Destiny 2 | All Aquarium Plant Locations in Deep Dive (Aquarium Vivarium Triumph Guide)

Fishing has been making waves since its introduction into Destiny 2 with Season of the Deep. It’s an extremely chill change of pace where you can simply relax and kick back with your mates after squashing some Hive Gods. What’s even better is that the H.E.L.M. has been outfitted with its very own aquarium where you can watch the fish you catch swim about. There are some trinkets from some previous seasons scattered about the tank and you can find more decorations as part of your journey through the Season of the Deep. The main way that you’ll be collecting new decorations is through the new seasonal activity, Deep Dive.

Hidden in the depths of Titan’s methane ocean are six alien plants which you can excavate and take back to your aquarium. They will provide some much need colour and life to the fish tank and finding them will even net you an Exotic Ghost Shell and triumph. The plants aren’t too hard to find and, now that all three depth levels have been unlocked for Deep Dive, you can add them all to your collection by following this easy guide.

Here’s where to find all 6 of the Deep Dive plants for the aquarium in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep.

All Deep Dive Plant Locations

Twilight Plant

The first two plants are in the Twilight Depth, the shallowest area of the Deep Dive activity. Be careful as you go through as it is possible to easily miss the first collectible if you’re going too fast.

Traverse through the introductory water section until you begin to descend. Look around for a big yellow plant resting next to a narrow passageway. If you take this passage to the other end, you’ll drop deeper down into the depths: instead, about halfway down the passage go right. This will take you into a separate area.

Follow it through and the first plant, the Twilight Plant, will be waiting for you on the other side. It’s located next to a gap containing a Hive Statue and looks similar to the strange yellow plant you followed to get here.

Twilight Flora

The Twilight Flora can be found right before you exit the Twilight underwater section and into the main Twilight encounter. From the first plant, continue sinking deeper and deeper until you come across the final area.

To exit the underwater section of the Twilight depths, you pass into a large open bit of water before entering a locked-off building. On the path to that exit door, you should spy a large, strange hexagonal plant. This is the second plant you need to obtain, the Twilight Flora.

Midnight Plant

The next two plants are located in the Midnight depth. The first Midnight plant can be found near to where you enter the underwater section.

This time, to go deeper you’ll drop down a large hole with a fan at the bottom. Before leaping down to your doom (as Guardians are wont to do) look around the room and you should notice an open hatch on the opposite side of where you entered. Wander over to it and you’ll find that it leads to another new path to traverse: just be sure to grab the air bubble next to the hatch before you make your way down.

Continue making your way down the confined vents and narrow passages until you come across an open door leading back to the main path. To the right side of that door are a group of strange barnacle-like clusters. This is the third plant for your collection in Destiny 2, the Midnight Plant.

Midnight Flora

Like with the first bit of flora, the Midnight Flora is near the end of the Midnight section. Continue following the golden path until you drop down into an area full of whispy blue-toned plants and foliage: the plant you’re looking for should be behind a tall pillar of rock.

The bright fluorescent orange of the Midnight Flora should stand out against the cool tones of everything else in this part of the Deep Dive. It will even be accompanied by a faint glow to make it stand out even more in the briny deep. Waltz on over, interact with it and the Midnight Flora will join your collection back in the H.E.L.M.

Abyss Plant

The final two plants are found in the Abyss Depth water section. The first one can be found almost as soon as you enter the water.

After selecting your boon from Ahsa, you can drop down one of two columns to venture deeper into the mission. Either one is fine but if you go down the left corridor and drop down the hole at the bottom, the Abyss Plant is essentially right in front of you. On the other hand, if you go down the right path, turn around when you reach the floor.

In both cases, you should be able to spy the faint glow of the Abyss Plant on a sloped bit of the wall. Simply walk on over and the plant is yours to claim.

The final plant is further into the Abyss zone. You’ll drop down into several areas full of plants, the colours of which slowly morph from blues to reds. Eventually, you’ll drop down to the final location completely bathed in red light.

This one can be a bit harder to see thanks to the red colouration of the area, but you should be able to spy another glowing spot in the soil. Go on over to find the last plant, the Abyss Flora, in Destiny 2

Aquarium Vivarium Triumph Rewards

Find all 6 Plants will award you Siochan’s Scuba Exotic Ghost Shell. This Shell contains some very interesting lore about Commander Sloane and Ahsa’s first meeting. You’ll also earn the Aquarium Vivarium Triumph under the Season of the Deep classification.

Most important to most players (especially to those Guardians who enjoy a spot of fishing) is that the plants you collected will appear in the H.E.L.M Aquarium. They’ll join the various other bits of memorabilia and mementoes from past Destiny adventures, giving your fish some nice sights as they swim about the fish tank.

That was where to find all 6 plants for your aquarium in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep.
