Trony Combat Overview

Let’s look at Trony’s Nikke Skills to start the guide. As an Attacker Nikke, Trony specializes in using Cumulative Damage Skill which will help her dish out distributed damage against her enemies.

Trony’s major capabilities come from her Skill 1 and Burst Skill. T.Rony Bomber, her Skill 1, generates Maximum Accumulated Damage before Trony can unleash her distributed damage, meaning that for every shot she releases, her Skill 1 stores 50% of that shot’s damage into this counter, with the maximum number reaching 1536% of her ATK stat.

In addition to that, Efficiency Increase, Trony’s Skill 2, helps her gain some DEF pierce against her targets as well as giving more Distributed Damage count after using 5 Full Charge shots for 10 seconds, meaning that this is a Passive Skill that has minimal requirements to trigger.

Lastly, Trony’s Burst Skill, Mega T.Rony, boosts her Cumulative Damage Skill ratio by up to 62.83% for 10 seconds and gives her a substantial amount of ATK boost. This Burst Skill has a 40-second cooldown.

Overall, while on paper Trony seems potent enough with her Cumulative Damage Skill, this hinges on the idea that you have to wait before that effect even activates. Moreover, her Skill 2 is also incredibly lackluster, which makes Trony a super high-investment character that yields minimal results.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As with every Nikkes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Trony also has her strengths and weaknesses against different content types within the game, as we have curated in the next part of this guide:

Strengths Weaknesses
Her Cumulative Damage Skill is one of a kind in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE as of now, which means Trony has a tool to deal damage against the Raptures that other DPS Nikkes simply don’t have access to. Trony forces you to practically manually use her during any battle, as her Skills require precise timings and shots to trigger, meaning that you lose control over other DPS or Support characters you have in the team.
Trony’s affinity with ATK means that Overload Gears with ATK sub-stats will pair incredibly well with her overall kit.
Trony is a super high-investment Nikke who doesn’t provide enough yields for your team, as not only does she need a high Burst Skill level, but she also needs the correct Supporter Nikkes that are simply wasted on her, as they can perform better when you pair them with top DPS Nikkes such as Red Hood, Alice, Modernia, or Scarlet.
Trony can potentially fight for the main DPS spot in a Solo Raid against Bosses that have Fire Weakness.

Skills Priority

Once you know Trony’s Skills, it’s time to move on to her Skills Priority. As she is an Attacker Nikke, here is the hierarchy of what you should upgrade first (in descending order):

  • Mega T.Rony: Trony’s Burst Skill is the only decent Skill she has that is worthy to receive some Level upgrades because its effects scale well with each Level as it allows Trony’s conversion ratio for her Cumulative Damage Skill to become higher per shot.
  • T.Rony Bomber: Trony’s main way of using her Cumulative Damage Skill. Upgrading this Skill after Mega T.Rony is helpful because it allows Trony to use fewer shots as well as increasing her conversion ratio per shot. I recommend upgrading this Skill to Level 4.
  • Efficiency Increase: The last among the three that you should prioritize is Trony’s Skill 2. It’s very situational and tricky, and the scaling does not yield enough results to warrant an upgrade beyond Level 4.

Best Equipment Substats

Since Trony is an Attacker-Class Nikke, she can only use the corresponding equipment designated for that Class. Trony’s place in the current Goddess of Victory: NIKKE’s meta is almost non-existent, so giving her some Overload Gears is not recommended.

That being said, if you do have some spare Missilis Gears and want to use them for Trony, then I suggest you look out for Increase ATK, Increase Elemental Damage, and Increase Max Ammunition sub-stats to help negate Trony’s weaknesses of needing tons of bullets and ATK to perform properly.

Trony’s Potential Team Composition

As for her potential teammates, Trony can actually fit into the highest meta compositions in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, as she can work with most meta-defining Supporter Nikkes as well as other top DPS units, meaning that Trony herself can slot into any team, however, those teams does not need Trony to function properly.

For those reasons, we will list one potential lineup for Trony to help her safely reach her Cumulative Damage Skill threshold without dying or being interrupted by most Raptures’ attacks.

Meta-Defining Team with Trony

As I mentioned before, Trony can fit right in most team compositions, and this team will do just that to complement her Skills and ensure her safety throughout the battle.

With that in mind, the Meta-Defining team comprises Crown, Liter, Trony, Flex Burst 3 Nikke, and Naga.

This squad features top-flight Nikkes who can work perfectly well with each other. One interesting part you might see here is the combination of Crown and Naga, as opposed to the usual Naga and Tia pairing. The reason for that is Crown can pair well with Naga’s HP recovery effect, so Crown will not have to worry about dying after the Taunt timer ends, thus strengthening her position as the team’s Defender.

In addition to that, we can neglect the top DPS units here in favor of slotting Trony as our main DPS Nikke, though you can use Alice, Red Hood, or Modernia to help her kill the Raptures, as Trony’s Cumulative Damage Skill requires time before you can see the effect.

Trony’s Overall Power Rank

Now that we’ve gone through Trony’s Skills and her Team potential, it’s time to talk about her usability in every content within the game. In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there are many challenges that players must face, such as Interception, Arena, and Tribe Towers.

As stated before, Trony is a relatively niche character who can’t compete with the top DPS characters, however, she can still find some usage when you field her against Interception Bosses or Solo Raid Bosses who have Fire Weakness.

And so, to close off this Trony Nikke guide, we will provide a table that includes her usability against all game contents, including Interception and PvP Arena, to provide insight into what types of content she’s strong in and which are the ones you should avoid using her.

Power Rank Table

Type of Content

Usability Rank

(E – SS)

Explanations
Campaign Stages (Early) C The core problem with Trony is that you need to heavily rely on her Cumulative Damage Skill, therefore forcing you to manually take control of her, thus blocking you out from using other DPS characters or the Supporters that you might have in your team, and although that won’t be much of an issue in Early Campaign Stages, it’s still an annoyance.
Campaign Stages (Late) C Starting in Campaign Stages Chapter 20+, Trony’s place is unfortunately almost minimal, as you will need tons of DPS output as well as having enough heal and offensive buffs to ensure that your team can pass through a Stage, and Trony does not provide such feats for your team.
PvP Arena D Trony’s Cumulative Damage Skill might be hindered if she shoots other Nikkes, reducing her damage output substantially. Moreover, she will heavily rely on her Burst Skill in PvP Arena, and that time window will be the golden opportunity for your opponents to burst down your team.
Interception B Trony can perform well against Interception or Solo Raid Bosses that have Fire Weakness, though once again, she needs proper investments and teammates to perform optimally.
Tribe Tower C There are simply better Nikkes you can use for the Missilis Tribe Tower, meaning that bringing Trony is not advisable, and is more of a desperate and last resort if you don’t have other DPS characters yet.

Should You Pull for Trony?

Unfortunately, Trony left an unamusing impression on me. There are tons of issues within her overall kit and the very fact that you need to heavily invest in all of her Skills, particularly her Burst Skill, without seeing any big payoff once you do so, makes Trony a character that is unworthy of a spot within top meta team compositions in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

So, no, I don’t recommend you to pull for Trony, and instead just wait until she arrives on the Standard Banner, where you can wishlist her and hope for the best. That being said if you still enjoy her character design and interactions with Elegg and Maiden in the latest D.Ark Hero Story Event, then you can try pulling for her just once, as I will also not recommend getting her Max Level Burst Cores, since your precious Gems are better spent on other Nikkes.

Therefore, we place Trony as a C-Tier Nikke for our final verdict.
