Disney Dreamlight Valley | How to Feed and Tame Critters

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are plenty of characters from classic Disney and Pixar to befriend, but there are a variety of other creatures you can dedicate your attention to. In each location, there are animals, or critters, you can befriend by giving them certain food. After feeding them several times, they’ll become a companion and follow you around. Of course, that’s not the only reward. When a critter is fed, they’ll drop various things such as Dream Shards, Motifs, or Memories. Once registered, you can have them follow you at will. This guide will tell you how to get all eleven critters, and their differing colors, registered in your collection. Once a critter has been added to the collection, you’ll be able to access them from the Companions tab inside the Wardrobe option in the inventory menu.

Critters

The biggest things to note are that each critter will need at least two real world days to be added as a companion. This is because they need to fed at least twice with it’s favorite food, and only the first successful feeding counts towards collecting them.

Sunday is the best day for critter variety because almost all variants have a chance to spawn in the morning or afternoon. The rare colored critter will only spawn one specific day of the week for only six hours. Some of the creatures will also require you approach them in a certain way to feed them. These will be as follows:

None: You can approach them and feed them easily.

Red Light, Green Light: Stop when they have their heads up. Go when they have their heads down. Repeat until they lay on their bellies.

Tag: When you have caught their attention, chase after them until they stop. 

Patience: You have to wait for them to be ready.
