quickly whittle away an enemy’s HP with fast, repetitive strikes. With its special technique, Flame Dance, each lashing of the whip is coated in flames, dealing additional fire damage to any enemy foolish enough to stand in its way.

As you might’ve guessed, obtaining the Red Giant’s Braid is fairly simple. All you need to do is defeat the Fire Giant and exchange its Remembrance with Enia at Roundtable Hold.

Lighting-fast and searing hot, the Giant's Red Braid is a weapon you should take lightly!

Cleanrot Spear

As one of the most easily recognizable spears in all of Elden ring, the Cleanrot Spear is a powerful weapon used by the Cleanrot Knights. It scales well with Strength, Faith and Dexterity and is surprisingly decent at blocking attacks as well.

Naturally, this weapon is great at hitting enemies without them getting too close for comfort. It also deals additional holy damage with each strike, making it incredible against enemies who are weak to the element. The best part about the Cleanrot Spear is easily its special weapon skill, Sacred Phalanx, which allows you to summon a wall of ethereal-looking spears out of thin air.

Unfortunately, you won’t find this weapon just sitting in a chest, you’ll need to farm Cleanrot Knights for it. You can find them south of the Heart of Aeonia, the War-Dead Catacombs or in the Brace of The Halligtree.

As one of the legendary armaments in Elden Ring, the Cleanrot Spear is an illusive but lethal Faith-based weapon.

Coded Sword

Standing as one of the most interesting Faith weapons in the entirety of Elden Ring, the Coded Sword is one of a kind. It scales amazingly with the Faith, making it a must for players who are looking to make a build around the aforementioned stat.

At a first glance, the Codded Sword may seem like nothing more than a fancy-looking straight sword. since its moveset is not unique in any way. However, each swing of this word deals considerable holy and physical damage. The Coded Sword’s special skill is named Unblockable Blade, which sees the weapon’s blade elongate with holy light and slice through enemies, regardless of whether they were defending or not.

There is only one way to obtain this weapon. You must travel to the Throne Room of the Fortified Manor, which is in Lendyell, The Royal Capital. Note that you can only get this weapon before defeating Maliketh, The Black Blade.

With it's unique appearance and deadly weapon art, the Coded Sword easily cements itself on this list.

Winged Scythe

As one of the few Reapers weapons in Elden Ring, the Winged Scythe is a decent Holy-based weapon. It can be obtained early on in your journey to become the Elden Lord. It also scales fairly well with Dexterity, Strength and Faith.

The Winged Scythe is a fairly standard weapon but what it lacks in uniqueness, it makes up for in pure Holy damage. Its special technique, Angel Wings, not only deals some decent damage but also temporarily seals both of your target’s Crimson Flasks.

To get this weapon, you’ll have to clear out the Tombsward Ruins, which can be found on the Weeping Peninsula.

With its Crimson flask-sealing weapon art, the Winged Scythe excels as both a early-game PvE and PvP Faith weapon.

Conclusion

These are just some of the most popular Faith weapons in Elden Ring. There’s a ton more out there that excel at different areas in combat. In fact, this is one of the best games to use a Faith build. Alongside the flashy and potent Incantations, these weapons compliment them perfectly, both aesthetically and practically.

If you’re not to keen on devoting lots of points into Intelligence but still want to be able to use interesting and unique weapons, Faith builds are for you.
