Destiny 2: The Final Shape | All Pale Heart Weapon God Rolls and Best Perks

If you'd like to know the best perks and God Rolls for all of the new Pale Heart weapons in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, then check out this easy guide for more information. The Pale Heart of the Traveler has introduced eight new weapons, including some brand new archetypes, which have the potential to be some of the best weapons in the game.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape | All Pale Heart Weapon God Rolls and Best PerksThe Pale Heart, the new patrol zone introduced in The Final Shape, is easily the best destination in Destiny 2. Brimming with secrets and with new discoveries around every corner, the Pale Heart of the Traveler marries the whimsy of the Dreaming City with the artistic brilliance of some of the wildest Dungeons and Raids. It has also introduced a new suite of patrol weapons, all of which have a unique and powerful Origin Trait and can be earned by completing activities and focusing engrams within the new destination. And these weapons are shaping up to be some of the best in Destiny 2.

With eight new weapons to get your hands on, the Pale Heart arsenal includes the likes of the first Support Frame Auto Rifle, which is a borderline Exotic addition, the first Rocket Sidearm to go in the Kinetic slot, the first Stasis Heavy Burst Hand Cannon, and plenty more. With so many weapons to choose from and so many perk combinations to sort through, it can be tricky to know what to keep and what to shard.

Here are the god rolls and best perks for all the new Pale Heart weapons introduced in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

All New Pale Heart Weapons and How to Obtain Them in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

In total, there are seven Pale Heart weapons to collect in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. While you will require different methods to unlock all of them, all Pale Heart weapons can drop as Deepsight variants and, thus, can be crafted. Additionally, once you’ve obtained a weapon, you can get additional copies by focusing Pale Heart Engrams at Ghost in the Lost Tower.

You will unlock access to two Pale Heart weapons by simply playing through The Final Shape campaign. Those weapons are The Call Rocket Sidearm and the No Hesitation Support Frame Auto Rifle. These are, arguably, the two most interesting additions to the Pale Heart line-up.

Focus New Pale Heart Weapons at Ghost

Focus New Pale Heart Weapons at Ghost

To unlock the remaining Pale Heart weapons, you’ll need to turn to Micah-10, a new vendor in the Lost Tower who will give you a lot of post-campaign quests. The quests you need to complete are the Convalescence series of quests. Each one of these introduces you to a key part of Micah’s Lost Ghost questline and, as a reward, they each give you a new Pale Heart weapon.

  • Convalescence: Rootbound awards the Someday Kinetic Shotgun
  • Convalescence: Underbrush awards the Pro Memoria Strand Machine Gun
  • Convalescence: Greenery awards the Embraced Identity Void Sniper Rifle

The final three Pale Heart weapons come from completing a different set of quests for Micah-10. To be more specific, you need to complete the Lost in Darkness quests for her: the first three times you complete them, she’ll give you a guaranteed Deepsight variant of one of the following weapons, after which you can focus more copies from Ghost in the Lost Tower. The three Pale Heart weapons available in this manner are:

  • Bold Endings, Stasis Hand Cannon
  • Axial Lacuna, Solar Fusion Rifle
  • False Idols, Solar Sword

Dealer’s Choice Origin Trait

All Pale Heart weapons from The Final Shape (as well as the Legendary variant of the Khvostov 7G-02, which you can learn how to obtain here) come with the innate Dealer’s Choice Origin Trait. Dealer’s Choice is a very interesting Origin Trait because you can directly increase the potency of its effect via build crafting and weapon choice as opposed to mechanical skill.

Dealer’s Choice regenerates a small amount of Super energy whenever you get a final blow with a Dealer’s Choice weapon. Equipping multiple weapons from the Pale Heart will increase the effect, meaning that, if you have a Kinetic, Energy, and Heavy weapon all from the Pale Heart, all three of them will benefit from the increased Super energy gains.

