Rem Combat Overview
Let’s look at Rem’s Nikke Skills to start the guide. As a Supporter Nikke, Rem specializes in ensuring her allies stay safe and sound by sharing her HP recovery effect.
Rem can do so through her Skills, and for Skill 1, Leave it to Rem!, she can actively increase her ATK stat by continuously firing her large Machine Gun after she gets to use her Burst Skill. Meanwhile, when Rem does manage to use her Burst Skill, this Skill also provides all allies with Rem’s HP Recovery effect from her Skill 2, which we will discuss in the next paragraph.
In addition to that, perhaps Rem’s biggest strength, lies in her Skill 2, Rem the Healer, which is her main healing power. As soon as she enters a battle, she will continuously heal a percentage of her HP based on her attack damage. If that’s not enough for you, there’s more to it! Rem will also share this HP recovery effect with two Rocket Launcher allies with the highest ATK, practically making your Burst 3 Nikkes who use a Rocket Launcher get permanent healing during a battle.
Lastly, Rem’s Burst Skill, No Mercy from Rem, allows her to enter the Demon’s Breath stance, which improves her Critical Rate for 10 seconds. Moreover, this Burst Skill also enhances all Rocket Launcher allies’ ATK and Max Ammunition Capacity for 10 seconds as well.
Overall, Rem is coming in strong and has the potential to become the meta-defining Supporter Nikke, especially when you use her in a Rocket Launcher-based team.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As with every Nikkes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Rem also has her strengths and weaknesses against different content types within the game, as we have curated in the next part of this guide:
Strengths | Weaknesses |
---|---|
Rem’s HP recovery sharing means that as long as she can hit her targets and live through a battle, she can heal two Rocket Launcher DPS units as well as the others once she gets her Burst Skill active. | To get the maximum effect from Rem’s Skill 1, you will need a lot of Max Ammunition Capacity increase, either through Overload Gears or other Supporter Nikkes who can provide you with that, such as Noir, making Rem quite a needy Supporter Nikke. |
Rem’s massive buffs to Rocket Launcher Nikkes mean that she will take over some of the best Burst 2 Nikkes out there in a Rocket Launcher-focused team. | |
On the flip side, being heavily leaning toward Rocket Launcher Nikkes means that Rem is practically almost useless in other team compositions, as those teams are only able to enjoy her Skill 1’s effect. | |
Rem’s overall kit is the perfect fit for Emilia, which requires high investments and numerous ATK buffs to get her Burst damage going up. In addition to that, units like A2 or Scarlet: Black Shadow can also enjoy Rem’s presence in their team, thanks to Rem’s focused abilities in enhancing Rocket Launcher wielders. | |
Like Emilia, Rem’s worst nightmare in PvP Arena is Electric Code Nikkes, so beware of them when trying to battle another player’s lineup. |
Skills Priority
Once you know Rem’s Skills, it’s time to move on to her Skills Priority. As she is a Supporter Nikke, here is the hierarchy of what you should upgrade first (in descending order):
- Rem the Healer: Rem’s Skill 2 is her main source of healing power, so prioritizing this Skill is a must as the HP recovery effect scales really well per Level.
- No Mercy from Rem: The next Skill to prioritize is her Burst Skill, No Mercy from Rem. The Critical Rate bonus that Rem can gain from this Skill is absolutely massive, and with the addition of granting bonus ATK and Max Ammunition Capacity for all Rocket Launcher allies, upgrading Rem’s Burst Skill takes the second priority after her Skill 2.
- Leave it to Rem!: Rem’s Skill 1 is her weakest Skill, due to how low the scaling works, making it borderline not worth it to level up beyond Level 5.
Best Equipment Substats
Since Rem is a Supporter-Class Nikke, she can only use the corresponding equipment designated for that Class. As Rem requires several things to help her Skills shine even better, you’d have to consider equipping her with at least one Overload Gear.
With that in mind, I recommend you to look out for Increase Max Ammunition, Increase ATK, and Increase Elemental Damage sub-stats for Rem to maintain her Skills’ optimal uptime.
