Honkai: Star Rail | All Lordly Trashcan Locations in 2.2 (Dreamflux Reef, Scorchsand Audition Venue, Penacony Grand Theater)The story of Penacony reaches its climatic finale with Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2. With three brand new areas to explore – the hidden and eerie backdrop of Dreamflux Reef, the chaotic and nightmarish Soulgald Scorchsand Audition Venue, and the majestic, if haunting, Penacony Grand Theater – Version 2.2 has a lot to see and even more to do, especially for Trailblazers on the hunt for more Stellar Jade to fund their Robin or Boothill funds. As luck would have it, these three new locals have also bought back one of Penacony’s most charming new additions: the Lordly Trashcans.

Lordly Traschans is a new type of treasure which was introduced in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 to populate the maps of the Penacony Dreamscape alongside Treasure Chests and Warp Trotters. These tricky sentient rubbish bags are hidden all across the various Dreamscapes, usually as regular metallic bins in an attempt to stay hidden from the rest of the world. If Trailblazers come across the strange beings and either beat them in combat or successfully appeal to their personalities, they’ll walk away with a bunch of rewards including Stellar Jade and Clock Credits.

Here’s where to find all six of the new Lordly Trashcans in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2’s three new areas, the Dreamflux Reef, Soulglad Scorchsand Audition Venue, and Grand Penacony Theater.

The Great Lordly Trashcans

The Great Lordly Trashcans

What are Lordly Trashcans in Honkai: Star Rail?

First things first, let’s quickly go over how to identify the Lordly Trashcans as well as what makes them truly strange. As we previously mentioned, Lordly Trashcans are considered a new type of Treasure item, just like Warp Trotters and treasure chests, meaning that you need to find them if you want to get 100% Treasure in each of Penacony’s areas. However, they don’t appear in reality, only in the Dreamscape, so there aren’t any Lordly Trashcans in The Reverie, but there are at least two in all of Penacony’s other locals.

Additionally, this means that you can only acquire each Trashcan’s unique rewards once. As for where they can be found, the Lordly Trashcans are hiding in various parts of Penacony’s Dreamscape – aka Golden Hour, Dream’s Edge, A Child’s Dream, The Reverie (Dreamscape), Dewlight Pavilion, Clock Studios Theme Park, and the three new areas added with 2.2 – where they’ll be disguised as ordinary rubbish bins. Only once you approach them will their true identity be revealed.

Each of the Lordly Trashcans currently in the game has their own personality, as well as a set of questions or riddles they’ll ask you corresponding to said personality. If you choose the right responses or favour the worldview of that Trashcan, they’ll give you the rewards without any hassle: say the wrong thing, though, and they’ll attack, taking you into combat where you must defeat them to earn those same rewards.

Hiding in Plain Sight

Hiding in Plain Sight

In battle, Lordly Trashcans are extremely dangerous, capable of easily taking out even the toughest party members in a single hit. With each turn, the Lordly Trashcan will attack one of your teammates and then buff its own ATK stat, allowing it to sweep through your team. Their main gimmick is that they don’t have a Weakness until you attack them, which will implant the element of the attacking unit as a Weakness. Break the Lordly Trashcan’s Toughness Bar and they’ll consider the challenge complete, wandering off into the unknown.

So long as you find these Lordly Trashcans and engage with them through either negotiation or wordplay, you’ll be walking away with some bountiful rewards. All of the Lorldy Trashcans in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2 will award successful Trailblazers with 20 Stellar Jade and 120 Clock Credits, meaning that you’ll be 100 Stellar Jade richer by the time you find them all.

The Might of Trashcans

The Might of Trashcans

All Lordly Trashcan Locations in Dreamflux Reef

Dreamflux Reef Lordly Trashcan 1

The first Lordly Trashcan in Dreamflux Reef is an elusive one, in large part because it won’t appear in the overworld as a trashcan. Instead, it’s hidden as a separate interactable item early in the Dreamflux Reef, something you would likely skip over if your only goal were to find the Lordly Traschan.

To start, begin your search at the Narrow Alley Space Anchor, the first teleport waypoint you’ll unlock upon venturing into Dreamflux Reef. Once you arrive, turn around and head into the abandoned train station to your back. This area, much like a lot of Dreamflux Reef, is pretty eerie but, if you take a look over to the right side of the platform (the side with the Basic Treasure Chest on it), you should see a collection of strange pink bubbles.

These bubbles are very out of place but they’re the key to finding our first Lordly Trashcan. By walking over and interacting with the bubbles, you’ll soon find yourself plunged into a nightmarish version of the train station, plagued by an ominous narration for some unseen entity. This entity is, in fact, our first Lordly Trashcan and, to escape this scenario without a fight, you need to play into their routine and act very scared by whatever the Dream Bubbles are showing you

Do that and play your part to perfection (or just beat the tar out of the Lordly Trashcan when it attacks you) and you’ll be walking away 20 Stellar Jade richer and with another bit of Dreamflux Reef treasure ticked off.