Compared to other Origin Traits, Dealer’s Choice is easy to understand and even easier to naturally include in your builds. You don’t have to balance buffs or even quick-swap between Pale Heart weapons: just slay out and you get more Super energy back. All Guardians want to get their Super back faster – especially with Prismatic and the new Supers introduced with The Final Shape – and these weapons give you an easy and reliable way of doing that with one of Destiny 2’s strongest Origin Traits.

The Call (Rocket Sidearm)

The first weapon we’ll be taking a look at, and the first Pale Heart weapon players will get access to, is The Call, the first Strand Rocket Sidearm and easily the most popular of all the new patrol weapons. Between its position as the first Rocket Sidearm in the Kinetic slot, a rock-solid list of potential perks, and some stellar gun feel, The Call has quickly risen the ranks.

Like most Pale Heart weapons, The Call can drop with seven traits in either column. The Call’s first column perk pool contains the following:

  • Subsistence
  • Strategist
  • Lead from Gold
  • Slice
  • Beacon Rounds
  • Demolitionist
  • Stats for All

Meanwhile, in column two, The Call can roll with the following perks:

  • One for All
  • Desperate Measures
  • Adrenaline Junkie
  • Vorpal Weapon
  • Golden Tricorn
  • Multikill Clip
  • Hatchling
The Call Strand Sidearm

The Call Strand Sidearm

The Call God Rolls

One of the main reasons why The Call has become so popular is that it has very few bad or even middling perks. Most of the options available are excellent, allowing even a mediocre roll of The Call to be extremely viable.

In the first column, Lead from Gold is an interesting choice as it lets you run The Call more often as your primary method of offence: instead of running both Special and Heavy Finder, you only need to run the latter to see the benefits. This works in any combo on any build, making it an excellent passive choice. Alternatively, Beacon Rounds is a Rocket Sidearm staple that was very popular (and powerful) on Indebted Kindness and will be just as favourably on The Call.

Meanwhile, in the second column, The Call has several options for damage perks but the most enticing one for most players will likely be One For All. The AoE from Rocket Sidearms makes multi-target perks like OFA relatively easy to activate, letting most players safely trigger one of the strongest buffs in the game for very little work. On a similar note, Vorpal Weapon is a super simple passive buff which will make The Call excellent against tougher enemies. Then, of course, you have other staples like Hatchling which also work excellently.

So, in terms of God Rolls, consider trying the following on The Call:

  • Lead from Gold + Vorpal Weapon / One for All (Great general PvE roll for all scenarios)
  • Slice + Hatchling (Solid Special weapon for Strand and Strand-centric Prismatic builds)
  • Beacon Rounds + Vorpal Weapon (Adept at both add clear and boss damage)

No Hesitation (Support Frame Auto Rifle)

The other Pale Heart weapon getting a lot of attention from players is No Hesitstaion, a new Solar Auto Rifle and the first Support Frame in Destiny 2. Against enemies, this weapon functions just like a normal Auto Rifle but aim it at an ally and pulling the trigger will cause your bullets to heal instead of harm, essentially allowing No Hesitation to act like the Exotic Lumina… only even better.

With this new playstyle, a bunch of new perks have been introduced to accommodate it. No Hesitation’s column one perk pool contains the following:

  • Physic
  • Subsistence
  • Ensemble
  • Grave Robber
  • Demolitionist
  • Overflow
  • Strategist

Then, in column two, you can pick up these perks for your No Hesitation:

  • Incandescent
  • Attrition Orbs
  • Frenzy
  • Disruption Break
  • Circle of Life
  • Desperate Measures
  • Surrounded
No Hesitation Solar Auto Rifle

No Hesitation God Rolls

Because of No Hesitation’s unique profile and frame, there are a ton of different ways to play this weapon: do you want to go all in on the support aspect or try and make a competitive hybrid where both damage and healing shine?

In column one, Physic stands out as a perk for the medic-minded Guardian. Physic is a new perk that grants you and your allies Restoration whenever you rapidly heal allies. At base, this grants Restoration x1, which is already very good, but Enhanced Physic will grant Restoration x2, which is the equivalent of a Touch of Flame-enhanced Healing Grenade. Outside of support, Overflow is a solid perk for making sure that you never run out of ammo, whereas Strategist and Demolitionist both fit into specific Class Ability or Grenade heavy builds.

