What Are Dark Matter in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
As mentioned before, Dark matter is a very valuable crafting material with a rarity of 8 stars. This means you can only get access to dark matter locations once you are deep into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Moreover, you will not be able to find them as random drops or buy them from shops. There is a reason they are so rare to find in game. These orbs are the crafting materials for some of the most important enhanced accessories. And these upgraded accessories give you immense stat boosts and improved abilities.
But before that, you have to unlock the recipes for the six different accessories you can upgrade in the game. For which you have to complete a minigame to collect a specific Transmuter Chip. After you have collected the special Transmuter chip, you will get the recipes in your Item Transmuter.
