Baldur's Gate 3 | All Dribbles the Clown Body Part Locations (Find Dribbles Quest Guide)

One of the best parts of Baldur’s Gate 3 is finding the many weird and wonderful detours you can take in your efforts to avoid the main story. There are tons of zany sidequests and activities that you can partake in, such as trying to stop Gale’s wizard cat from hunting down the innocent messenger pigeon population. One of the highlights has to be your Act 3 quest to find out the truth about Dribbles the Clown. What begins as a routine visit to the circus quickly becomes another death-defying fight when you fend off a gaggle of shape-shifting Doppelgangers who are pretending to be circus performers. At the end of this encounter, there is only one question on everyone’s lips: Where is the beloved Dribbles the Clown?

In truth, Dribbles has been the unfortunate victim of a face-stealing murder cult and has had his various body parts hidden throughout the city. With only a few clues to guide you, it’s now your party’s job to play bloody hide-and-seek and locate every piece of Dribbles you can find. Some of these body parts are hidden in very out-of-the-way locations but the reward for reuniting them all is well worth it, especially if you’re a Spellcaster. So, grab your wellies and get ready to head into some of Baldur’s Gates’s darkest areas in search of poor old Dribbles the Clown.

How to Start the BG3 Dribbles the Clown Quest

You can begin the Dribbles the Clown sidequest once you reach Baldur’s Gate in Act 3 of the main story. When you first arrive at Baldur’s Gate, you’ll enter through a place called Rivington which is where most refugees seeking shelter from the Absolute have gathered. The place is very hostile, with citizens everywhere discussing the tumultuous situation with the Steel Watch, the rising number of mouths to feed or other troubles surrounding the city.

Fortunately, there is a bright light in the darkness as a special circus known as the Circus of the Last Days has come to visit. Directly north of the Rivington Waypoint and opposite the Rivington general on the main road, you’ll find the Interplanar Circus, home to acts and performers from every realm and plane. By speaking to the man at the gate (and his Ghoul companion) you can blag your way inside via Intimidation, Deception, Persuasion or some other means of entry.

The Interplanar Circus

The Interplanar Circus

Once you get into the circus proper, there are tons of things to do and interesting NPCs to converse with. The main star of the show, though, is Dribbles the Clown who is performing at the opposite end of where you enter from.

If you attend his show, you’ll quickly learn that something is… off with Dribbles. He’ll call you to the stage and there’s this air of weirdness about him, right up until he reveals that he belongs with the Absolute. At this point, “Dribbles” and several other circus performers will shed their skin and reveal themselves to be Doppelgangers that you must take down in combat.

After you’ve dealt with Dribbles, the circus’ ringleader, a necromancer by the name of Lucretious, will ask for your help in finding out what happened to the real Dribbles the Clown. In truth, Dribbles is very dead and his body parts have been scattered all over Baldur’s Gate by a wicked and nefarious cult. As such, it is now your job to locate Dribbles’ missing pieces and bring them back to the circus so he can be… revived.

All Dribbles Body Part Locations in BG3

Dribbles’ Head Location

As arguably Dribbles’ most important body part, his severed head is the most difficult piece of him to locate. This is mainly because it involves into an endgame area, one you should only enter once you’re ready to undertake the main campaign and take the fight to Gortash, Orin and the Elder Brain.

To be more specific, your target is in the Temple of Bhaal, the seedy, bloody place of worship for the God of Murder. This area can be found in the Undercity, a web of complex tunnels and living quarters below the main streets of the Lower City. There are several ways into the Undercity, but the easiest methods are either through the Elfsong Tavern basement or the manhole cover next to the zombie beggar near the Basilisk Gate Waypoint.

You’ll want to keep exploring the Undercity until you stumble across the Undercity Waypoint. Right next to this waypoint is a locked stone door which will reveal the way to the Temple of Bhaal. You can open the door by either killing two members of the Tribunal’s Murder List, killing Lord Gortash or by simply shooting the hanging bodies nearby, with their blood opening the way forward.

