Jade Materials

To start this guide, we will take a closer look at Jade’s materials that you must gather to ascend to Level 80. Here is the list of all the things you need:

  • 15x Dream Collection Component / 15x Dream Flow Valve / 15x Dream Making Engines (Memory Zone’s Dreamjolt Troupe Enemy Drops)
  • 65x Dream Flamer (Stagnant Shadow Drops)
  • 308,000 Credits

When seeking the Memory Zone’s Dreamjolt Troupe series materials, enemies like Sweet Gorilla and Beyond Overcooked Stagnant Shadows are your best bet in various Penacony areas. Additionally, battling through Simulated Universe Worlds offers better consistency in finding these materials. You can also convert low-grade materials into higher grades using the Omni-Synthesizer. Furthermore, Assignments provide a steady stream of Dream Collection Components, netting you 20 (+10) pieces daily.

Jade, a mysterious member of the IPC’s Strategic Investment Department, needs the Dream Flamer Stagnant Shadow Drops. Head to the Dream’s Edge sub-region within Penacony to unlock this Stagnant Shadow. Spend 30 Trailblaze Power to challenge them, with better drops at higher difficulties. Dreamjolt Troupe’s Beyond Overcooked is the main boss, who can unleash deadly Fire attacks on your team.

For Jade’s Traces, you’ll need all three rarities of Penacony’s Path of Erudition material (Rough Sketch, Dynamic Outlining, and Exquisite Colored Draft). In addition to that, you need to fight the newest Echo of War, Harmonious Choir – The Great Septimus, as Jade needs the Lost Echo of the Shared Wish material from the weekly boss introduced in Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 2.2.

Jade Skill Overview

Like past characters in Honkai: Star Rail, Jade has a range of skills that support her allies and lead them to victory. We’ll delve into her Basic Attack, Skill, Talent, Technique, and Ultimate to grasp the full scope of her capabilities.

Basic Attack: Lash of Riches

Starting her kit overview, we’ll look at Jade’s Basic Attack, Lash of Riches. With this attack, Jade deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy target, equaling up to 117% of her ATK stat.

And that’s it. Unfortunately, you won’t find any unique mechanism within Jade’s Basic Attack. You shouldn’t expect special effects like other DPS characters such as Blade, Dan Heng: Imbibitor Lunae, or Firefly who all have some special interactions to their Basic Attacks, as Jade favors the battle by utilizing her Talent and Skill, which we will explain shortly.

Skill: Acquisition Surety

The next part of Jade’s kit is her Skill, Acquisition Surety. This ability is a major source of Jade’s Quantum DMG as she wields the ability to either make herself or an ally stronger by applying the Debt Collector state.

Jade’s Acquisition Surety designates a single ally as the Debt Collector, thus boosting their SPD by 30 for 3 turns. When this ally attacks, they deal additional Quantum DMG equal to 15% of Jade’s ATK to each enemy hit, and this action will consume 2% of their Max HP with each attack, dropping to 1 HP if insufficient. If Jade becomes the Debt Collector, she doesn’t get the SPD boost, and her attacks don’t consume HP. However, while the Debt Collector is active, Jade can’t use her Skill, and its duration decreases by 1 turn at the start of each of her turns.

In short, this Skill allows Jade or another ally to become more powerful for 3 turns, by enhancing their damage through Jade’s Quantum DMG percentage, as well as improving their SPD, therefore allowing them to move faster than enemy units. However, it is best to carefully watch your team’s HP percentage, as Acquisition Surety saps a character’s health up to 6% of their Max HP. It is also worth mentioning that using this Skill renders Jade unable to use it repeatedly until the Debt Collector state ends.

Ultimate: Vow of the Deep

Moving on to other Jade’s abilities, we have arrived at her Ultimate, Vow of the Deep. Unfortunately, Jade’s Ultimate is severely lacking, with the only upside of this being that she can strengthen her Talent’s major damage source. Even as an Erudition character, who usually has something going on with their Ultimate, Jade doesn’t get the same treatment.

