The Tour Of The Mighty Hootsforce

Throughout the year, many fans  have been anticipating a grand tour of a particular band. They’re a small band, but have been more known for their genre of music. But, they were big enough to become recognized in a VR Viking game called Ragnarock, which many fans were excited to see. Anyways, they’ve also been known for their engaging, and in depth, story that goes along with their songs. Each album released tells a story of mighty heroes battling an evil wizard. With the mighty heroes of Hootsforce wielding their mighty weapons to battle, there is one special hammer that can defeat all – The GloryHammer!

They named their band after this magnificent weapon, to showcase what they’re all about. Many fans have looked forward to this tour. The Red, White and Hoots tour started this March (2024) in North America, first starting in New York. Then, they will travel the rest of the world to tell their amazing story.

GloryHammer is going on tour with another power metal band whom also engages in fantastical storytelling. Twilight Force is also an amazing sounding band with strong vocals, heavy drumming, and deep lyrical knowledge. GloryHammer and Twilight Force both have creative knowledge in fantasy stories and musical talent.

The GloryHammer Concert

Seeing them in person on March 26th with my husband, I can definitely see the reason why many people enjoy listening to their music. Not like I knew before, but this band goes hard. Even though they are stationed in space, their music sounds very majestic. The hard guitar solos, amazing vocals and awesome stage performance can make anyone rock out hard.

The lead singer, Sozos Michael, plays the main role of Angus McFife The Second. And let me say this, he can bring a crowd to life with his powerful voice. The performance overall was amazing, all the characters made us laugh and roar with excitement. Especially The Hollywood Hootsman. In their story, The Hootsman is crowned king of California in Hollywood for defeating everything in, what they call, “The Wasteland.” His story can be heard across these songs: The Hollywood Hootsman and Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patrol.

Everyone was pumping their fists, chanting “HOOTS! HOOTS! HOOTS!” every chance they got, and was singing along to this fantasy, sci-fi of a band. They made such a huge impact on the powermetal community that I was not expecting so many people to be there at the concert. A lot, as well, enjoyed listening to Twilight Force who is also in a similar spot.

Costumes of The Concert

The band members, both Twilight Force and Gloryhammer, have worn costumes. These represent their characters in the story that they sing about.

The lead singer of Gloryhammer is Angus McFife II who sports a leather armor torso as well as green leggings with thigh protection. The drummer is Ralathor who wears a beret over his long hair, a greying beard, leather shoulder pads, and a cotton black tunic with a black long sleeved shirt as well.

The Hollywood Hoots man plays bass. His look consists of his long flowing hair and braided beard, a sleeveless furry vest with a black sleeveless undershirt, some leggings under a brown leather, pleated skirt and furry black boots. Ser Proletius is the band’s guitarist. He wears the general wizard look; black  leather clothing and robes, hooded cover and a long flowing beard. Zargothrax plays keyboard and back up vocals, and wears a long leather robe with large leather shoulder pads. The cotton hood is draped over his head, obscuring his hair but revealing his powdered face for everyone to see.

In order of importance, lets take a glance at all who play these wonderful characters. As mentioned before, Angus McFife II is played by the amazing lead singer, Sozos Michael. Zargothrax is played by the awesome keyboardist, and backup vocalist, Michael Barber. Ser Proletius is played by the outgoing guitarist, Paul Templing. The Hootsman is played by the deep-voiced bassist of the immaculate James Cartwright. And Ralathor is played by the energetic drummer, Ben Turk.

These amazing and awesome people who are listed above would not have made GloryHammer the band they are today. Although we enjoyed Thomas Winkler, the previous lead vocalist of GloryHammer, he is making his own succession on the character Angus McSix, who was previously Angus McFife Xiii in the last album Winkler played in GloryHammer. Sozos Michael is playing Angus McFife II powerfully as well.

To top it all off, we had learned that this awesome and outgoing band had been included in a game a few years prior. What game you may ask? Some will know of the game, some won’t. It was released in 2020 to help enhance your VR skills.

When The Hootsforce Joined The Amazing Viking Race

Racing through the oceans with your crew, you race to win a ship race between various other ships. As the Viking captain, you are the one to lead your ship to victory by encouraging your fellow Vikings to heave and ho!

Ragnarock is a 2021 game involving VR and PC multiplayer or solo gameplay. First of all, the way that you are leading your ship to victory is to be a somewhat rhythm god to boost your ship to first place. You hold two large mallets in either hand and stand before four drums. The more combos and runes you destroy in sync with the epic Viking soundtracks, the more boosts you give to your ship.

Certainly, this will make you feel like an epic Viking captain with the perfectly curated soundtracks from various bands such as Alestorm, Saltatio Morris and more. GloryHammer, as stated above, is included amongst these bands. You can buy their bundle on Steam which includes their GloryHammer gavels to play with to pound the runes to pieces. And, you gain access to 6 songs that you can row to on their GloryHammer ship. And it only costs $5.94 (It’s on a 50% off sale)! As of right now, the game itself has already finished its holiday sale on January 8th. But for all other bundles, theres a range of 45%-50% off sale which seems to be indefinitely. So, if you are a GloryHammer fan then you might not want to miss this sale.

Endnotes On The Hootsforce

All in All, I am glad that my husband brought me on to this band. GloryHammer is truly one of a kind, and its story is so jam packed that even if my husband tried explaining it to me, with the help of its creator, I would still be totally lost. But, the music is great and the atmosphere of everyone there totally made the experience.

Thank you so much GloryHammer, and may the Hootsforce and the Legendary Heroes battle this journey together.
