Hulk’s wife and the mother of Skaar ‘Caiera’ has finally landed in Marvel Snap and this anticipated card is going to impact the meta in more than one way. She is a 3-cost, 4-power card with the ability: Ongoing: your 1 and 6-cost cards can’t be destroyed. Immediately, one can identify that this card acts as defensive tech against cards such as Killmonger and Shang-Chi. However, there are also locational advantages as you can safely play your 1 and 6-cost cards into Altar of Death, Death’s Domain, Rickety Bridge, and more. Let’s take a look at key synergies as we dissect the best Caiera decks in Marvel Snap.

Welcome to the Zoo – Kazar List
Ah, the nostalgia. Zoo is a deck that most players would have experimented with way back in Pools 1 and 2. Unfortunately, that archetype immediately died out due to Killmonger’s existence. Nevertheless, people tried to get armor to work but to no avail. Luckily for us, Caiera offers the perfect amount of tech and protection needed to successfully pilot a Kazar deck. The list is as follows:
- Forge (or Antman)
- Nico Minoru
- Spider-Ham (or Iceman)
- Nebula (or Martyr)
- Bast (or Sunspot)
- Kitty Pryde
- Jeff (or Nightcrawler, Iron Man, Silk)
- Mystique (or Onslaught, Thanos, Ultron)
- Shanna the She-Devil
- Ka-Zar
- Blue Marvel
The first thing you’ll notice about this deck is the sheer amount of replacements available. Theoretically, you can simply plug in your favorite 1-cost drops and have similar success. However, we’ve tried to assemble the best 1-drops that will truly elevate your gameplay. You could always include Sunspot and Infinaut as a package, yet you won’t be skipping a lot of turns due to this deck being able to play on curve easily. Therefore, cards such as Nebula work better as a scaling threat.
Your ideal line of play should be Caiera on 3, Kazar on 4, Blue Marvel on 5, and Mystique and Shanna on 6. Regardless, you’ll find that most of the time your deck fares pretty well against most match-ups. If you are a more experienced player and want a more competitive version of the deck, aim to include a bounce package. This includes adding cards such as Falcon, Beast, The Hood, and more. Another interesting line of play would be running a Thanos list with Blob, protecting Blob, Thanos, and the stones.
Protected Every Day and Knight – Black Knight List
Black Knight has recently received a buff in that its Ebony Blade cannot be destroyed or have its power reduced. However, players still managed to counter the deck by using their Killmonger on your Black Knight before you could discard your intended card. This deck not only fixes that issue but also provides great ways to win even if you haven’t drawn Black Knight. This is the deck list:
- Blade
- Black Knight
- Jeff (or Sunspot)
- Zabu
- Lady Sif
- Caiera
- Dracula (or Black Cat)
- Ghost Rider
- Ms Marvel
- The Infinaut
- Magneto
- Giganto
Zabu is an excellent fit in this deck as he discounts Dracula, Ghost Rider, Ms Marvel, and most importantly, the Ebony Blade. A powerful turn 6 play would be Ebony Blade and Ms Marvel together, catching your opponent off guard with extremely high power. Jeff is a replaceable slot that Sunspot can easily take the place of. Not only will he be protected by Caiera, but if you fail to draw Black Knight, you could always play Ms Marvel on 4, skip 5, and play Infinaut, all while Sunspot gains power.
You could also play traditional discard and achieve similar results. However, the best alternative deck is lockjaw discard as it is capable of cheating out high-powered cards early and protecting them using Caiera. Check out the best Skaar decks in Marvel Snap guide for more information on said deck! If you’re having trouble keeping track of each play line then maybe consider adding Black Cat for an automatic discard that can help your Ebony Blade. Regardless, this deck is competitive and most importantly, fun.
Hi Evo, How Are You? – High Evolutionary List
High Evolutionary decks saw a resurgence once Luke Cage got nerfed and even before that with their Magik, Leech combo. This deck utilizes an older version of ‘Shenaut’ that was popularized by content creator Molt and included Quinjet, Moon Girl, and Dracula. By combining the Moon Girl package with a High Evolutionary deck you get a competitive list that can beat almost anything in its way. This is the deck list:
- Sunspot
- Nebula (or Misty Knight)
- Magik
- Cyclopes
- Caiera
- Moon Girl
- High Evolutionary
- Devil Dinosaur
- Skaar (The Thing, Shocker, Leech, Abomination)
- She-Hulk
- Hulk
- The Infinaut
This deck might seem a bit top-heavy at first but upon further inspection on will notice Skaar. Skaa is usually a 4/11 or even 2/11 at times, making the deck less clunky. Either way, Magik exists to help our curve and even if we play off curve we’ve got Sunspot, Hulk, and Cyclops benefiting from this. Moon Girl can clone your She-Hulks allowing you to play multiple alongside Hulk, Infinaut, or Skaar. Furthermore, she boosts Devil Dinosaur’s power, which as a result discounts Skaar.
In terms of replacements, if you do not have Skaar then replacing him with Shocker, Abomination, Leech, or even Jeff would be beneficial. Nebula has the potential to scale immensely, allowing for Skaar to be discounted further. However, if you do not have Nebula you could always opt to use Misty Knight instead. This deck is extremely competitive and now can be piloted in a stress-free manner as most draws are useful and your cards cannot be destroyed. High Evolutionary is also in the same Spotlight Cache week as Caiera so you can try and pull both. If you fail to do so, both are Series 5 cards that cost 6000 Collector’s Tokens.
That being said, these were the absolute best Caiera decks in Marvel Snap.
