Starfield is full of unique armor sets, and among the best of them is Anti-Xeno armor. Acting as one of the main rewards for completing the Terrormorph questline, this legendary set of armor, helmet, and boost pack grants the player a leg up. Anti-Xeno armor is one of the best ways to stay alive in stressful situations. With this unique set of armor comes one of the best variants of the Beowulf rifle. You’ll be able to carry this armor well into the higher levels of Starfield if you get it early!
That being said, obtaining this armor is no easy feat as you will have to fight hordes of Terrormorphs. In short, while it might be difficult to obtain because you can’t just easily get to it, you can make the most of the quests by having it. Anti-Xeno armor can only be acquired after you get access to the cache in the armory on Londinion. In addition to this beautiful set of armor, you’ll get a semi-automatic Beowulf with a lot of ammunition. If you’re smart, this weapon and the armor you obtain can carry you well beyond the missions themselves.
You won’t have to complete the entirety of the quest line in order to acquire this unique set of armor, however, it will help you complete it faster. Instead, this acts as a reward three-quarters of the way through the questline itself. For this reason, it’s a great way for a new player to get the upper advantage on later game enemies early on. In fact, it might be better said that this armor should be one of the first things you go after when playing Starfield.

Anti-Xeno Quest Chain *Spoilers*
If you want the Anti-Xeno armor, you’ll have to go to Vanguard in New Atlantis. After that, you’ll need to pass the Vanguard exam before you get your first mission. You’ll be sent down a quest chain that uncovers secrets about Terrormorphs after you complete it. All of this is in tandem with the work you’ll be doing on Mars for well over half of the missions available. Eventually, three-quarters of the way you will be able to visit the planet Londinion which was overrun by the Terrormorph threat. Acting as a hostile planet where these menaces roam free, naturally, you’ll need some protection.
Due to this need for protection, the U.C. will permit you access to their armor where the armor, weapon, and a lot of supplies will be located. It’s interesting to note that this quest chain will see you battling Terrormorphs and other xeno threats in order to reconstruct a research team on xeno-weapons. This research is meant to fix the mistakes of an old Era, but the armor stands as a testament to that. The armor will only be available to you and two NPCs in the game. Despite looking sleek and well-designed, the armor has a few hidden bonuses.
It’s very important to note that once you have the armor in hand, you really could pause the storyline or go do something else. That being said, this storyline is a slog of quests, and by completing them you’ll gain access to two new potential assignments. The great part about the questline associated with Anti-Xeno armor is that you’ll have a large stack of exp and credits to show for your work. Additionally, the scripted areas are generous with weapons, ammunition, and medical packs that make the quest worthwhile to complete.
Anti-Xeno Armor Set
The Anti-Xeno armor set is broken down into three unique items, with an accessory weapon that works best with it. In order to make the most of this build style you should also keep a firm supply of medpacks on you. This, as well as the weapon “Vampire’s Gift” or something equivalent. The reason being is that the armor allows the player to gain health from automatic med packs ejections. Completely reducing the risk of death from combat substantially, and giving you the time to react to new threats. A perk like this is especially useful when dealing with alien threats that may have particularly melee-based attacks.
All of this considered, there are a number of other perks associated with each piece of armor. They are all set as legendary items and are a unique variety of the U.C. pilot armor. This armor is also part of the U.C. faction, giving the player certain dialogue options. Orange and black camouflage coloring with slate grey plates define the overall color scheme of the armor. Shield plates protect the helmet and arms of the Anti-Xeno armor showcasing its intended purpose. All and all, you get a beast-tamer vibe from the armor, or something like animal control.
U.C. AntiXeno Spacesuit
The Anti-Xeno spacesuit is one of the more potent suits of armor you can acquire early on. For starters, it sports a damage resistance of 76 which is substantially higher than other armors at its level. Beyond this, it has airborne and corrosive resistances which makes it decent enough environmentally. Instead, where this armor shines is in its physical, energy, and EMP resistances. Which they are all about 75 and can keep the player alive no matter the damage type you sustain. That being said, the armor is heavy, weighing in at almost 15 mass.
The spacesuit offers the player three bonuses, of which one can be random depending on what you get. These two bonuses which you’ll see on all AntiXeno armor is the auto-medic ability that automatically gives you medicine. Secondly, you’ll find the beast hunter perk which reduces damage taken by alien enemies. The last perk you’ll get can be random, in my case being Sentinel. All of these assets make the spacesuit alone a decent set of armor to wear but it’s not alone in its value!