Dreamflux Reef Lordly Trashcan 2

As for the second Dreamflux Reef Lordly Trashcan in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2, they’re much easier to locate. Thanks to their unexpected entourage, they’re likely the easiest Lordly Trashcan to find in all of Star Rail

To find it, begin your search at the Bygoneville Space Anchor on the western side of Dreamflux Reef. After you’ve arrived, take the bridge south and continue until you find yourself in Bygoneville’s large and spacious back alley: if it’s your first time here, you’ll likely be accosted by some Dreamflux Gang Members blocking a nearby Treasure Chest.

However, what will likely catch your attention more than the mugging or the treasure will be the two bronze Lordly Trashcans at the other end of the alley, both of whom are watching over a third Lordly Traschan, with this one being the usual grey variant. Speaking to this Traschan will reveal them as the Trashcan Gang Member, an ambitious Trashcan looking to reassemble a deadly gang of loyal sentient garbage.

To successfully avoid a fight with this Trashcan, respond to its first question – “What’s the most important to rebuilding a gang?” – by helping people out. Following that, your second answer should be building a trash depot when asked about what the infamous Trash Gang should be first. Answer both of these questions enthusiastically enough and you’ll come away from Dreamflux Reef with another 20 Stellar Jade in your pocket, as well as 120 Clock Credits.

All Lordly Trashcan Locations in Scorchsand Audition Venue

Scorchsand Audition Venue Lordly Trashcan 1 and 2

Tracking down the two Lordly Trashcans in the Soulglad Scorchsand Audition Venue is a tricky task because, well, they aren’t anywhere on the map: no matter how far you scour or how much rubbish you dig through, you’ll find the corporate audition space free of all kinds of sentient trashcans. Instead, to make them appear, you’ll need to summon them via one of the Auditon Venue’s hidden challenges.

The Lordly Trashcans are attached to the hidden challenge in the Dreamplay Fantasia: Acting Challenge section of the Auditon Venue. To spawn them, start at the Audition Shuttle near the start of the map and then select the Acting Challenge. Before you shoot off, though, you must trigger the hidden challenge by playing certain notes in a specific order on the massive instrument on the challenge selection screen.

The sequence for the hidden Acting Challenge is:

  1. Spin the top of the instrument twice
  2. Turn the handle to the right of the instrument twice
  3. Rotate the band around the instrument three times

If you manage to input the right sequence, you will unlock the hidden challenge of the Acting Challenge. This, in turn, will spawn the two Scorchsand Audition Venue Lordly Trashcans at the end of the stage. These are the Trashcan Bandits Uno and Dos and they’ll happily spew their poisonous opinions of the Family. Oh, and they also want to try and scam you out of your hard-earned Credits.

To avoid a fight, respond to their first question by cursing the Family. Then, to their second question, simply hand over the 1000 Credits they’re asking for. This will pacify both of the Lordly Trashcans and send them away, netting you 40 Stellar Jade for finding both of the Soulglad Sandscorch Audition Venue Lordly Trashcans.

All Lordly Trashcan Locations in the Penacony Grand Theater

Penacony Grand Theater Lordly Trashcan 1

The first of the Lordly Trashcans in the Penacony Grand Theater is relatively easy to find. To locate it, head to the Saloon of Gospels Space Anchor in the western wing of the Theater. This is where Lady Vermillion resides as she waits for you to collect her pink Origami Birds and, close by to where she is biding her time, you’ll find an out-of-place trashcan sitting on a counter nearby.

This is the Trashcan of Order, a believer in the Aeon of Order, Ena. To get your Stellar Jade without needing to combat this devoted believer, you’ll need to play into their worldview and agree with whatever they say. In response to their first query, you should embrace Order. Then, for their second response, declare that there should be no Sundays.

This will greatly please the Trashcan of Order who will scamper away with their harmful beliefs and leave behind 20 Stellar Jade for you to collect.

Penacony Grand Theater Lordly Trashcan 2

As for the second Penacony Grand Theater Lordly Trashcan, and the final Lordly Trashcan of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2, you’ll need to head to the eastern wing of the Theater. Start your journey at the Communing Hall Space Anchor and then head west down the stairs towards the Hall of Chords. While you’re walking down these lavish stairs, keep an eye out on the left staircase as, sooner rather than later, you should spot our next Lordly Trashcan sitting helplessly below one of the Theatre’s marvellous and gigantic posters.

This is the Down-and-Out Trashcan, a lowly beggar who only seeks a decent meal. Unfortunately, to avoid a fight with the Down-and-Out Trashcan, you need to reply with “I don’t have anything to spare either”, otherwise it will lash out at you. In response to the Trashcan’s second statement, tell the Lordly Trashcan that the outlaws and recycling stations are just rumours.

If you follow these steps and successfully navigate this Lordly Trashcans conversation, they will walk away satisfied, leaving you with a blessing from Tatalov as well as 20 Stellar Jade.

That was where to find all six of the new Lordly Trashcans in the Dreamflux Reef, Soulglad Scorchsand Audition Venue, and Grand Penacony Theater Locations in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2.