Vow of the Deep allows Jade to deal with Quantum DMG, which is equal to 120% of Jade’s ATK to all enemies. At the same time, Jade enhances her Talent’s follow-up attack, increasing its DMG multiplier by 40%. This enhancement can trigger 2 times.

While Vow of the Deep doesn’t provide substantial damage value, this Ultimate serves as a buffer for Jade’s Talent. The 40% DMG bonus from the Ultimate will allow the Talent, Fang of Flare Flaying, to enhance its damage capacities almost twice the original multiplier numbers, which is at 100%.

Vow of the Deep.

Vow of the Deep.

Talent: Fang of Flare Flaying

The next part of Jade’s kit is arguably her most important one, as it makes her Follow-up Attacks, her main gimmick, work incredibly well and damages the enemies comfortably without having to spend an Action Point for Jade or another ally that becomes the designated Debt Collector.

Fang of Flare Flaying works after Jade or the Debt Collector unit attacks, and gains 1 point of Charge for each enemy target hit. Upon reaching 8 points of Charge, consumes the 8 points to launch 1 instance of Follow-up Attack, dealing Quantum DMG equal to 60% of Jade’s ATK to all enemies. This follow-up attack does not generate a Charge. When launching her Talent’s follow-up attack, Jade immediately gains 5 stack(s) of Pawned Asset, with each stack increasing her CRIT DMG by 1.2%, stacking up to 50 times.

From this description, we can concur that Jade or the Debt Collector unit will have another set of DPS output through this Talent. So, in that regard, it is best if you use Jade’s Skill on a character who can hit the maximum amount of enemies at once, with Argenti, Herta, and Blade benefiting from the Debt Collector’s buffs.

Technique: Visionary Predation

Last but not least, Jade also has a twist in her technique, Visionary Predation. After using the Technique inflicts enemies within a set area with Blind Fealty for 10 seconds. Enemies inflicted with Blind Fealty will not initiate attacks on allies. When entering battle via actively attacking enemies inflicted with Blind Fealty, all enemies with Blind Fealty will enter combat simultaneously. After entering battle, deals Quantum DMG equal to 50% of Jade’s ATK to all enemies, and immediately gains 15 stack(s) of Pawned Asset.

To summarize Jade’s Technique, it stops any enemies in a specified area of Jade’s Visionary Predation from attacking you, and once you trigger a battle against them, her Talent’s Pawned Asset buff will immediately receive 15 stacks, therefore innately increasing Jade’s CRIT DMG by 18% at the start of the battle, giving her an edge against her enemies.

Jade’s Traces Breakdown

After you understand Jade’s overall abilities and the things she can do in a battle, the next step to maximize her build is to take a look at this elusive member of Ten Stonehearts. Overall, Jade’s abilities lie in making sure that your team’s main DPS, preferably those who can dish out AoE damage, can enjoy multiple benefits out of Jade, however, at the expense of a portion of their health. Truly befitting of her title, Jade of Credit. Besides that, Jade has several Traces, as you can see below:

  • 22.4% Quantum DMG Boost ( 3.2 + 3.2 + 4.8 + 4.8 + 6.4)
  • 10% Effect RES Boost ( 4 + 6)
  • 18% ATK Boost (4 + 6 + 8)

Following the minor Traces, we will now move on to Jade’s Major Traces. The first one is Jade’s Ascension 2’s Trace, Reverse Repo. When an enemy target enters combat, Jade gains 1 stack(s) of Pawned Asset. When the Debt Collector character’s turn starts, Jade gains 3 stack(s) of Pawned Asset. Reverse Repo is arguably Jade’s best Major Trace, as it allows her to immediately gain many Pawned Asset stacks, which directly translates into bonus CRIT DMG.

Moving on to the second Major Trace is the Collateral Ticket, which you can get after getting Jade to the Ascension 4 stage. When the battle starts, Jade’s action is advanced by 50%. This Trace is simple, yet it helps her to have a turn before everyone else, and this is especially beneficial for the Debt Collector.

