The Deshret Desert is a new area in Genshin Impact that has expanded the lands of Sumeru. This includes a batch of new Domains and puzzles that players can figure out to net themselves some nice Primogems and more.
One of these Domains is called ‘Desert Vivarium’ and features a puzzle that some players may find a bit confusing. It involves the new ancient barriers that are found all over the Deshret Desert, Pyro Monuments and fire flowers. If you solve the puzzle, a one-time Domain is yours to unlock.
Here’s how to unlock the Desert Vivarium Domain in Genshin Impact Version 3.1.

Where to find the Desert Vivarium Domain
You can find the Desert Vivarium Domain in Genshin Impact in the Northern section of the Deshret Desert. The Statue of the Seven is the closest direct teleport point, as is one teleport waypoint directly to the East of the Domain.
From the Statue of the Seven, make your way towards the Pyramid structure to the North. This isn’t the main structure with the upside pyramid, but a smaller one that is slightly buried in the sand. This is known as the Dune of Carouses and from here you can head immediately West.
After that make your way around a few dunes and cliffs and eventually, you will find yourself at the Domain.
So how do you unlock it?

How to Solve the Puzzle
This puzzle involves Flaming Flowers, Pyro Monuments and these strange new barriers that pop all over the Deshret Desert. Stick on a Pyro character like Amber, Diluc or Yoimiya because you will need them in the following section.
Around the locked Domain, you will see 5 Pyro Monuments. Some are hidden behind broken walls and areas of a long destroyed building, several are out in the open sands. You must activate these monuments in a specific order so that the Domain opens up.
The way you can tell which order the Monuments go in is through the amount of Flaming Flowers scattered around each Monument.
All Monuments in Order
For example, the starting Pyro Monument has no Flaming Flowers around it at all. It’s completely empty. The next Monument in the chain has a single Flaming Flower surrounding it. Continue down this path and you will eventually find the correct order.
Activate the Pyro Monuments in the correct order depending on the amount of Flaming Flowers near them and you will unlock the Desert Vivarium Domain.
Do note that invisible barriers are blocking off your movement in this area. You won’t be able to go directly from Monument to Monument as these walls block you off. They are pieces of the ancient technology found all over the Deshret Desert and bare a striking resemblance to Candace’s shield. These walls will disappear after you unlock the Desert Vivarium Domain in Genshin Impact.

Here is the exact solution to the Desert Vivarium Domain in Genshin Impact, with images to guide you.
The first Pyro Monument is on the left side of the section next to the Domain. The other 4 Monuments are in a strict square shape. You will find the Monument in the sand without any Flaming Flowers close by.
Monument 1
The second Pyro Monument is to the South-East (or bottom-right) of the area around the Domain. You will find the Monument near a small outcrop of a wall with a cactus covered in Redcrests and one Flaming Flower nearby.
Monument 2
The third Pyro Monument is to the South-West (or bottom-left) of the Desert Vivarium Domain. You will find the Monument wedged between a cross-section of a wall, with two Flaming Flowers hidden behind it.
Monument 3
The fourth Pyro Monument is in the North-West (or top-left) section of the Domain. You will find the Monument out in the open with 3 Flaming Flowers directly in front of it.
Monument 4
Finally, the last Pyro Monument is to the direct right of the Domain. You will find the Monument to the right of a patch of 4 Flaming Flowers.
Monument 5
Activate these Monuments in this exact order and you will unlock the Desert Vivarium Domain. This is a one-time reward Domain which gives you 40 Primogems, 5 Dendro Sigils, 3 Teachings of Praxis, some level-up materials and an artifact or two.
