The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event Week 6 Guide

The final week of The Sims 4 Reaper's Rewards Event has arrived, and this guide will take you through the last set of quests and their tasks. This week, the moment has arrived to make Ambrosia, plus your Sim is set to throw some celebrations for all their hard work.

The Sims 4 Reaper's Rewards Event Week 6 Guide

Well, this is it! The sixth and final week of the Reaper’s Rewards Event in The Sims 4. We all knew it would arrive eventually, but now it has. The moment has finally come to make Ambrosia and bring this event to an end. You might think that this being the last week of the event, it’s got the hardest tasks. Fortunately, that’s not the case. There aren’t too many tasks to be burdened with, and you should hopefully be able to make Ambrosia with ease. Plus, the last set of tasks actively involve you and your Sims celebrating the end of the event and the monumental task of making Ambrosia, which is a great way to round off the six-week-long event. This guide will walk you through the final two quests in The Sims 4‘s Reaper’s Rewards Event, making sure you don’t miss anything.

The Moment of Truth Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 800

This is the big monumental quest this week, the key one that includes the big task of actually making Ambrosia. Don’t worry; it’s not a long quest at all. Providing you have maxed out both Cooking skills and got all the ingredients needed for Ambrosia, it’ll be a piece of cake.

A note of advice: you should focus on this quest first. The second quest focuses on celebrating your efforts on not just this particular quest, but the entire event. Get the Ambrosia made first, then you can party!

Wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter

Event Points: +15

By this stage, you’ll know what this task is. It’s easy; just wait for the final edition of the Ambrosia Society Newsletter to arrive in your Sim’s mailbox. You should only have to wait less than an in-game day, but if you’re too impatient in this last quest to wait, you can fast track the delivery by using Expedite Mail Delivery for 103 Simoleons.

The final edition of the Ambrosia Society Newsletter reminds you that it's finally time to make Ambrosia.

Read the Ambrosia Society Newsletter

Event Points: +25

As soon as the final newsletter has arrived in the mail, this task will appear. Make sure to retrieve the newsletter from your Sim’s mailbox, then read it from their Inventory.

And what exactly is the sixth and final edition of the Ambrosia Society Newsletter about? Well, it generally just sums up what this last week is about: making Ambrosia!

Cook Ambrosia

Event Points: +100

This is it!! The moment you’ve been working so hard for and building towards. It’s finally time to make Ambrosia, the dish that this whole event is all about. Since this task is THE one, you get the most points of all tasks throughout the entire Reaper’s Rewards Event, gifting you 100 Event Points!

Now, you must make sure that you have everything you need to make Ambrosia. You must have the following:

  • Level 10 Cooking Skill
  • Level 10 Gourmet Cooking Skill
  • An Angelfish
  • A Death Flower
  • A Potion of Youth
  • Access to a fridge, countertop, and stove

You must make sure that both your Sim’s Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills are completely maxed out. If not, do so. Ambrosia won’t be available to make if your Sim’s skills are not quite there.

If your Sim's Cooking and Gourmet Cooking are not yet at level 10, make sure they are.

If your Sim’s Cooking and Gourmet Cooking are not yet at level 10, make sure they are.

Also, make sure you have all three ingredients needed to make Ambrosia: the Angelfish, Death Flower, and Potion of Youth. You just need one of each these ingredients to make Ambrosia, but it never hurts to have more as back up, just in case. If you are missing any of these ingredients, we cover how to obtain them in the guides for the previous weeks. The Angelfish is covered in Week 3, the Death Flower in Week 4, and the Potion of Youth in Week 5.

Once you are satisfied that everything is ready, it’s time to cook! You can find Ambrosia under the Gourmet Cooking menu. It’ll be at the bottom of the list of recipes (by default, the recipes are listed by skill level). You can also list the recipes in alphabetical order to bring Ambrosia closer to the top. Anyhow, select Ambrosia from the list of recipes, and your Sim will get cracking with cooking in the kitchen.

By default, Ambrosia should be at the end of the recipe list.

By default, Ambrosia should be at the end of the recipe list.

Ambrosia actually doesn’t take very long at all to make. It’s surprisingly quick to cook. It’ll be ready before you know it!

And voilà! Congratulations! You’ve made Ambrosia! There are a few useful things to note. Since your Sim by now is a master cook, the quality of Ambrosia should be excellent. Also, it never spoils, so your Sim can keep it in their Inventory, just in case they need it or want to use it. Plus, Ambrosia is very valuable, and can be sold for 6,492 Simoleons!

You also shouldn’t be afraid to eat the Ambrosia yourself at this point, or give it to someone else to eat. There are no more tasks beyond this one in this quest, and you won’t need it in the second quest either. You’re free to use it however you please! It is a very powerful dish, with two purposes: bringing a ghost Sim back to life, but also resetting a Sim’s age!

Well, there it is! Ambrosia!

The Moment of Truth Quest Conclusion

You’ve done it! You’ve finally made Ambrosia! It’s over… unless you have yet to complete the second quest. If you haven’t yet, make sure you do. The second quest is all about your Sim celebrating the end of the Reaper’s Rewards Event. After all this hard work, you and your Sims deserve to have a party!

