Astro Bot | All Crash Site Bot Trophies and How to Unlock Them

Learn how to unlock all six Crash Site character Bot trophies - including Thick As Thieves, Deep-Pocket Dragon, and KO! - with this quick and easy-to-follow guide for Astro Bot. Team Asobi's excellent 3D platformer pays homage to so many iconic franchises and the faces of some of those series are a required part for several trophies.

Astro Bot | All Crash Site Bot Trophies and How to Unlock ThemOne of Astro Bot’s most appealing qualities is how much it respects and celebrates PlayStation’s vast history. From the stars of Sony’s latest PS4 or PS5 releases to the ever-enduring mascots of old, Bots of all shapes and sizes can be reduced throughout the various galaxies and taken back to the Crash Site. Team ASOBI have even given most of the character Bots their own specific items, all of which have their own special animations which harken back even further to the franchises they originated from.

However, that’s not all these Bots have to give. There are several trophies you can unlock which require you to perform specific actions with certain Bots around the Crash Site. Some of these trophies are harder to figure out than others but they make up a decent chunk of the overall trophy list. Fortunately, we’re here to help you unlock all six of them, along with all the extra information about where to find these mysterious Bots.

Here’s how to complete all six Bot-specific trophies in the Crash Site in Astro Bot.

In total, there are six character Bot-specific trophies in the Crash Site in Astro Bot

  • Thick As Thieves
  • Thaw, God of Thunder!
  • Royally Stuck
  • Let’s Twist Again!
  • Deep-Pocket Dragon
  • KO!

In addition, it is worth noting that some, if not all, of the following trophies will require you to have obtained both the associated Bot as well as their specific prize from the Gatcha Lab. Each pull in the Gatcha Lab costs 100 Coins and it is completely random whether you get a new costume, a new Dual Speeder colour, or a new prize for your fellow Bots. You can only obtain items for Bots you’ve already rescued, though, which does narrow things down a tad.

You can check whether or not you have a Bot’s associated item in one of two ways. First, you can walk up to the Bot in person at the Crash Site: if they have a blue ring around them or are visibly interacting with something, you have what you need. Otherwise, hit the Memory Reader at the front of the PS5 Mothership and that will show you a full list of all your rescued Bots. If the Bots have a small PlayStation symbol under their icon, you have their prize unlocked.

Thick As Thieves Trophy Guide

The first trophy on our list is Thick as Thieves, which you’ll obtain for taking a photo of two legendary explorers. The two legendary explorers in question are Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series and Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, two PlayStation mascots from across the ages.

There are three main components to this trophy. Firstly, you must unlock the camera from the Safari Zone, which is the fourth area you’ll unlock with Jigsaw Puzzle pieces. Secondly, you’ll need to, of course, find the Nathan Drake Bot and the Lara Croft Bot; the former is a mandatory unlock at the end of Serpent Starway, whereas the latter can be found within Camo Cosmo’s first level, Hieroglitch Pyramid. Lastly, the easiest way to get this trophy done is to make sure both Nate and Lara have their associated prizes from the Gatcha Lab.

Once everything’s ready, head over to where Nate is chilling on the sofa in the Uncharted section of the Crash Site. If you have Lara’s prize unlocked, she’ll be running laps around the PS5 Mothership as a dinosaur chases her. At this point, wait for Lara to get close to Nate, open the camera, and snap a picture of the two in the same frame. Do this and the Thick as Thieves Achievement will pop.

Thaw, God of Thunder! Trophy Guide

The next trophy we’re going to complete in Astro Bot is Thaw, God of Thunder! As you can assume, this punny trophy is related to God of War: Ragnarok and you’ll get it for freezing a God of Thunder solid.

The two important Bots in question here are Kratos and Thor, the former of which is unmissable as you progress through the main story and the latter is found within the God of War-themed Bot of War level. Additionally, you may need to at least get Kratos’ prize if you want to see this trophy ticked off.

