Monkey Master – Sera Bounce List

While most gravitate towards wonky, inconsistent yet high-power ceiling Wong combo decks, we prefer to go down the route of consistency. This is because at the end of the day, retreating means losing cubes and we want to climb ladder and reach infinite. Enter Bounce, a list that is extremely versatile and has many winning plays. The deck list is as follows:

  • Nico Minoru (or Kitty Pryde)
  • The Hood (or Iceman, Spider-Ham)
  • Bast
  • Forge
  • Maximus (or Shang-Chi)
  • Grand Master
  • Mysterio
  • Angela (or The Collector)
  • Beast
  • Bishop
  • Hit-Monkey
  • Sera

The main aim of this deck is to benefit from your 1-costs multiple times by Beast-ing them back to your hand. You can then play their discounted versions on turn 6 alongside a huge Hit-Monkey. Sera furthers this discount and makes it so that you can take your opponents by surprise due to the sudden sheer amount of power dropped on a single turn. Including Maximus in this deck is not essential especially if you haven’t mastered piloting the list. This is because you can unfortunately Bast him, lowering his power. In that case, Shang-Chi is a great replacement for Maximus.

In fact, including Shang-Chi is arguably better as you can play him early on to get rid of that Venom (for example) and then play Grand Master. This moves Shang-Chi mid and triggers his ability again, potentially destroying Knull or Death. There are a lot of creative ways to utilize Grand Master’s effect but the most powerful one in this deck is to re-trigger the On Reveal ability of Hit-Monkey, resulting in mega-huge power! Only tip is to be careful when planning out your plays as Grand Master can trigger Beast’s ability and empty out your middle lane.

Daggerfall – Move List

A deck that has gotten some love recently is Move. This is mainly due to the Dagger buff that was implemented in the previous OTA patch update. As a result, it could be a great idea to play Grand Master in Move, where there are a lot of valuable On Reveal cards. Instead of trying to set up a combo-centric list that lacks consistency, why not simply play a fun Move deck that is now even more reliable? Here is the list:

  • Human Torch
  • Ghost-Spider
  • Echo (or Silk, Jeff, Caiera, Wave)
  • Iron Fist
  • Kraven
  • Dagger
  • Grand Master
  • Cloak
  • Doctor Strange
  • Vulture
  • Miles Morales (or Spider-Man, Juggernaut, Hercules)
  • Heimdall

A problem move faces is the sheer difficulty of piloting the deck list. On top of that, getting your Human Torch to nutty numbers is easy, but a single Killmonger or Shang-Chi can ruin your dreams. As a result, this list is a bit more unpredictable than traditional Move as Grand Master’s ability can be used to re-trigger cards such as Cloak, Iron Fist, and Heimdall. Wave is a great addition as she allows you to play both Heimdall and Grand Master on turn 6, spawning the possibility that Heimdall triggers twice!

Echo is not necessary for this deck, however, she is mainly there to prevent Cosmo from ruining the day. However, her uses are not limited to just that. She is also capable of shutting down opponents’ Ms. Marvel as well. Replacements for Echo include Silk, Jeff, Juggernaut, and even Hercules. At the end of the day, it’s all down to how you play Move. You could also include Caiera for additional protection or Hulk Buster & Multiple Man for more power across the board.

Mighty Master – Janejaw Thor List

This brew was inspired by content creator Drewberry and focuses on utilizing the Asgardians as best as possible. This includes playing a version of Janejaw that focuses on On Reveals such as Mjolnir and Doctor Doom rather than cheating out Infinaut and Giganto. However, you are welcome to customize the list as you wish. This is the deck:

  • Wasp
  • Zabu
  • Grand Master
  • Lockjaw
  • Thor
  • Storm
  • Beta Ray Bill (or Jubilee, Absorbing Man)
  • Iron Lad
  • Wong
  • Jane Foster
  • Doctor Doom
  • Odin

The premise is simple, play Storm followed by Thor in a lane, then win another lane using Beta Ray Bill. Of course, Beta Ray Bill drops next week so look to include Jubilee until then. If you want, you could even run a more traditional Janejaw deck list with Infinaut. In fact, you could lean fully into the Discard aspect of things and set up a Wong, Mystique, Gambit, Grand Master type of list instead. Either way, this list definitely makes the most out of the Asgardians and will keep your opponents on their toes.

Throwing Wasp into Lockjaw is always beneficial as you are 100% of the time going to get a better card back. Re-triggering Mjolnir and/or Stormbreaker with Wong and Grand Master is especially overpowered. Make sure you keep an eye out on locations such as Sinister London and Bar Sinister as this deck benefits heavily from them. Kamar Taj is also a great location that synergizes well with what this deck wants to do. Finally, you could include Echo as protection from Cosmo if that Golden Retriever is causing you problems.

As new cards are released and players experiment more, new brews will arise especially some crazy combo decks, so stay on the lookout! That being said, these are the best Grand Master decks in Marvel Snap.
