Card Carnival Minigame Basics and Strategy

Card carnival puzzles are almost similar to the Queen’s Blood minigame, with just a few changes in the rules. If we take a look back at Queen’s Blood, you start a game with a deck of 15 cards of your choice and play an opponent with a turn-based style. What you do is strategically place cards and aim to dominate your opponent in terms of power values in the three rows. As you keep playing, you expand and lose spaces and use various abilities to buff or debuff cards.

In the case of the card carnival puzzles, the game itself determines a set of cards for you at the start. And most importantly, the opponent’s cards are all played out before hand, which is why they are called puzzles. Every puzzle has a distinct pattern, and if you can recognize the catch, it’s all child’s play from there. Other than that, it’s all the same: you have to place the cards given to you in such a way that you earn the maximum power points in two or more rows.

So before you start attacking your opponent, you have to carefully examine the cards at play and think of your moves ahead. One wrong move, and you could mess up the whole game, just like a puzzle. For instance, in the Power Down Practice, you will have to aim to debuff your enemies and expand your spaces. In that way, you can utilize all of your power-down cards.

Power Down Practice Puzzle Solution in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Power Down Practice is completely optional and does not have any effect on the storyline of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As a result, the solution to the puzzle is pretty straight-forward and easy. You will be given two Archdragons and a Quetzalcoatl, and you must seal the match within three moves. Take a look at the moves I used to solve the puzzle:

1. Place the Archdragon card in the empty spot on the bottom row so that it can destroy the Crystalline Crab. This move is done to open up a tile so that you can plant your next move.

2. Now place the other Archdragon in the spot you just emptied. This will destroy the last Crystalline Crab and earn you the maximum power points in the row.

3. For your final move, use the Quetzalcoatl and place it on the leftmost empty spot of the middle row. This wins you the row and also the game for you.