Lastly, there’s Jade’s Ascension 6 Trace, Asset Forfeiture. Each Pawned Asset stack from the Talent additionally increases Jade’s ATK by 0.5%. This Trace increases Jade’s damage output from Pawned Asset, which now also grants her bonus ATK on top of the basic CRIT DMG boost.

Jade Abilities Priority

Now that we are familiar with Jade’s Traces and their effects, it’s time to discuss what abilities you should prioritize when building Jade to her best potential.

  1. Fang of Flare Flaying (Talent)
  2. Vow of the Deep (Ultimate)
  3. Acquisition Surety (Skill)
  4. Lash of Riches (Basic ATK)

As previously mentioned, the way Jade works in any team is that she needs another AoE DPS to fully maximize her entire kit, so that most of her abilities, especially her Talent, Fang of Flare Flaying, can trigger as many times as possible in a short amount of turns. This is why, you should prioritize leveling up Jade’s Talent first because it is her main source of damage.

From there, Jade’s Ultimate takes second place in terms of priority thanks to its damage potential, which should be high enough if Jade uses it during a time when at least 3 or 4 enemies are present. Although Jade’s Skill is important because it is the only way she can designate herself or an ally as the Debt Collector, the SPD buff it provides is already maxed out at level 1, so upgrading it will not yield big profits, though doing so will certainly help Jade in the long run.

Lastly, Lash of Riches takes the last spot because its usage will only be present when her Skill’s Debt Collector is active. Beyond that, there is no real reason to upgrade or use it regularly in a battle.

Jade’s Eidolons

Moving on, we will list all of Jade’s Eidolons in Honkai: Star Rail. Eidolons can be acquired by pulling the same character multiple times from the Event Warp. To get Jade’s unique Eidolons, you need to have multiple copies of her from her Character Event Warp, “Lien on Life, Lease on Fate”.

  1. Altruism? Nevertheless Tradable: The follow-up attack DMG from Jade’s Talent increases by 32%. After the Debt Collector character attacks and the number of the enemy target(s) hit is either 2 or 1, Jade additionally gains 1 or 2 point(s) of Charge respectively.
  2.  Morality? Herein Authenticated: When there are 15 stacks of Pawned Asset, Jade’s CRIT Rate increases by 18%.
  3. Honesty? Soon Mortgaged: Skill Lv. +2 and Talent Lv. +2.
  4. Sincerity? Put Option Only: When using Ultimate, enables the DMG dealt by Jade to ignore 12% of the enemy target’s DEF, lasting for 3 turn(s).
  5. Hope? Hitherto Forfeited: Ultimate Lv. +2 and Basic Attack Lv. +1.
  6.  Equity? Pending Sponsorship: When the Debt Collector character exists on the field, Jade’s Quantum RES PEN increases by 20%, and Jade gains the Debt Collector state.

Jade’s best Eidolons are E1 and E6. Her first Eidolon, Altruism? Nevertheless Tradable, boosts her Talent’s Follow-up Attack damage multiplier to 132%, up from 60%, and speeds up the trigger time, which is especially useful outside of Pure Fiction.

Her sixth Eidolon, Equity? Pending Sponsorship, grants bonus Quantum RES PEN and allows her to act as a second Debt Collector, provided the original Debt Collector is on the field. These Eidolons are perfect for Jade, and investing in her E1 will give you plenty of bonuses to boost Jade’s capacity.

Jade in Memory of Chaos (MoC) and Pure Fiction

Once we understand how Jade’s mind works while doing her jobs, it’s high time for us to see her capabilities within Honkai: Star Rail‘s most difficult challenges so far: Memory of Chaos and Pure Fiction.

In Memory of Chaos, her performance depends on the current rotation’s buffs and enemy lineups. Since she is an Erudition character specializing in Follow-up Attacks, she is better suited in Pure Fiction’s environment, where the goal is to kill as many enemies as possible. The current Memory of Chaos favors Jade, but she needs an amazing DPS character to pair up with if you want to have a chance at clearing MoC Floor 12 with ease.

