How to Get Natlan Shrine of Depths Keys in Genshin Impact

To veteran Genshin Impact players, the Shrine of Depths is a familiar and comforting sight across Teyvat. While they all house glorious treasures, they all require you to obtain a special key to open them; no key, no treasure, simple as. For the Natlan Shrine of Depths, you’ll need to collect Natlan Shrine Keys, both of which are the blazing red of the Pyro element.

The primary method of earning new Shrine Keys in Genshin Impact is to level up that region’s Statue of the Seven. To level up the Statue, you’ll need to explore the world, collecting as many Oculi as you; as the Nation of Pyro, Natlan’s Oculi are the Pyroculi, fiery little collectables shaped like a sun. With 108 Pyroculi currently available in the Version 5.0 locations, you can reach Level 4 with the Natlan Statue of the Seven, allowing you to pick up two Natlan Shrine Keys if you collect them all (one from hitting Statue Level 2 and the other from hitting Statue Level 4).

Meanwhile, the other way to earn Shrine Keys is to redeem your Pyro Sigils at the Tablet of Tona. The Tablet is Natlan’s equivalent to Fontaine’s Fountain of Lucine or Inazuma’s Sacred Sakura Tree; essentially, it’s the place you visit to turn in all of the Pyro Sigils you find throughout your journey, receiving various bountiful rewards in the process. You can begin trading in your Pyro Sigils once you complete Act 1 of the Natlan Archon Quest. The final two Shrine Keys in Version 5.0 are available at Tablet Level 8 and Tablet Level 18.

Like with all other nations in Genshin Impact, more regions will be added to Natlan over time, bringing with them new chests to plunder, challenges to complete, and Pyroculi to find. They will also inevitably add more Shrines and more methods of earning Shrine Keys. You can use any Natlan Shrine Key you obtain to unlock any Natlan Shrine of Depths, even those added in the far-off future

All Natlan 5.0 Shrine of Depths Locations

Natlan Shrine of Depths 1 Location

The first Natlan Shrine of Depths is in the Tepeacac Rise region of Natlan, the area closest to the Children of Echoes. As the name suggests, Tepeacac Rise is an area composed of many different elevations, with craggy cliffs and rough cuts of earth jutting up all across the land.

Start your journey to the first Shrine by heading over to the Blazing Ruins Domain, the Natan Talent Book Domain which is a short hike away from the region’s first Statue of the Seven. Once you arrive at the Domain, we recommend putting Kachina into your team as her climbing skills will make this next segment far easier (all players will receive one free copy of Kachina by progressing through the early portions of the Natlan AQ).

Your goal is to scale the massive mountain behind the Blazing Ruins Domain. If you were climbing, it might prove to be quite the challenge but with Kachina in your party, you can pop her Elemental Skill and glide up the wall with ease. Upon reaching the top, you’ll find yourself next to a rather tranquil pool of water, one being watched over by several relaxing Saurians as well as the first Natlan Shrine of Depths.

Natlan Shrine of Depths 2 Location

Natlan’s second Shrine of Depths in Genshin Impact Version 5.0 can be found a little further northwest in the Sulfurous Veins area. Beautiful shining crystals cover every inch of this mine and the land has a wide variety of elevations, all of which are hiding a menagerie of treasure for you to find and plunder.

Similar to the first Shrine, the second Natlan Shrine of Depths is high up on an elevated bit of ground. To reach it, we, once again, recommend using Kachina to make the climbing sections far less arduous. The best place to scale the walls is next to the Tequemecan Valley Teleport Waypoint closest to the Statue of the Seven as the walls are fairly small and circle around exactly where you need to go. Alternatively, you can make use of the Tepetlisaurs who roam in abundance at the Sulfurous Veins if you don’t want to use Kachina.

Either way, make your way up the walls and then head over to the northmost Teleport Waypoint, which will give you a bit of extra security in case you fall back down. The raised bit of land you need to reach in the Sulfurous Veins is the one with two small pools of water. From the edge of the cliff near the Waypoint, you can simply glide on over. There, you’ll find a couple of puzzles and the second Natlan Shrine of Depths.

Natlan Shrine of Depths 3 Location

Huitztli Hill is the location of our third Natlan Shrine of Depths in Genshin Impact. In fact, it is almost directly west of the second Shrine, making it relatively easy to reach.

Your main goal here is the mound of raised earth above the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant World Boss, which is where the third Shrine is located. If you already have the Waypoint near the Qucusaur fight unlocked, you can use the Kachina method to scale the colourfully painted walls outside of the arena to take you straight there; otherwise, head west from the Waypoint we unlocked while finding the second Shrine of Depths and you’ll be there in no time flat.

Be careful when exploring this area as one of Natlan’s Local Legends – the Polychrome Tri-Stars – are lurking nearby and they can prove very troublesome if you aren’t expecting them. Get around the Fatui, though, and the third Shrine of Depths will be yours to claim.

Natlan Shrine of Depths 4 Location

Unlike the previous three Shrines, the fourth and final Natlan Shrine of Depths in Version 5.0 is in the very southern stretch of the map, near the People of the Springs. Unlike the northern expanse, lush ocean waters cover most of Natlan’s southern reaches of Natlan.

In a stroke of good fortune, the Shrine is very close to the main point of interest in southern Natlan. Beginning at the People of the Springs Waypoint, head south towards where the first Tribal Chronicles Quest awaits you. Upon reaching the border between the People of the Springs and Ameyalco Waters, look over to the opposite shore and the red gates of the final Natlan Shrine of Depths will be waiting for their key.

That was where to find all of the Natlan Shrine of Depths in Genshin Impact Version 5.0.