Whenever you punch Kratos as Astro, Kratos will fling his Leviathan Axe toward you, freezing you solidly in an ice cube for a moment or two. To get this trophy, you need to hit Kratos and then quickly stand behind Thor as the God of War is about to throw his axe. Do it correctly and the two gods will clash once again, giving you a little light show as well as the trophy Thaw, God of Thunder!

Royally Stuck Trophy Guide

Royally Stuck is the third Crash Site trophy on our list and it’s awarded for getting a little too close to a certain sticky sphere in the Crash Site. The Bot involved with this trophy is the Prince, the lead character of the Katamari Damacy series.

The Prince can be found in the second major level in the Tentacle System, Downsize Surprise. He’s the fifth Bot you’ll stumble across in the level and one of two character Bots you’ll encounter within.

Of course, the Prince is nothing without his Katamari and to even think about earning this trophy, you’ll need to get it from the Gatcha Labs. Once the Prince has been reunited with his classic sticky ball, find him in the Crash Site, hit him, and then walk directly into his path. Just like in the Katamari games, poor little Astro will adhere to the ball, earning you the Royally Stuck trophy.

Let’s Twist Again! Trophy Guide

Next up is Let’s Twist Again! This trophy is awarded to you for busting a move with an iconic marsupial at the Crash Site and what critter is more iconic than the face of PS1-era platformers, Crash Bandicoot?

You’ll find Crash in the second level of Astro Bot’s first galaxy, Gorilla Galaxy. To be more specific, he’s the third Bot you’ll run across in Az-Tech Trail and you can rescue him after breaking a crate full of wumpa fruit.

This time, the objective is pretty simple: find Crash and dance with him. Like with many of the other trophies on this list, you may need to pick up Crash’s related prize from the Gatcha Lab – which is actually Aku-Aku – before you can unlock Let’s Twist Again! Either way, all you need to do is find Crash in the Crash Site and then hold down on the D-Pad while standing next to him. If you do it right, you’ll start performing Crash’s signature victory dance along with the famed marsupial, earning you your next trophy.

Deep-Pocket Dragon Trophy Guide

Deep-Pocket Dragon is up next and it’s awarded for making a tough guy drop all of his items at the Crash Site. There are a lot of tough guys around the Crash Site – such as Death Stranding’s Sam Bridges, who is carrying a lot of items – but your target is none other than Kiriyu Kazuma of Yakuza fame.

The Kiriyu Bot can be rescued from the Boing! Bonanza level in Camo Cosmo, the fourth major galaxy in Astro Bot. This is one of the special Square planets, which are some of the game’s trickier challenges. Persevere, though, and you’ll be able to bring the Dragon of Dojima back to the Crash Site. His associated prize is the

Once you unlock Kiriyu’s prize from the Gatcha Lab, something interesting will happen each time you hit him. Instead of falling over, the Dragon will remain standing while his various personal effects go flying out of his pockets. All you need to do is keep hitting him until you have seen everything Kiriyu’s magical pockets have to offer, at which point the Deep-Pocket Dragon trophy will pop.

KO! Trophy Guide

The final character Bot-specific trophy for Astro Bot’s Crash Site is the punchy KO! This game pays tribute to a whole smorgasbord of classic fighting game characters and, for this trophy to pop, you’ll need to pick a fight with two street fighting warriors in the Crash Site. If the pun didn’t give it away, you’ll need to get on Ken and Ryu’s nerves for this trophy to pop.

The Street Fighter duo can be rescued from the first two Retro Rampage levels, a secret set of missions which you must unlock by ramming into glowing meteors in each galaxy. Ryu can be found at the end of Retro Rampage 1 – which is located in the Gorilla Galaxy – whereas Ken is at Retro Rampage 2 – which is located in the Tentacle System.

With the old rivals reunited at the Crash Site, go and find them at the back of the Mothership. Fortunately, Ryu and Ken don’t need any prizes to get back to their old habits and you should find the two squaring off with one another. To get the KO! trophy, you need to hit both of them and then be hit by both of them subsequent attacks one after another. The timing is a little tricky but just stand between the pair of fighters and keep whacking them until the trophy pops.