Jade’s capabilities soar up when you decide to use her in Pure Fiction, since as an Erudition character who needs to trigger her Talent as much as she can within the smallest amount of time possible is doable within Pure Fiction’s environment. If you use Firefly or Blade here, then you should have no issues clearing any Pure Fiction stages.

Overall, Jade is an amazing Sub-DPS character who meshes well with AoE DPS characters such as Blade, though her usability in Honkai: Star Rail‘s most arduous challenges might not be up to par with them unless it heavily favors Follow-up Attacks.

Jade’s Best Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail

Best in Slot: Yet Hope Is Priceless

When talking about what would be the best Light Cone for Jade, her signature Light Cone, Yet Hope Is Priceless (Path of Erudition), is simply the winner as her best in slot Light Cone. You can try and obtain Yet Hope Is Priceless from the Light Cone Event Warp “Brilliant Fixation”, which is still ongoing in tandem with Jade’s Character Event Warp. Since this Light Cone is tailor-made for Jade, it can improve Jade’s damage-dealing capacity even further.

At level 80, Yet Hope Is Priceless nets you 952 HP, 582 ATK, and 529 DEF to the holder. This Light Cone has one main Ability, Promise, and there are plenty to break down here. This Light Cone increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 16%. While the wearer is in battle, for every 20% CRIT DMG that exceeds 120%, the DMG dealt by follow-up attack increases by 12%. This effect can stack up to 4 times. When the battle starts or after the wearer uses their Basic ATK, enabling Ultimate or the DMG dealt by follow-up attack to ignore 20% of the target’s DEF, lasting for 2 turns.

To summarize how wonderful Yet Hope Is Priceless for Jade is, not only will it provide a bonus CRIT Rate for Jade, but there is a potential Follow-up Attack damage bonus on the line if you can reach at least 140% CRIT DMG. Moreover, Jade receives a DEF Ignore bonus after she either participates in a battle or after using her Basic ATK, which significantly improves her Ultimate and Follow-up Attacks’ damage.

Best Alternatives for Jade’s Light Cones

Even though we’ve explained that Yet Hope Is Priceless is Jade’s best Light Cone, you should not worry about her replacement Light Cones. As a member of IPC’s Ten Stonehearts, Jade has many resources that she can utilize even without her Signature Light Cone.

Before we dive in, it should be worth mentioning that the recommendations will mainly be 5-Star Light Cones that you can get relatively easily without having to spend any real money.

The best replacement Light Cones for Jade in Honkai: Star Rail is Night on the Milky Way and Eternal Calculus.

Night on the Milky Way Light Cone.

Night on the Milky Way Light Cone.

Light Cones Breakdown

Night on the Milky Way is a free-to-play 5-Star Light Cone option that you can get through Light Cone Event Warp, Standard Banner, or Starlight Exchange Store for 600 Undying Starlight. Its Ability, Meteor Swarm, gives its wielder bonus damage depending on the enemies’ numbers currently on the field, by increasing the wearer’s ATK by 9.0%, up to 5 stacks. When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 30% for 1 turn. These effects can improve Jade’s Talent and Ultimate damage substantially, which is especially true in Pure Fiction.

The next Light Cone is Eternal Calculus, another wonderful Erudition Light Cone that can support Jade’s abilities, especially her Skill. You can get this Light Cone by purchasing it at Herta’s Store after accumulating 8 Herta Tickets by doing Simulated Universe. At Level 80, the wearer can get 1058 HP, 529 ATK, and 396 DEF, and its Ability, Boundless Thoughts, increases the wearer’s ATK by 8%. After using an attack, each enemy target hit additionally increases ATK by 4%. This effect can stack up to 5 times and last until the next attack. If there are 3 or more enemy targets hit, this unit’s SPD increases by 8%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

Best Relics and Planar Ornaments for Jade

Relics are arguably the most versatile part of any Honkai: Star Rail character build, which you can try matching two combinations that you see fit for that character. Moreover, every set has its unique effects and abilities that can shift a character’s potential. For Jade, we want to make sure that she can reach her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG threshold safely while also looking for a way to boost her Quantum DMG.

