The immovable giant that goes by the name of Blob has finally made his way into Marvel Snap as December’s second card release. He is a 6-cost, 4-power card with the ability: On Reveal: Merge your deck into this. (And gain its total Power) Ongoing: Can’t be moved. Immediately, one can notice that this card is the perfect Darkhawk counter as it gets rid of your deck completely. Not only that but you’re also left with a gargantuan card that possesses immense power. Let’s take a look at key synergies by dissecting the best Blob decks in Marvel Snap.

Below is the official Marvel Snap December season pass reveal trailer:
Need a Hand? – Dino Thanos List
One obvious way to increase your deck size is by playing Thanos as he shuffles 6 infinity stones in your deck. Yet, the positives don’t end there. By adding the stones to your deck, you’re decreasing the likelihood of drawing specific cards, making it so that your deck will generally be fully packed. Let’s take a look at the deck list and then see how to pilot it.
- Wasp
- Jeff (or Armor)
- Sentinel (or Mirage)
- Psylocke
- Lockjaw (or Jean Grey, Negasonic, Shadow King)
- Moon Girl
- Professor X (or Vision)
- Devil Dinosaur
- Magneto (or Death)
- Thanos
- Blob
- Infinaut
This deck focuses on keeping your hand full to keep your deck heavy. Naturally, we’ve included Devil Dinosaur as he scales in power depending on how full your hand is. Furthermore, we’ve got Moon Girl and Sentinel as tools to further help Devil Dinosaur’s growth. When things get rough, a lucky lockjaw play can definitely turn the game around. Finally, we’ve included Professor X as the logic here is to lockdown one location early using Psylocke/Time Stone on turn 3, and Professor X on turn 4. Simply win one other lane using Dino, Blob, or Magneto and you should be fine!
In terms of replacements, Vision is a great option instead of Professor X as you can move him out of Lockjaw. In this case, Jeff isn’t as necessary anymore and could be replaced with a few tech options such as Armor to protect your Blob and Dino. Another variation of this deck could involve a Loki deck, Loki serving as a backup option if you do not draw Blob and your hand is full of junk.
Copy That – Taskmaster List
What if we told you that you could theoretically win a game simply by playing three cards? In practice, it is a bit more complicated than just that. However, this deck has some incredibly strong lines of play that could net you a lot of cubes. On top of that, it is a list that is full of replacement options, allowing you to customize it to your playstyle. Here is the deck list:
- Nebula (or Sunspot)
- Psylocke (or Invisible Woman, Electro)
- Armor
- Wave
- Shuri
- Typhoid Mary
- Taskmaster
- Red Skull
- Magneto (or Death, Destroyer)
- Infinaut
- Blob
- Doctor Doom (or Vision)
If you play Wave, Blob, then Taskmaster in that specific order, you are guaranteed to rack up insane amounts of power that can only be stopped by Cosmo, Shadow King, or Shang-Chi. Luckily for you, including Armor eliminates the threat of Shang-Chi and keeps your cards protected. This deck also has other win conditions if you do not draw Blob. One of which includes Shuri into Red Skull into Taskmaster. On the other hand, you could Wave, Magneto, Red Skull, then Doom.
In terms of replacements, Nebula can easily be swapped out for Sunspot or any 1-cost drop of your choosing. Psylocke can also be substituted out for Invisible Woman in an attempt to play Taskmaster behind her and then Blob on 6. An easier inclusion would be to simply play Electro and get Blob out early. All in all, this variation of the Shuri Taskmaster deck list seems solid and incredibly powerful.
It’s One Hela of a Gamble – Hela Discard List
Hela decks are notorious for being incredibly powerful if played right. Unfortunately, sometimes the combo is a bit difficult to pull off, especially now with Cosmo rising due to Silver Surfer being popular again. On top of that, Alioth now destroys unrevealed cards which include the Modok/Hela that reside underneath Invisible Woman. But alas, somehow Hela Discard survives this all and still stands strong. The deck list is as follows:
- Nebula (or Blade)
- Morbius
- Invisible Woman
- Lady Sif
- Dracula
- Ghost Rider
- MODOK (or Hellcow)
- Magneto (or Apocalypse)
- Giganto
- Infinaut
- Blob
- Hela
Regardless of your personal opinion regarding Discard, it remains one of the most consistently powerful decks in Marvel Snap. In this variation of the list, Blob and Hela complement each other, both acting as backup options for one another. In practice, the deck plays out like a normal Hela deck, placing down your early cards then followed by MODOK into Hela. If both MODOK and Hela are in your hand, then play them underneath Invisible Woman but be wary of Alioth. Alternatively, you could refrain from playing MODOK entirely and instead add Hellcow. Either way, there aren’t a lot of tools for you to work with so be smart about your plays!
Another interaction that can be incredibly powerful is playing Lady Sif into Ghost Rider. This basically guarantees that you’ll discard a high-powered card and bring it back later. Some players might want to include a Tribunal package yet it seems unwise as Iron Man has 0-power thus diminishing your Blob’s maximum power output. Overall, you can swap out a few discard cards here and there and see what works best for your play style.