Blood Opens the Way

Blood Opens the Way

A word of caution: be ready for a fight as soon as you enter the Temple of Bhaal. You’ll need to cross a set of ruins aptly named Manslaughter Bridge where several of Bhaal’s cultists will be waiting in ambush for you. In particular, one of these Cultists is a Ghost called the Farslayer of Bhaal Ghislev who will begin casting Bhaal’s Power Word Kill as a Ritual: this spell will hit every single person in your party, instantly killing them, if you cannot kill the caster in 5 turns.

If you manage to kill the Farslayer not only does the spell disappear, but the rest of Bhaal’s cultists do too as this whole ordeal is a test to make sure you’re worthy to stand before one of the Dead Three. As such, focus all of your attention on the Farslayer to get rid of him as soon as possible.

Bhaal's Farslayer

Bhaal’s Farslayer

With the Farslayer down, you begin your (not-so-peaceful) walk down to Bhaal’s Temple. You’ll know you’re in the right place once you see the monolithic stone temple in the distance, joined by the shrill retelling of Bhaal’s prophecy by some creepy stone statues. From here, you just need to make your way as far down as you can.

Once you begin descending the stairs to the walkway which leads to the main Temple of Bhaal walkway, keep an eye out for a stack of bodies near one of the talking statues. One of these bodies – specifically, Wilting Alex – is holding onto Dribbles’ severed head. As we said, this will likely be the last piece of Dribbles you find, so grab the Temple of Bhaal teleport point at the bottom of the stairs before you go.

Dribbles’ Arm Location

To locate Dribbles’ severed arm (as well as a few of his other body parts) you’ll need to head to Baldur’s Gate’s Lower City. Concerning the Clown’s Severed Arm, you’ll be heading to Peartree’s House which you’ll find squished between Sorcerous Sundries and Felogyr’s Fireworks.

When you arrive at Peartree’s, the house will be completely boarded up, barring your entry. Simply smash it down and you’ll reveal that Peartree is dead and missing one of his hands, a classic sign of a Bhaal Tribunal murder.

The real prize you need to look out for, though, is a hidden hatch which leads deeper below the house. Talking to Peartree’s corpse with Speak with Dead can help a bit here and you should pilfer his belongings until you find the Traveler’s Chest key. In actuality, this key unlocks a hatch below the Traveler’s Chest in the room.

Once you get below the house, another grisly murder scene awaits you. There are multiple bodies this time, accompanied by a gleeful letter written in blood. What we’re after, though, is the Clown’s Severed Arm which can be found on the largest body.

Dribbles’ Hand Location

The easiest of the Dribble’s body parts to find throughout Baldur’s Gate 3 is Dribbles’ severed hand. You won’t even have to leave the vicinity of the Interplanar Circus because the hand is sitting next to one of the circus’ other performers.

Along the outer perimeter of the circus, you’ll find several interesting creatures selling their wares or services: there’s everything from a sly Djinn to a mumbling Mummy, all looking to take your Gold. One of these merchants is a little red Kobold by the name of Popper. He’ll sell you several different treats but the main thing he’s hoarding is an inconspicuous severed hand on the table next to him

As you may have guessed, this is Dribbles’ hand. When attempting to retrieve the hand, Popper will stop you, proclaiming that the hand is his own special treat, one he found by Dribbles tent. You can either use Persuasion to talk Popper’s ludicrous 10,000 Gold asking price down to buy the hand, Deception to trick him into giving you the hand or simply threaten him. Whatever way you do it, you’ll be walking away with a Clown’s Severed Hand by the time you’re finished with the stingy Kobold.

Dribbles’ Torso Location

The Clown’s Severed Torso is one of the more involved pieces to locate in Baldur’s Gate 3, mainly because of its tangential link to another separate side quest. Down the road from the Interplanar Cirus is the Open Hand Temple. When you first visit, this Temple is closed to the general public and you’ll arrive just in time to hear the final ruling from an investigator from Celestia. There’s been a murder here lately – namely, of the Temple’s head priest – and the investigator is sure they’ve cracked the case.

Of course, things are never that simple and you can take up the job instead to find the truth. The reason why this matters in relation to the Dribbles the Clown mystery is that taking on the case will give you free rein of the property, allowing you to enter the cellar where the supposed murder took place without suspicious or prying eyes. You’ll find the cellar entrance through the right door at the back half of the temple.