Rem’s Potential Team Composition
As for her potential teammates, Rem is incredibly versatile thanks to her ability to practically maintain her allies’ health, especially the Rocket Launcher Nikkes. However, this ability also slightly backfires on her usability with other team compositions, as those teams will not be able to enjoy Rem’s maximum support potential. With that in mind, we will list two team lineups for her, one for PvP Arena and the other for PvE environment in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
Rem’s Power Move
As stated previously, Rem’s main power lies in her ability to enhance Rocket Launcher allies while also continuously healing them as well as herself. With that in mind, for the PvP Arena, you want to have Rem supporting units like Emilia, A2, or Scarlet: Black Shadow, as these DPS Nikkes can gain tremendous bonuses from Rem if you can manage them.
So, the recommended PvP-focused team with Rem as your main Burst 2 Nikke is composed of Liter, Rem, Emilia, A2/Scarlet: Black Shadow, and Flex Burst 3 Nikke.
Rocket Launcher Support
Just like the PvP Arena composition, Rem’s lineup for the PvE environment is also not that different. The only takeaway from this is that, unlike PvP Arena, you have more freedom of choice regarding which Nikke you will pick for your Campaign Stages, Interception, Simulation Room, and Tribe Tower.
For example, you can bring Modernia or Red Hood as your main DPS units even though you have Rem on your team since you can plug Rem’s weaknesses by bringing other Supporter Nikkes like Liter, Blanc, Noir, Naga, and Tia.
However, the baseline team composition for PvE content with Rem should look like this: Liter, Rem, Scarlet: Black Shadow, Emilia, and Modernia/Red Hood.
Rem’s Overall Power Rank
Now that we’ve gone through Rem’s Skills and her Team potential, it’s time to talk about her usability in every content within the game. In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, there are many challenges that players must face, such as Interception, Arena, and Tribe Towers.
As stated before, Rem’s strength lies in making your Rocket Launcher units more potent, however, though semi-restrictive, she can still be useful with other team compositions, albeit reducing her support potential.
And so, to close off this Rem Nikke guide, we will provide a table that includes her usability against all game contents, including Interception and PvP Arena, to provide insight into what types of content she’s strong in and which are the ones you should avoid using her.
Power Rank Table
Type of Content |
Usability Rank (E – SS) |
Explanations |
---|---|---|
Campaign Stages (Early) | SS | If you’re still in the Early Campaign Stages (Chapters 1 – 16), Rem’s healing powers from her Skill 1 and Skill 2 are absolute beasts that can hold down the fort during any kind of battles you might encounter here, making her a great Burst 2 Nikke to have. |
Campaign Stages (Late) | SS | Starting in Campaign Stages Chapter 17+, you need to pay attention to which team you are going to put Rem in, as her usability dwindles outside of Rocket Launcher-focused teams, so pairing her with units like Emilia or Scarlet: Black Shadow is recommended to tackle through the later Campaign Stages. |
PvP Arena | S | Rem’s supporting ability to keep her Rocket Launcher allies alive as long as Rem herself remains alive is a nice bonus to have in PvP Arena. Just be careful if your enemy has many Electric Code Nikkes in one of their lineups, as Rem is weak against them. |
Interception | S | Interception is where Rem’s presence can become a powerful beast, as her Burst Skill and Skill 1’s effects can become a deadly omen for all Interception Bosses that are currently available. |
Tribe Tower | S | As there hasn’t been any Abnormal Tower yet, Rem’s usage remains in the Main Tribe Tower, and she’s good enough to help your team power through even the tough floors above Floor 150. |
Should You Pull for Rem?
It is undeniable that the landscape of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is ever-expanding, with many new Nikkes coming out every few weeks. The latest ones came from the last events, Elegg and D: Killer Wife, and now, with the release of the collaboration event with Re:Zero, Emilia took center stage before Rem. But the question persists: How well will she fare within the game? Is she a must-pull Nikke?
The answer to the question is yes, Rem is a must-pull Nikke in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Just the healing power alone should be enough to entice you to get her, but if that’s not enough, then Rem’s Burst Skill will help you lock in and recruit her, as that Skill alone helps your Rocket Launcher Nikkes’ lives easier during battles.
Is she still useful outside of that team composition? Yes, you don’t necessarily have to include Rem as she’s not too reliant on Rocket Launcher DPS units, however, it will indeed dwindle Rem’s utility if you decide to place her outside of Rocket Launcher-focused teams. Rem’s damage output is also something to be considered, as the bonus Critical Rate from her Burst Skill and her inherent Skill 1’s effect means that she can hold down the fort just fine.
Therefore, we place Rem as an SS-Tier Nikke as our final verdict.
And that’s the character guide for Rem for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