Then, for column two, things get even more interesting with the addition of Circle of Life, another new healing perk. Circle of Life grants a damage bonus for several seconds after rapidly healing allies. Similar to Physic, this is a huge boon as you’ll not only be keeping your allies alive but giving yourself some extra damage. Meanwhile, Attrition Orbs is excellent as you can spawn Orbs by shooting enemies or allies, and Incandescent continues to be one of the best elemental verbs in Destiny 2.

The three main No Hesitation God Rolls you should be on the hunt for are:

  • Physic + Circle of Life (All in on support and healing)
  • Physic + Attrition Orbs (Support focused on Orb generation alongside healing, most useful on non-Warlocks)
  • Overflow + Incandescent (Great add clear with healing as a bonus)

Someday (Shotgun)

Someday is a new Kinetic Precision Shotgun and one of the more overlooked offerings from the Pale Heart arsenal. Precision Frames have never been the most popular Shotgun archetype and the other Pale Heart weapons are simply more appealing or more interesting. However, there are still some good options here, especially if you’re looking for a Kinetic Special to make full use of Dealer’s Choice.

In column one, Someday can roll the following perks:

  • Threat Remover
  • Strategist
  • Dual Loader
  • Threat Detector
  • Loose Change
  • Lead from Gold
  • Elemental Capacitor

Meanwhile, in column two, you’re looking at these perks for Someday:

  • Swashbuckler
  • Opening Shot
  • Collective Action
  • Vorpal Weapon
  • Recombination
  • Cascade Point
Someday Kinetic Shotgun

Someday God Rolls

The brunt of Someday’s perks skew more towards PvP than they do towards PvE, with options like Elemental Capacitor, Threat Detector, and Opening Shot standing out from the competition in that regard. This is especially true because Someday can get enhanced variants of these perks when you manage to craft it.

Like The Call, Someday can roll with Lead From Gold. While it may not become your main damage option like a Rocket Sidearm can, a Lead From Gold Someday still allows you some more breathing room in terms of your available mods. Alternatively, Recombination is a solid pick for those with builds primarily built around elemental effects and abilities, such as many of the builds seen on the new Prismatic subclasses, as it gives Someday a sizable damage bonus on its next shot.

  • Threat Detector + Opening Shot (Good roll for PvP and the Crucible)
  • Lead From Gold + Recombination (Nice Kinetic option for Prismatic or elemental heavy builds)

Embraced Identity (Sniper Rifle)

Embraced Identity is the new Void Adaptive Sniper Rifle and while it may be slightly overshadowed by Critical Anomaly, the Stasis Sniper Rifle from the Salvation’s Edge Raid, there’s a surprising amount of versatility packed into this weapon. There are a couple of options which may make it a superb addition for Raiding or other tough bits of endgame.

In the first column, Embraced Identity can roll with the following:

  • Permeability
  • Destabilising Rounds
  • Rewind Rounds
  • Opening Shot
  • Reconstruction
  • Attrition Orbs
  • Demolitionist

In column two, Embraced Identity to the following perks:

  • Fourth Times the Charm
  • Redirection
  • Precision Instrument
  • High Ground
  • Moving Target
  • Box Breathing
  • Elemental Capacitor
Embraced Identity

Embraced Identity

Embraced Identity God Rolls

In column one, Embraced Identity has some solid options, including Destabilising Rounds, Rewind Rounds, and Reconstruction. Destabilising Rounds got a sneaky buff in The Final Shape which makes the Volatile applied by the perk trigger if the enemy dies, giving it a bit more life than it had previously. If you have a good Void build and would like a high-powered Special option that can instantly apply and likely trigger Volatile, Embraced Identity is a good pick.

The most interesting and enticing perk in Embraced Identity’s second column is Precision Instrument. Embraced Identity is the only crafted Sniper in either the Kinetic or Energy slot which can use Precision Instrument, which is a really strong perk in certain boss encounters and Raid scenarios. Aside from that, Fourth Times the Charm is always a solid option on Snipers (as Supremacy has proven over the last several months).

