The second installment of Clash at the Castle comes to us from Glasgow, Scotland. Clash at the Castle: Scotland happens on June 15th. It is a follow-up to the Clash at the Castle that happened in Cardiff, Wales.
One of the main features at the event will be the hometown hero coming back to his old stomping grounds in Drew McIntyre. He will be facing off against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. Now, here are my five predictions for Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
Drew Loses in Scotland
The Judgment Day is one championship away from being a shell of their former self. They simply can’t afford to lose the World Heavyweight Championship that Damian Priest holds. This stable use to have it all. At one time, every member of this faction held gold at the same time.
On Raw, Drew McIntyre won a match against Finn Balor where the stakes was if he won the match then The Judgment Day would be barred from ringside during his match against Damian Priest. I think that Carlito will get involved, seeing how he is not an official member of team Judgment Day, and cost Drew McIntyre the match.
Bayley Retains the WWE Women’s Championship
Even though Bayley’s opponent, Piper Niven, is from Scotland…I believe that she will come up short on defeating Bayley in the end. Chelsea Green will probably get involved and try to cost Bayley the match. But, it won’t work.
Sami Defeats Gable
The long and winding feud between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn has led to another match consisting of the two. Although Sami has gotten the better of Gable thus far, Chad is relentless in not giving up. Gable views Sami as someone who is trying to break up Alpha Academy and turn them against him. Whereas Sami sees this as trying to help the members of Alpha Academy regain their confidence.
Sami Zayn has accepted Gable’s challenge at Clash at the Castle: Scotland for the Intercontinental championship. The problem that Chad Gable is going to have in this match in Glasgow is Otis. Who has shown a few times to be on the fence in his allegiance to Gable. No one knows what Otis will do in this match, but he did cost Chad in the last PLE. Regardless of whether Otis gets involved or not in this bout, I am still going with Sami Zayn picking up the victory because he still needs to ride the momentum that he has carried with him since he defeated Gunther at Mania. I can’t see him losing any match for a while after he pulled off that feat. Although it would be nice to see Gable finally obtain a single’s title on the main roster since joining the WWE.
Cody Rhodes Picks Up Win Against AJ Styles
The sequel match between two Georgia guys is going down in Scotland. AJ Styles pulled off a fake retirement to gather Cody’s attention which won him a match for the WWE Undisputed Championship at Clash at the Castle. Cody Rhodes feels tricked into letting his guard down when AJ Styles lured him to the ring to celebrate his “retirement” with him. He will be looking for retribution against The Phenomenal One at the event. With that being said I will go with Cody Rhodes obtaining the win against AJ Styles in Scotland.
Team Belair and Cargill for the Victory
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill thinking about starting a tag team with one another has proven to pay off in spades. They will be competing in a triple threat tag team match against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, as well as Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. No offense to the other competitors, but we are talking about Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill here. So, with that being said…I’m going with the tag team of Belair and Cargill to keep the tag team titles after Clash at the Castle: Scotland has concluded.
There you have it, my five predictions at Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
