Where to Find Man in Stone Quest in Black Myth Wukong

After advancing through Chapter 2 by defeating a few bosses, you will unlock the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine in Fright Cliff. From this shrine, turn slightly to the left and follow the path that is covered with a wooden platform.

Continue straight without making any turns until you encounter a small stone bridge with an enemy stationed at the far end. Descend the slope and take a left to follow the path beneath the bridge, where you will discover the Man in Stone.

Speak to him, and he will explain that he has been trapped by a curse. He will mention some nearby caves where you can find a way to break the curse and free him. Once you’ve completed the conversation, exit the path and turn right to locate the Squall Hideout Shrine.

How to Complete Man in Stone Quest 

To complete the Man in Stone quest, players must first obtain the Stone Essence by defeating the Mother of Stones. After securing the Stone Essence, you will face another boss fight against the Man in Stone.

After finding the Squall Hideout Shrine, enter it and look to the left-hand wall. You’ll see a staircase with blue fire braziers. Go up those stairs to proceed.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll encounter a massive creature called the Mother of Stones, covered in glowing blue crystals. To initiate the boss fight, you need to attack the crystals first then the Mother of Stones will reveal herself.

While the Mother of Stones herself is just a Stationary rock, she will summon minions to assist her. Focus on defeating these minions while also dealing damage to the Mother of Stones. Additionally, if you are doing the related side quest, you can find the Buddha’s eyeball on the ledge outside, next to the creature.

Stone Essence

Once you have defeated the Mother of Stones, you will receive the “Stone Essence.” Return to the Man in Stone and give it to him. This will free him from the curse he tricked you into this. So attack him to trigger another boss fight. Although his attacks are very damaging, he is relatively slow, so being agile will help you defeat him more easily.

Rewards After Completing the Quest

After defeating the Man in Stone, you will immediately receive the Rock Guai: Azure Dust Spell. This is a transformation ability in the game that turns you into a Rock Guai, providing immunity to all negative status effects and allowing you to charge at enemies to deal damage. Once you acquire the Azure Dust Spell, your Man in Stone quest in Black Myth: Wukong will be successfully completed.