If you’re looking to add Embraced Identity to your arsenal, consider snagging one of the following rolls:

  • Rewind Rounds + Precision Instrument (Great long ranged option for bosses and Raid encounters)
  • Rewind Rounds + Fourth Times the Charm (Void Supremacy which you’ll basically never need to reload)
  • Opening Shot + Moving Target (Good roll for Crucible, if you can live without Snapshot)

Pro Memoria (Machine Gun)

Pro Memoria is another one of the Pale Heart’s heavy hitters and a surprisingly popular offering. That becomes significantly less surprising when you look at its perk pool which is pretty stacked with damage, utility, and ease-of-use enhancing traits that players of any skill level can make use of.

In column one, Pro Memoria can roll the following traits:

  • Envious Assassin
  • Hatchling
  • Demolitionist
  • Strategist
  • Attrition Orbs
  • To The Pain
  • Reconstruction

Meanwhile, in column two, you have access to these perks:

  • Collective Action
  • Desperate Measures
  • Target Lock
  • Frenzy
  • Dragonfly
  • Tap the Trigger
  • Bait and Switch
Pro Memoria

Pro Memoria

Pro Memoria God Rolls

In the first column, Pro Memoria can roll with Envious Assassin and Reconstruction, two of the strongest auto-reload perks in the game. Envious has the potential to reward the player with a larger amount of overflowed rounds, whereas Reconstruction is a lot more passive and consistent. If utility is more your speed, Attrition Orbs is an interesting and enticing pick of a Machine Gun whereas Hatchling is always a nice addition to any Strand weapon.

Then, if we take a look at the second column, Pro Memoria has access to three damage-enhancing options: Target Lock, Frenzy, or Bait and Switch. All three are still pretty great but the two we want to highlight are Frenzy and Bait and Switch. Frenzy is a big passive damage bonus which triggers after being in combat for more than 15 seconds, something easily achieved in most areas of Destiny 2’s sandbox. Meanwhile, Bait and Switch pairs beautifully with Envious Assassin to give you a high-powered weapon to quick-swap to which can dish out a ton of damage and seemingly never run out of ammo.

If Pro Memoria has intrigued you and you’re looking to give it a spin, try using one of the following God Rolls:

  • Envious Assassin + Bait and Switch (Superb quick-swap weapon for any occasion)
  • Reconstruction + Frenzy (High ease of use roll with some nice added damage and ammo)
  • Hatchling + Dragonfly (Awards accurate players with explosions and carnage)

False Idols (Sword)

In an expansion that introduced Special Ammo Swords with the Exotic Ergo Sum, it can be easy to ignore or neglect False Idols, the new Solar Vortex frame. While it may be hard living under Ergo Sum’s shadow, False Idols does have some interesting options, especially for a Heavy Vortex Frame.

In column one, you can get the following perks on False Idols:

  • Strategist
  • Attrition Orbs
  • Wellspring
  • Unrelenting
  • Duelist’s Trance
  • Incandescent
  • Relentless Strikes

Then, in column two, False Idols can roll with the following:

  • Surrounded
  • Chain Reaction
  • Bait and Switch
  • Vorpal Weapon
  • Counterattack
  • Collective Action
  • One for All
False Idols Solar Sword

False Idols Solar Sword

False Idols God Rolls

In an age with Wolfpack Round Swords, False Idols may find its footing as a relatively strong Heavy option with good add clearing and boss-killing capabilities. In the first column, False Idols can roll the fan-favourite perk Incandescent (which is superb on a Sword for mowing through red bars) as well as Attrition Orbs, a very interesting perk to include on a Vortex Frame.

Meanwhile, in the second column, things get a bit more interesting. Chain Reaction makes a strange and wonderful combination with Incandescent, creating a true CQC explosion monster. On the other hand, Bait and Switch is very interesting as it allows you to use False Idols as a boss-killing option, something which may appeal to those running Dungeons or Raids. Other excellent traits include Surrounded, which is very easy to trigger, as well as One for All, another easy to activate perks with a high degree of payoff.

