Tove Combat Overview
Let’s look at Tove’s Nikke Skills to start the guide. As a Supporter Nikke, she mainly serves as the offensive buffer for her teammates, particularly for those who wield a Shotgun. Tove’s Skill 1, Emergency-Crafted Bullets, allows Tove to have a 5% chance of reloading a portion of her magazine. At the same time, Tove can also provide bonus Max Ammunition and Critical Damage buff to her allies for 5 seconds, which are always welcome against all types of content within the game.
Meanwhile, her Skill 2, Modification Successful, activates only after Skill 1’s Temporary Modifications, is triggered. This Skill has two effects: The first effect gives all allies a bonus Critical Rate, while the second effect gives all allies with a Shotgun a bonus Attack Speed. All of these can activate continuously as long as Temporary Modifications stay active.
Lastly, with her Burst Skill, Miracle of Makeshifts, Tove also provides two different effects depending on her allies’ weapons of choice. The first one is the weaker version of the Burst Skill effect, which only grants all allies 2.32% of Bonus ATK from her ATK stats while granting 24.21% Bonus ATK for all allies who wield Shotgun. Moreover, she can mirror the stack count of Temporary Modifications for 10 seconds, meaning that any stack available, before Tove initiates her Burst, will double after she uses her Burst Skill.
Overall, Tove is a solid offensive buffer, however, she’s only good for Shotgun-wielding Nikkes and has no purposes beyond that, making her usability very low.
Strengths and Weaknesses
To summarize, we have provided a table that highlights Tove’s strengths and weaknesses below:
Strengths | Weaknesses |
---|---|
Tove can provide strong buffs to her allies who wield a Shotgun, especially the Max Ammunition and ATK buffs that can enhance their damage capabilities in battles | Tove’s main strength also makes her one of the weaker Supporter Nikkes in the game, as she can’t provide decent buffs for her allies who don’t wield a Shotgun |
Tove does not require extensive investments, she just needs ATK-based sub-stats in her equipment | Tove’s Skill 1 is a very luck-based Skill, which triggers only 5% out of every time |
Tove’s Burst Skill only provides a minuscule ATK buff for allies outside of those who wield a Shotgun, further making her simply a buffer for Shotgun-based teams, and is unusable for other types of team compositions |
Skills Priority
Now that you know Tove’s Skills, it’s time to move on to her Skills Priority. As she is a Supporter Nikke, here is the hierarchy of what you should upgrade first (in descending order):
- Miracle of Makeshifts: Tove’s Burst Skill is her main source of offensive buffs for her allies, particularly for those who use a Shotgun.
- Emergency-Crafted Bullets: The next Skill to prioritize is her Skill 1, Emergency-Crafted Bullets. This Skill directly ties into Skill 2, which is dependent on this Skill to continuously have the maximum stacks of Temporary Modifications.
- Modification Successful: Skill 2 has the lowest priority among the three simply because it needs Skill 1 to reach its maximum stacks before this Skill’s effects take place.
Best Equipment Substats
Tove is a Supporter-Class Nikke, so she can only use the corresponding equipment designated for that Class. Tove will shine better when you give her multiple Overload Tier buffs, so you must try and give her all the Overload equipment you can gather.
As for the recommended sub-stats, I recommend you to look out for Increase ATK and Increase Max Ammunition sub-stats for optimal offensive buffs output for Tove.
Tove’s Potential Team Composition
As for her potential teammates, Tove’s main strength, which lies in her ability to support those who wield a Shotgun, makes her a potent Nikke to have in Shotgun-based team composition. However, this means that her usage beyond that dwindles by a landslide.
With that in mind, we will list down one potential lineup for Tove in this Goddess of Victory: NIKKE guide.
For this team, we recommend using Tove, Blanc, Sugar, Drake, and Noir.
Tove will be here as the resident Burst 1 Nikke, as well as the main Shotgun buffer that can give Sugar and Drake more juice to deal damage to the Raptures. As for the duo bunny, Blanc, and Noir, act as the offensive buffers and defenders to help Tove provide the much-needed offensive buffs for Drake and Sugar.
Tove’s Overall Power Rank
Now that we’ve gone through Tove’s Skills and her Team potential, it’s time to talk about her usability in every content within the game. In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there are many challenges that players must face, such as Interception, Arena, and Tribe Towers.
As stated before, Tove shines best when you pair her in Shotgun-based team compositions, but she lacks any usage beyond that as her offensive buffs only cater to Nikkes who wield a Shotgun.
And so, to close off this Tove Nikke guide, we will provide a table that includes her usability against all game contents, including Interception and PvP Arena, to provide insight into what types of content she’s strong in and which are the ones you should avoid using her.
Type of Content |
Usability Rank (E – SS) |
Explanations |
---|---|---|
Campaign Stages (Early) | B | If you’re still in the Early Campaign Stages (Chapters 1 – 16), Tove might have a decent capability as a Supporter Nikke, however, only if you have a Shotgun Attacker Nikkes that can utilize her buffs. |
Campaign Stages (Late) | D | Starting in Campaign Stages Chapter 17+, Tove is simply not cut out to be in your team lineups. Highly advisable to not use Tove if you’re already at the Late Stages. |
PvP Arena | C | Tove can still work in PvP Arena if you pair her with Sugar, Drake, and/or Guilty. However, make sure that she’s in a burner team, not your main team, as even her utility loses out against other Burst 1 Nikkes in PvP Arena. |
Interception | D | In Interception, Tove works best against Grave Digger, where you might want to use Shotgun-wielding Nikkes to help breeze through this Interception Boss. Unfortunately, that’s the extent of her usability in Interception, as she falters against other Bosses. |
And that’s the character guide for Tove for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
