This guide includes some playing tips for Call of Duty: Mobile’s ranked Frontline mode. Are you losing too many matches in Frontline mode? If so, check out the Call of Duty: Mobile tips for Frontline below to put up a better fight in that multiplayer mode.

8 Call of Duty: Mobile Tips for Frontline Mode

Frontline is one of the five ranked multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Mobile. This is a game mode in which two teams of five fight it out to reach the 60-kill mark first. It is a variation of the Team Deathmatch mode, but players respawn in fixed respawn locations for their teams on opposite sides of the map. Frontline matches can be fast and frantic dogfights. Here are some Call of Duty: Mobile tips for Frontline to get you ahead of the game in that mode.

Don’t Forget to Equip Vulture

Vulture is a perk that enables you to pick up ammo for your gun from every enemy killed. This is a necessary perk to equip for Frontline to ensure you can replenish ammo. Even though your ammunition is replenished when you get killed, you can still run out of ammo when chaining kills together. If you don’t have Vulture equipped, you’ll have to pick up different guns left over from downed enemies to replenish ammo when needed.

It’s Your K/D Ratio That Counts

The K/D ratio is the amount of kills you amass in proportion to the number of times you get killed during a match. Your K/D ratio is more important to winning than the total number of kills you get. Racking up 15 kills isn’t much use if you get killed 20 times during a match. Negative K/D ratios lose Frontline matches in Call of Duty: Mobile.

So, don’t rush around foolhardily for the sake of killing enemies as quickly as you can. It’s just as important to minimize the number of times you get killed during a Frontline match. Focus on killing more times than you get killed to keep your K/D ratio up above the one mark. You can view your K/D ratios within your match history stats to see how they’re holding up.

Play From Cover Positions

One notable difference between Frontline noobs and more accomplished players is that many beginners generally don’t utilize cover much. Try to stay close to cover positions like walls, cars, crates, and fences when engaging the enemy. Then you’ll be able to hide behind nearby cover after taking lots of hits to replenish health for a few seconds before returning fire.

Sideway strafing can be an effective playing technique to utilize when playing from cover positions in Frontline. Strafe out sideways to open fire and then move back behind cover to replenish health after taking some hits. That will enable you to keep focused on a target while moving and then shield yourself from return fire behind cover when needed.

Maximize the Frame Rate

Maximize the frame rate in Call of Duty: Mobile (and all other FPS shooters) for the most responsive and smoothest gameplay. To do that in COD: Mobile, tap the Settings cog button and select Audio and Graphics. Then select the maximum frame rate setting your mobile device can handle.

If you have a PC with a higher max frame rate than your mobile device, it would be better to play Call of Duty: Mobile on that. Install an Android gaming emulator like BlueStacks on the PC. Then you’ll be able to play COD: Mobile at a higher frame on your PC with the BlueStacks emulator. You’ll also reap the benefits of a larger overall display and keyboard controls.

Play the Spawn Trap (Preferably With a Goliath)

The big difference between Frontline and Team Deathmatch is that players on the opposing team respawn in the same location. This means that you can play the spawn trap tactic in Frontline because you know where enemies are coming from. Spawn trapping is when you pin down the enemy team within its respawn area by repeatedly killing players from a position just outside that spawn zone.

To play the spawn trap effectively, you need to find a good killing position just outside the entrances to the team’s respawn zone. Never move right into the respawn area because enemies can utilize the three-second spawn invincibility to their advantage if you do. The position you take should have some cover to move behind for health replenishment when necessary. Then let rip on enemies when they move out from their spawn area.

XS1 Goliath

You can play a spawn trap all the better with an XS1 Goliath. The XS1 Goliath gives you a potent minigun with which to maul down hostiles as they move out from the respawn zone. It also provides protection from enemy fire, which makes it somewhat easier to annihilate multiple hostiles around respawn zones.

Destroy Scorestreak Gear With Rocket Launchers

You can equip pistols, melee attacks, or rocket launchers as secondary weapons for Frontline matches. I recommend equipping a rocket launcher because it’s very useful for countering some of the longer-lasting Scorestreaks players can activate. A rocket launcher will help a lot when you need to destroy Scorestreaks like Chopper Gunner, Stealth Chopper, Sentry Gun, XS1 Goliath, and VTOL.

Equip a Good Assault Rifle

Submachine guns and assault rifles are the most prevalent gun types utilized in Frontline. Equipping a decent assault rifle instead of an SMG can give you more of an edge in combat, for those guns are generally better at killing enemies from long distances. Assault rifles like the AK-47 and M16 are among the best-balanced guns that are effective for both long and shorter-range gunfighting.

Refresh Your Loadouts

Leveling up unlocks new guns, Scorestreaks, perks, operator skills, and weapon attachments for Frontline matches. So, make sure you refresh and optimize your loadouts on a reasonably regular basis. Check out what new guns and gear are available to equip after every three or four level-ups.

Playing non-ranked frontline matches is a good way to experiment with refreshed loadouts. You won’t lose any ranking points if your modified loadouts don’t work well in non-ranked play. So, try out new guns and more general loadouts in non-ranked matches.

Sticking to those Call of Duty: Mobile tips for Frontline matches will probably boost your performances in that multiplayer mode. Most of them also apply to Team Deathmatch, for that’s a similar mode.