With that in mind, the best Relic and Planar Ornament set for Jade is the 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars and the 2-piece Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves. Starting with our main Relic set, Genius of Brilliant Stars increases the wearer’s Quantum DMG by 10%. Moreover, when the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF. This Relic Set is perfect for Jade, a straightforward character in terms of the stats she needs, while also boosting her Ultimate’s damage.

Combination Explanations

This combination works well with Jade due to her requirement of having another solid AoE DPS in her team to do the ‘heavy lifting’ for her. Jade is not someone who needs high SPD stat, and you can focus more on getting CRIT Rate sub-stats for her.

The Planar Ornaments, Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves, activates when allies use follow-up attacks, of which the wearer gains 1 stack of Merit, stacking up to 5 times. Each stack of Merit increases the DMG dealt by the wearer’s follow-up attacks by 5%. When there are 5 stacks, additionally increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 25%. By combining Genius of Brilliant Stars and Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves, Jade’s Skill, Talent, and Ultimate can work at a maximum capacity more consistently.

Jade’s Crucial Stats

Here are the main stats we’re recommending Trailblazers should hunt for if they want their Jade to become an absolute Erudition unit she can be:

  • Body: CRIT Rate%
  • Feet: ATK% / SPD
  • Planar Sphere: Quantum DMG%
  • Link Rope: ATK%

Meanwhile, here’s what you want to be on the lookout for in terms of Jade’s sub-stats:

  1. CRIT Rate
  2. CRIT DMG
  3. ATK%
  4. SPD

Always strive for at least more than 70% CRIT Rate and 100% CRIT DMG for Jade, as these two stats are important for her damage output.

Best Teams for Jade in Honkai: Star Rail

Jade AoE Offense Team

Jade pairs excellently with certain characters who perform AoE attacks outside of the Path of Erudition since her Talent’s activation does not require anything that directly ties to how Path of Erudition works.

With that in mind, this team will field Jade, Blade/Firefly/Jingliu, Bronya, and Lynx/Luocha.

Blade, in particular, synergizes well with her. He performs powerful AoE attacks and benefits greatly from the Debt Collector buff that Jade applies. This buff counts as a separate source of HP reduction whenever Blade attacks, amplifying his overall effectiveness in battle. With Jade’s support, Blade’s AoE attacks become even more devastating, allowing him to clear waves of enemies more efficiently. The same can be said with Jingliu and Firefly, who can truly maximize Jade’s Debt Collector status to ensure that her Follow-up Attacks can activate more frequently during a battle.

Essentially, Jade can be a fantastic partner for anyone who performs AoE attacks through their Basic, Skill, Follow-Up, or Ultimate abilities. These characters can take full advantage of Jade’s buffs, enhancing their damage output and overall performance, making it one hell of a team in Pure Fiction.

Firefly Can Be Jade's Best Friend.

Firefly Can Be Jade’s Best Friend.

Jade F2P Team

The last team for Jade in this guide will be her free-to-play team, a team composition that mostly hosts a character who is either free at one point, or you can easily get them from either the gacha system or through Simulated Worlds (only for Herta).

After careful consideration, the Jade F2P Team has Jade, Herta, Bronya, and Natasha/Lynx.

Bronya has the second-highest holding rate within Honkai: Star Rail, at 96.1% ownership within a 25,000 sample size, just behind Dr. Ratio who has the highest holding rate at 99.4% (the full image can be seen through the link here), I will consider her a F2P option since she is recruitable after you manage to spend 300 Standard Tickets. With that in mind, there’s another reason why Bronya takes a spot here: she can give Jade a head start from the Debt Collector character, therefore prolonging the effect while also giving Jade a space to deal damage to her enemies.

As for the Healer, Natasha or Lynx are the suitable characters to fill the last spot, as they can sufficiently provide some useful healing for the entire team and ensuring that Jade and Herta can live to see another battle.