U.C. AntiXeno Pack
Like armor, the boost pack is designed in order to protect the user from incoming damage. To that end, this boost pack may be basic in nature but comes outfitted with an oxygen reserve. It also boasts a damage resistance of 44 which is decent given the level you can acquire it at. Anti-Xeno packs offer the player thermal and radiation resistances as well as decent resistances to all damage types. Beyond this, it acts as a great legendary boost pack to go along with your new powerful armor!
This pack additionally comes with three unique abilities, two of which are standard while the last one can be randomized. The two you will see all the time are sturdy and fastened perks. These make you resistant to incoming damage and add additional carrying weight to your character. Additionally, in my case, I received the armor-plated perk which reduces incoming damage by an additional ten percent. All and all, this pack can be a significant upgrade to a lot of other basic boost packs purely for the carrying capacity upgrade. When coupled with damage reduction it can make a lot of basic game issues go away quickly.
U.C. AntiXeno Space Helmet
When it comes to helmets in the game, the Anti-Xeno space helmet can be one of the best. Giving you a basic damage resistance of 44, and resistance to all weapons you can’t go wrong. Additionally, you’ll have more thermal and radiation protection which can help when exploring dangerous planets. Really when talking about this helmet though, it’s worth mentioning that it has a decent mass-to-protection ratio. Weighing in at almost 5 mass it’s no better or worth it than other legendary helmets of its type.
Where this helmet shines is in its three abilities, two of which are unique while the last is random. The first two abilities are the beast hunter perk, reducing damage from aliens, and the analyzer perk. Gaining bonus damage from analyzing enemies it rewards the player for taking the time to scan them. Finally, in my case, I received the incendiary perk which gives the player a 10 percent chance to set enemies on fire when they attack you. This helmet’s perks are directly suited to dealing with melee attackers and give massive bonuses to combat.
Accessory Weapons
When talking about accessory weapons, it really means the things that pair best with the armor itself. In this case, there are two main contenders that can make the most of Anti-Xeno armor and all it has to offer. Firstly you’ll be dealing with the concept of the Beowulf that you get when you raid the Londinion armory. Other than that, access to the specialty weapon Vampire’s Gift” will help you make the most of the healing abilities the suit has.
Tesla Calibrated Beowulf
The Tesla Calibrated Beowulf is a specialty item given to the player during the Terrormorph questline. In essence, you will have this weapon the moment you acquire Anti-Xeno armor because it’s in the same place. Luckily, the weapon is no pushover being a semi-automatic legendary version of the calibrated Beowulf variant. Because of this, it deals an extremely high amount of damage and has haunting accuracy. Using the 7.77mm cartridge, you can get decent distance, damage, and fire rates with this unique weapon.
The Beowulf in question seems to be designed for slaying men, having the anti-personnel perk standard. Additionally, it has the med theft perk that steals med packs from dead enemies and uses Tesla rounds. These Tesla rounds are essentially electrified ammunition that slows down enemies when struck by them. All in all, the Tesla Calibrated Beowulf is a decent means of protecting yourself and comes with armor itself. You can count on it in most situations, and the semi-automatic firepower means ammunition conservation is in high regard.
Vampire’s Gift
Vampire’s Gift is another great weapon you might want to consider. With an additional weapon that uses 7.77mm ammunition, you’ll have to keep a lot on hand. Luckily, this weapon comes with some of the best perks when it comes to acquiring med packs in the game! Vampire’s Gift doesn’t deal a whole lot of damage per shot but does have a high fire rate to compensate for this weakness. Additionally, it has a high magazine capacity of 66 which allows you to shred the enemy quickly.

For starters, you’ll have access to bleeding damage that when paired with the fire rate proves deadly. Along with this, killing a human will result in this weapon having a chance to create a med pack in their inventory. This means that whenever clearing out pirates or spacers, you have a chance to build up a firm supply of medical supplies. This means that when paired with the Anti-Xeno armor, you can easily avoid taking damage that would ordinarily kill you. Beyond this, Vampire’s Gift has a bunch of mods that make the weapon more easily used on ships and at a distance. Keep in mind that it is a flechette gun, and as such does less damage to armored opponents.
Overall Merits
The Anti-Xeno armor is a great example of legendary equipment done right in a science fiction game. Throughout your time trying to achieve it, you’ll face countless frustrations and difficult enemies, and yet through it all the armor is your reward. You will feel truly powerful the first time you fight these creatures with the armor on, being practically on par with them. Lastly, the unique and interesting bonuses the set offers can’t be understated as it makes combat more Forgiving. When designing, it’s clear the developers knew exactly what they wanted, and they achieved it in spades!