One Hand Temple

One Hand Temple

At first glance, the cellar is quite average and doesn’t have much going on (aside from the copious amounts of blood on the floor). That’s because the main underground temple room contains a hidden entrance which leads out of the Temple and into the wilds surrounding Baldur’s Gate: an area you need to get to to find Dribbles’ poor torso.

To open the secret entrance out of the Temple grounds, wander around the walls until one of your characters makes a successful Perception Check on the strange stone crests. These crests are actually covering up two buttons, one on each wall, which will open a hidden path once pressed.

Hidden Entrance from the Temple

Hidden Entrance from the Temple

This path leads to quite a scene. You’ll stumble across three Doppelgangers arguing over a field of bodies – bodies that they have displayed in a very deliberate manner – which you need to kill before proceeding. This fight isn’t too difficult and you should be able to get through it very quickly.

One of the Doppelganger’s victims will be holding onto the Clown’s Severed Torso, as well as a poem written in blood. If you’re still looking to solve the One Hand Temple murders, try using Speak with Dead on one of the Doppelgangers for more hints on what to do next.

Dribbles Pelvis Location

The next body part on our list is Dribbles’ Pelvis. Once again, you’ll be heading to the Lower City for this body part.

Start by travelling to the Basilisk Gate Waypoint, which is where most players will first enter the Lower City. Then, make your north through the nearby alley which sits between the Basilisk Gate Barracks and the Stormshore Tabernacle: You’ll know you’re going the right way when you pass the weird zombie beggar who will let you kill him repeatedly for some change. At the end of that alley is a house with a blue mailbox.

Taking a peek inside the mailbox reveals some very distressing letters to the occupant. They all revolve around the Bhaal Cult and how whoever lived here was investigating them alongside a deep-cover agent within the Tribunal. That all seemingly went very wrong, though, as the penultimate letter they received simply has “I’ve found you” written in blood.

Lockpick the door and you’ll find yet another display of torture inside this abandoned house. Get in, grab the Clown’s Severed Pelvis from the poor sap on the floor and then get out while you still can.

Dribbles' Severed Pelvis

Dribbles’ Leg Location

Our penultimate body part is one of Dribbles’ legs. For this piece, you’ll need to go to Lavernica’s House which is directly next to Bloomridge Park. Like with the last body part, you’ll need to sneakily lockpick the door to get it open.

What you find inside will be… strange. There are two dead dwarfs on the floor, surrounded by about a dozen or so dead spiders. None of the bodies has anything particular of note on them, forcing you down deeper through a hatch in the floor.

Things, somehow, get worse when you reach the basement. The place has been transformed into a Bhaal sacrificial circle. Dozens of bodies litter the floor, all stripped of their goods and positioned in some sick sort of art display.

At the centre of a large open cavern is an occult circle drawn in blood with a body in the middle. This body is holding onto the Clown’s Severed Leg.

Dribbles’ Foot Location

Finally, we have the final missing piece of Dribbles the Clown in Baldur’s Gate 3, his severed foot. We’ll be staying in the Lower City as we make our way to another house, Rainforest’s Home to be more specific. This house is right next to the Beehive General Goods store, which is west of Sorcerous Sundries.

Pop open the locked door, step inside and head up to the second floor to find our next Tribunal victim.

Like with most of Dribbles’ other body parts, you’ll need to head underground via a hatch in Rainforest’s house to find the last piece. Once you arrive at the bottom, you’ll see two dead bodies – likely Rainforest’s allies in investigating the strange dealings with Candulhallow’s Tombstones – displayed before an altar.

Investigate both bodies to find the final piece of Dribbles littered among them. With the Clown’s Severed Foot in your inventory, you can return to the Circus and complete your quest.

With all of Dribbles reunited Exodia style, Interplanar Circus ringleader Lucretious will be most pleased to have him back. For your troubles, you’ll be awarded the Spellmight Gloves.

When equipped with the Spellmight Gloves, the wearer gains access to an additional toggleable passive ability which allows them to take a -5 penalty to any Spell Attack Roll in return for 1d8 additional damage. For certain spellcasters who rely heavily on Cantrips, this is especially useful for making those spells hit way harder, especially combined with other effects and gear bonuses.
