Thoroughly Search for and Scan Blueprint Fragments Around Wrecks
Nothing (except perhaps water and food) is more important to your survival in Subnautica than blueprint fragments for building more advanced gear, modules, and vehicles. The more fragments you scan, the more blueprints you’ll acquire for crafting new items, base modules, and upgrades. Thus, blueprints are crucial for escaping Planet 4546B.
The vast majority of blueprints are in and around the numerous Aurora wreck debris you’ll find throughout Planet 4546B. So, make sure you thoroughly search for blueprints in wreckage areas. Always look through the small crate boxes that often include fragments. Scan everything that looks like a fragment.
Build a Chair to Sit on
Chairs aren’t merely decorative furnishings for seabases. A chair is rather useful in survival mode since sitting in one will stop your food and water meters from depleting. So, it’s a good idea to add a chair to your seabase. Then you can sit in that chair and look through your PDA’s blueprint, inventory, and databank tabs without hunger and hydration meters depleting.

Thoroughly Read Through Your PDA’s Databank
Your PDA Databank contains a treasure trove of info obtained from data downloads, scanning, radio messages, and more besides. The codes and clues section is the most important part of your PDA that can point you in the right direction. Whenever you’re not sure where to go next, have a good read through the codes and clues, Aurora survivors, and other log sections of your PDA that will show you the way (or provide some hints at least).

Build a Scanner Room to Find Stalker Teeth
Stalker Teeth (left by Stalkers) for enabled glass can be hard to find in Subnautica. Adding a scanner room to a seabase makes it somewhat easier to find that resource. The scanner room will highlight the locations of Stalker Teeth, and you can use the remotely operated cameras to find them. Place the cameras by the teeth so you can swim to them.
If you don’t have the blueprints for a scanner room, try laying out some scrap metal for Stalkers to chew on instead. Collect three pieces of metal salvage. Then place all the collected metal salvage together on the seabed in an area where there are lots of Stalkers (such as Crash Zone or Kelp Forest).

Keep an eye on a Stalker when it swims to and starts chewing a metal salvage you placed until a tooth falls from it. Teeth fall from Stalkers when they chew on scrap metal. If you return to your scrap metal pile a few days later, you might find lots of teeth in the area you placed it
Mark Important Locations With Beacons
Subnautica doesn’t include any underwater sea map to look at, which makes it a bit harder to find your way around. However, crafting and utilizing Beacons will make life somewhat easier. Beacons are navigation markers you can stick anywhere to highlight important locations. Use beacons to mark the locations of underwater cave entrances, biomes, and good areas for finding specific resources you’ll likely need to return to.

Bring Water Bottles for Longer Trips
Depleting hydration will often force you back to your life pod’s or seabase’s fabricator in Subnautica’s Survival Mode. If you’re going on a longer trip that might take a while, make sure your hydration level is at maximum. It’s also a good idea to bring a supply of water bottles along. Carrying a good supply of water bottles will give you more to drink when you’re away from your seabase or lifepod. Then you’ll have more time to thoroughly explore areas since you can hydrate yourself with the water bottles you’re carrying.
Get Yourself a Thermoblade
A Thermoblade is a handy bit of gear to have up your sleeve. That’s a hot knife with which you can kill off and cook fish to eat on the go. It will save you from having to return to a fabricator for cooking fish when your nutrition level needs boosting. To obtain a Thermoblade, you’ll need to add a Modification Station to your seabase. Then you can craft the Thermoblade with a Survival Knife and battery.

Finding specific blueprint fragments or rare resources you need in Subnautica can be like searching for needles in a haystack when you don’t know where to look for them. You can save yourself a lot of time by watching Subnautica guide videos on YouTube. YouTube includes all kinds of player-made clips that show you where you can find resources and blueprint fragments in the game.
To find such videos, input a suitable keyword in Google. For example, enter a keyword like “where to find <blueprint name> in Subnautica” in Google to find a video that shows you where to find a specific blueprint. Then click the YouTube tab to view matching videos. Or you could enter “where to find <resource name> in Subnautica” to find YT clips that show you where to find a specific resource.
