Another year, another Money in the Bank PLE. The annual briefcase event where people try to advance their careers happens this July 6th in Toronto, Canada. People will try to climb the ladder and retrieve the MITB briefcase to earn a guaranteed title opportunity. They will have a calendar year to cash it in on a champion of their choice. Here are my five predictions for the event.
Damian Priest Wins
I am more than likely going with the long shot in this matchup, but I believe that Damian Priest will barely get the job done against Seth “Freakin’” Rollins in their match for the World Championship. Damian Priest has just begun his title reign, and he needs to continue picking up victories so he gathers more credibility holding onto a championship.
Will Priest not only be the champion but also stay with the Judgment Day after Money in the Bank?
Plus, he needs to win because more is on the line than just a title. If Priest loses, he’s out of the Judgment Day. This seems like a huge blow to the faction because Damian Priest is doing a good job in the group. They can’t afford to lose him.
Sami Retains Gold
Bron Breakker has done a great job since recently being drafted to the main roster. His presence is quickly being noticed by the other members of Raw. This match will be interesting because it shows a veteran going against a hungry rookie. Even though I think Bron Breakker is going to do good on the main roster moving forward… I think that Sami Zayn will pick up the win here. Sami is still riding that momentum against Gunther at WrestleMania, and it will carry over at Money in the Bank when Sami beats Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
A matchup between a rookie and a veteran main-eventer. Which person will succeed?
Team Cody beats The Bloodline
After defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes now sets his sights on the newly rearranged Bloodline. Paul Heyman was recently kicked out of the Bloodline for not acknowledging the new tribal chief, Solo Sikoa. Cody views Solo as a seat filler to the actual leader of the Bloodline which is Roman. I believe that Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens will come out victorious against the Bloodline.
Bloodline 2.0 has their first major match since its formation. Can they beat Cody and his friends at Money in the Bank?
Drew McIntyre wins Men’s MITB
Well, it was looking good for all the contestants in the men’s MITB ladder match until Drew McIntyre got the last spot in the qualifier match on Raw’s go home show for the event. The participants will be Jey Uso, Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, Chad Gable, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre. A stacked lineup for sure. I’m going to go with Drew McIntyre winning the briefcase at the end against all other opponents.

Tiffany Stratton wins Women’s MITB
Tiffany has been on a roll ever since being called up to the main roster. She recently won her qualifying match to be in the ladder match at Money in the Bank along with Iyo Sky, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi, and Zoey Stark. Her biggest challenges in this match will be Lyra, Naomi, and last year’s MITB winner Iyo Sky. With that being said, I think the person who will win the women’s MITB briefcase this year will be the one with the prettiest moonsault Tiffany Stratton.
