While exploring the eastern end of Nalcott in Once Human, you might come across a convenience store that has evidently been influenced by cult activity. The Lost in Madness quest offers a unique treasure hunt in Once Human. Finding the map is straightforward, but locating the Cultist’s Treasure is challenging.
Although the Lost in Madness quest is labeled as level seven, it is misleading because low-level players will struggle to complete it. You need to do some detective work to narrow down the location of the Cultist Treasure and find a specific map to begin. Even if you know the destination, ensure you start the quest by obtaining the Cultist Treasure map.

How to Start Lost in Madness Quest in Once Human
You can start the ‘Lost In Madness’ quest in Coastside Plaza, located to the east. To pinpoint its exact location, right-click the marker on your map. It’s recommended to be at least level seven for this quest, as the surrounding area is filled with level seven enemies.
Starting Location of Lost in Madness Quest in Once Human
The marker will guide you inside a building decorated with cult symbols and candles. Approach one of the red candles and you’ll have the option to light it. Once you do, your vision will warp briefly, and a chest will appear on the right, containing The Cultist’s Treasure Map for you to loot.
Finding the Cultist Treasure
The map indicates The Chalk Peak region, which is a huge area, situated to the west of both the Broken Delta region and the Gaia Cliff Monolith. It is advisable to reach at least level 32 before exploring this area due to the challenges it presents. However, you can visit Chalk Peak at any time. To prepare for the dangers, it is recommended to advance through the main storyline and focus on leveling up your character.
Cultist’s Treasure Map
When you feel ready for the journey, your destination is the Believer Colony. You can find this location at the map coordinates 2312, -4906, which lies west of the main town and safe zone known as Tall Grass Inn. The Believer Colony is a small camp composed of only a few buildings, but it is heavily guarded by numerous Vulture Minions. If you plan to visit before reaching the recommended level 32, it is wise to move your camp close to this area to have a nearby respawn point. You can set up your camp right opposite the Believer Colony for easier access and safety.

Upon reaching the camp, face the entrance with the tower on the right side. The smaller building you need to find is on the left. Climb the stairs of this building, and you will locate the Cultist Treasure Chest next to a table. This chest holds valuable items that can aid you in your journey.
Open the treasure chest. Inside, you’ll find:
- 100 Energy Link
- 300 EXP
- 105 Battle Pass EXP
- 3 Stellar Planula
- 1 Eclipse Cortex Lv. 1
Collecting the loot will finish the quest.
