Sumeru’s Hidden Call of the Nameless City Begins: The Strange Parchment

Before you can start hunting for Call of the Nameless City achievement in Genshin Impact‘s Sumeru region, you must complete at least a part of the Vimana Agama questline.

Once you manage to get to that certain point, you will get a unique drop called Strange Parchment. It’s time to initiate this Sumeru’s hidden achievement.

After you open the letter, you’ll find that the Strange Parchment is a sort of a note left behind by someone, and that person set up three challenges for us.

The First Challenge

Apart from the letter, this Sumeru region’s hidden achievement has a map that will help you go through it.

The map points out to the Devantaka Mountain area, so head to the Statue of The Seven there. From the statue, glide down to the southeast region, where you’ll find a Time Trial Challenge, just right beside the Ruin Golem’s arm.

Once you are ready, start the challenge. This one requires you to collect 8 Anemo Particles within the allocated time frame. It’s pretty easy to do since there will be multiple Four-Leaf Sigils to help you out.

After you finish it, a Common Chest will appear as the reward, and you will get another clue regarding the parchment, and the name will change to Unsealed Parchment.

The Second Challenge

The Strange Parchment you gained beforehand has changed into Unsealed Parchment, revealing a little bit more information about the second challenge.

For the next part of this Sumeru’s hidden achievement, from the Common Chest that you get from the first challenge, glide down towards the northeast area, where you’ll find the second Time Trial Challenge.

This time around, the challenge requires you to defeat 3 Ruin enemies in one minute. Defeat them, and you will gain a Remarkable Chest for the completion. This chest also rewards you by updating the parchment to Guiding Parchment.

The Third Challenge

After you finish the second challenge, head northwest and look down to the canyon, where you will find a Fishing Spot.

Before you fish, however, make sure you purchase the Sugardew Bait from the Fishing Association. You can find the Fishing Association on Port Osmos’ northern side.

Once you purchase the Sugardew Bait formula and craft several baits in the Crafting Bench, it’s time to go fishing! You can do it in either the daytime or nighttime.

The fishing requires a bit of patience, as luck also comes to play here. If you’re lucky, the first fish you catch will net you the Whispering Parchment. However, if you’re a bit unlucky, it will take several tries before you can get the parchment.

Sumeru’s Hidden Call of the Nameless City: The Finale

After you manage to find the parchment from fishing, you now have the three pieces of clues for Sumeru’s hidden Call of the Nameless City achievement.

Now, head to the Teleport Waypoint that is the nearest to Devantaka Mountain’s Statue of The Seven.  Again, you need to at least do certain parts of Vimana Agama to unlock this Teleport Waypoint.

From there, glide down to the north where you will find an abandoned camp and 4 Torches. To get the achievement, you need to light up the torches in a certain sequence.

The first torch is the front left one. Use Pyro to ignite it. After that, it’s the one right beside the first torch. Again, light it up.

Once you do so, get to the torch that’s right in front of you (if you’re standing near Torch 2), and ignite it. Finally, light up the last torch and you will get a Luxurious Chest, as well as the long awaited Call of the Nameless City achievement.

Call of the Nameless City is one of the many hidden achievements lying in wait in Genshin Impact‘s Sumeru region. Hoyoverse keeps making them more challenging to find, but they are still very enjoyable.