Total Quest Event Points: 750

Being the final week of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, it’s time to celebrate all those weeks of hard work, which is exactly what this quest is all about. Why shouldn’t you and your Sims celebrate their success? It’s been quite a gruelling few weeks. It’s not been easy getting everything done to make Ambrosia, but you have and you should allow yourself to unwind and celebrate.

Host a Social Event

Event Points: +45

Your Sims are officially instructed to throw a party to celebrate them reaching the end of the event and making Ambrosia at long last. This task is easy enough; just organize a social event. However, there are a few things you need to know. You can’t just throw any event. It must include Goals and Rewards for completing the social event. This is a specific requirement for this task. Second, you need to watch what type of event you put on. For example, a Birthday Party doesn’t count towards this task (even though it does meet the requirements of having Goals and Rewards). Your safest bet is to go with a simple, straightforward House Party. You can’t go wrong with that, and these are easy enough to put on. Make sure that the Goals and Rewards box is ticked when organizing the event.

As soon as the Reaper’s Rewards Event is happy with the event you’ve set up, you’ll unlock the next task.

For this task, just go with the House Party. You can't go wrong with that.

Get a Silver or Better Result From the Party

Event Points: +45

Once your Sim’s party is underway, a new task will appear. Apparently it’s not enough to just throw a party, but it needs to be a decent one too. Specifically, you’re asked to host a party with a Silver level or higher. Silver is the middle tier level with party hosting performances. This is achieved by completing the set tasks. Now it makes sense why the previous task asked you to organize an event with Goals and Rewards.

What tasks you get very much depends on the type of event you’re hosting. However, assuming you went for a simple House Party, the tasks you tend to get involve having multiple Sims become Playful, having multiple Sims playing games at once, and making sure that multiple Sims eat and drink. With this in mind, make sure these tasks are easy to complete by doing the following. You also need to make sure that there are at least 3-4 Sims attending the party. This also includes Sims in your own household:

  • Arranging plenty of food for Sims to help themselves with. Have at least one multi-serving dish ready, then use the Call to Meal option to make all attendees take a plateful and start eating.
  • Buy a bar so you can make drinks for your guests. You can also hire a mixologist if you don’t want your Sim serving.
  • Buy something that 3 to 4 Sims can play together. Table games such as card games and Don’t Wake the Llama is a good option. Video games consoles are also perfect for occasions such as parties, letting up to four Sims play at one time.
  • If you want to make Sims Playful, try telling lots of jokes or funny stories under the Funny social menu.

House Parties are quite easy to get Silver or even Gold in. The main goal is for the host Sim to interact with their guests 12 times throughout the party. Do this and this task is as good as done.

Also, don’t forget to have fun. This is meant to be your party, celebrating the success of the Reaper’s Rewards Event and you making Ambrosia. Enjoy it!

During your party, make sure to complete the necessary tasks to get at least Silver.

Visit a Bar During Ghost Night

Event Points: +25

This is one of those tasks that is simple enough, but there are some things to watch for. Sometimes at public venues such as bars in The Sims 4, special events can take place, such as Ladies’ Night… and Ghost Night. This is when a certain group of Sims descend on the property, the night being dedicated to them. One such night invites ghosts to the venue… and this is the night in question that this task is talking about. Your task is simply to go to any Bar venue when a Ghost Night event is taking place.

There are two key things to note for this task in order to complete it. A Bar is a specific venue type in The Sims 4. We’re not talking about a Lounge or Nightclub. The venue must be a Bar. If you only play The Sims 4 base game and have no DLC installed, the only Bar venue available to you is the Rattlesnake Juice Bar located in Oasis Springs. However, if you have other packs and other worlds installed, you’ll have more options. Just look out for any Lot with the Bar venue type assigned to it.

If you just have the base game, the Rattlesnake Juice Bar in Oasis Springs is the place to go to.

If you just have the base game, the Rattlesnake Juice Bar in Oasis Springs is the place to go to.

You may have the right venue, but now you need to make sure you go at the right time. Fortunately, the hint that comes with this task provides a useful titbit: Ghost Nights at Bars take place every Wednesday night. In The Sims 4, nighttime is any time after 8pm. With all this info in mind, head out to any Bar after 8pm when a Ghost Night is taking place and this task is in the bag. You’ll get a pop-up notification informing you that Ghost Night is indeed taking place when you arrive at the venue. If for whatever reason the task doesn’t get checked off and you’re definitely in the right place at the right time, try another Bar venue, or if that isn’t an option, go somewhere else and then return to the Bar. It should work then.

You'll be informed when Ghost Night has started at a venue.

Fruits of Your Labor Quest Conclusion

Well… that’s it! Your Sims have finished celebrating. There’s nothing else really to do. That’s all the tasks done, not just for this quest and this week, but for the whole Reaper’s Rewards Event. It’s all over. Take this moment to bask in your success and think of what you and your Sims have accomplished these past few weeks. Plus, you’ve got plenty of spooky new goodies that you earned from these past six weeks. Enjoy them!