False Idols shouldn’t be slept on and you should try and get your hands on one of the following God Rolls for it:

  • Incandescent + Chain Reaction (Explosions everywhere, very fun roll)
  • Attrition Orbs + Bait and Switch (Boss damage option with both utility and destruction)
  • Unrelenting + One for All (Mini-Lament with some healing and damage buffs)

Bold Endings (Hand Cannon)

Heavy-Burst Hand Cannons are a relatively new breed of weapon and The Final Shape has bought another one in the form of Bold Endings, the first Stasis Heavy Burst. As expected, Bold Endings has garnered a decent amount of attention thanks to its unique perk pool and shiny new archetype.

In column one, you can expect to see the following perks from Bold Endings:

  • Attrition Orbs
  • Strategist
  • Air Trigger
  • To the Pain
  • Headstone
  • Loose Change
  • Rapid Hit

Then, in column two, Bold Endings has access to the following:

  • Demolitionist
  • Desperate Measures
  • Dragonfly
  • Moving Target
  • Collective Action
  • Golden Tricorn
  • Eye of the Storm
Bold Endings Stasis Hand Cannon

Bold Endings Stasis Hand Cannon

Bold Endings God Rolls

The initial roll all players will get for Bold Endings when they complete Micah-10’s quest line is Headstone and Dragonfly, one of the most intriguing rolls you can get on the weapon. While the Dragonfly shot won’t break the Stasis Crystal formed by Headstone, it will weaken it, setting you up for some nice combos, especially for those who can take advantage of Shatter on Stasis or Prismatic classes.

In terms of other perks, column one has Rapid Hit as the best-in-slot option for PvP and Loose Change as a viable path if you want to invest a lot into Stasis and Slow. Meanwhile, in column two, Bold Endings can get Eye of the Storm or Moving Target for PvP, and Demolitionist as both a nice instant reload and some good synergy with Glacial or Duskfield Grenades.

Here are the Bold Endings God Rolls you may want to consider picking up if you plan to take this Hand Cannon into either PvP or PvE:

  • Headstone + Dragonfly (Fun and creative curated roll with nice Stasis synergy)
  • Loose Change + Demolitionist (Great primary weapon for a Slow and Stasis Crystal heavy build)
  • Rapid Hit + Eye of the Storm / Moving Target (Crucible and PvP-focused rolls)

Axial Lacuna (Fusion Rifle)

The last Pale Heart weapon introduced in Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the Axial Lacuna Solar Fusion Rifle. This is another weapon which feels pretty slept on but, like Someday, there are some interesting combinations which may interest some Guardians.

In column one, Axial Lacuna can roll with the following traits:

  • Eye of the Storm
  • Demolitionist
  • Cornered
  • Keep Away
  • Reconstruction
  • Threat Detector
  • Firmly Planted

Then, in column two, expect to see these perks:

  • Desperate Measures
  • Vorpal Weapon
  • Frenzy
  • Surrounded
  • Kickstart
  • Controlled Burst
  • Incandescent
Axial Lacuna Solar Fusion Rifle

Axial Lacuna God Rolls

Last season, the Scatter Signal became one of the best Special weapons to take into endgame content because it could roll with Envious Assassin and Controlled Burst, allowing it to deal sustained damage with a lot of ammo. Well, Axial Lacuna can roll something very similar with Reconstruction and Controlled Burst, allowing it to fulfil a similar role in the Energy slot.

Other perks to look out for on the Axial Lacuna include Incandescent and Vorpal Weapon in the second column, two great all-around options which work well in basically any build. Then, in the first column, Eye of the Storm is an interesting pick for PvP, as if Keep Away.

God Rolls to look out for on the Axial Lacuna include:

  • Reconstruction + Controlled Burst (Great boss and damage options)
  • Demolitionist + Incandescent (Solid option for a Solar or elemental-heavy build)

Those were all of the God Rolls for the new Pale Heart weapons in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
