Starfield is a decent space simulator game many players prefer to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. If you want to get ahead in Starfield sooner rather than later, you can do so with some cheating! Starfield includes a console in which you enter numerous cheat commands. However, note that activating cheats disables Starfield’s achievements. If you don’t care about that, these are some of the most useful Starfield cheats you can activate with that game’s command console on Windows PCs.
To activate Starfield’s command console, press the ~ (or `) tilde key on your keyboard. That key is usually left of the one button just above Tab on standard U.S. keyboard designs. Pressing that tilde key will bring up a command console where you can input the cheat commands below at the bottom left of the screen.
God Mode
God Mode is one of the most important Starfield cheats that will make you invincible with unlimited ammunition. It’s an invaluable cheat that guarantees survival in any tricky combat situation. If you like the sound of that, input tgm in the console and press Enter to activate God Mode. You can deactivate the cheat by entering tgm 0 into the command console.
Open Locked Doors and Container
You can open any locked door or crate you fancy by activating this Starfield cheat. First, move your target over a door or storage crate you want to open and click on it with the debug console activated. Then input unlock and hit Enter to crack open the container or door. You should see an unlocked message within the command console confirming the cheat worked.
More Credits
You can purchase whatever you fancy whenever needed by activating this Starfield cheat to get more credits (money). To get more credits, input the phrase player.additem 0000000f # into Starfield’s command console. Add a credit value after the # in that command. For example, input phrase player.additem 0000000f #250000 adds 250,000 more credits to your balance.
Spawn Items
You can spawn whatever items you need by entering and executing a player.placeatme (item ID) (amount) cheat command into the console. For example, suppose you want to spawn one Microgun. To do that, you would input player.placeatme 000546CD 1 in the console and hit Enter. One Microgun will then spawn on the ground for you to pick up.
There are many item ID codes you can include in the player.placeatme command. You can find all the item ID codes for Starfield cheats on this Starfield Items page. Note down the item codes you want to utilize from there.
Kill All Enemies
This cheat command is handy to have up your sleeve whenever there are too many enemies around. Entering killall into Starfield’s command console kills all hostiles around you. However, that command doesn’t kill all non-hostile citizens.
Expand Your Carry Capacity
This handy Starfield cheat will enable you to carry much, much more. To execute it, input player.setav carryweight (value) in the command console and press Return. Replace (value) with an actual mass value to set your carry weight. For example, inputting player.setav carryweight 10000 will expand your carry weight to 10,000.
Raise Character Level
You can increase your character’s level to anything you like with this Starfield cheat command. Entering player.setlevel (value) in the command console activates this cheat. Replace (value) at the end of the command with a level to set your character at. For example, activating a player.setlevel 100 command sets your character’s level to 100.
Clear Your Bounties
Are you a wanted man in Starfield? If so, you can make life easier by activating this Starfield cheat for clearing all bounties. To activate it, input player.paycrimegold 0 0 (faction ID) into the command console. Replace the (faction ID) in that cheat command with an actual faction ID code listed on the Starfield Items page linked above. For example, the player.paycrimegold 0 0 0005BD93 will clear all UC (United Colonies) faction bounties.
Those are just a few of the handy Starfield cheats you can activate with that game’s command console. However, cheat only when you must, for excessive cheating kind of spoils the fun in Starfield.
