Jamie Foxx: I Might Need Security (2002)
no extra
Well today i had a "stand-up comedy" watching day, i've seen a couple, like 5 or 6, and this one was the worst one, I must say i'm a huge Eddie Izzard fan, i think he's the best stand up comedian (by far), but because i seen all of his shows, like a 100 times, now i'm checking out for other ones. I seen a few Jamie Foxx movies so i thought he's talented, so he must be good in stand up comedy as well, but i need to say i'm really disappointed, he's not only too "American" (in a bad way), but he's jokes are primitive, and too simple, and mainly just cursing, anyway if you like "tipical" American sense of humor, maybe you'll like this one as well, i would not recommend it anyway, try out Eddie Izzard, Lee Evans, or Robin Williams (but he has that "american side effect" in his jokes as well...but he's better)
anyway 5/10 (being in good mood)
Eddie Izzard: Unrepeatable (1994)
one of the best shows, from the best stand-up-comedian
well not much to tell about this show or overall about Eddie Izzard except that it's (he's) "unrepeatable" i must say that even after seeing a lot of British (Lee Evans, Billy Connolly, etc..) -->they are the better ones, and a lot of us comedians, Eddie Izzard is still the best one to date, his jokes, his way of thinking is unique, crazy, interesting, clever, and extremely funny, and you can watch over and over again as many times as you wish and it'll still be funny... believe me, go on and watch it now!!! you won't regret it, and even if you're in to some other kind of comedy, i do think you'll still like it!
and also watch the other ones as well!!! (dressed to kill, glorious, definite article, circle ...) won't regret too :))
Eddie is simply the best!
Eddie Izzard: Definite Article (1996)
one of the best (if not the best) stand-up comedians to date
truly one of the best ones, even in izzards, this is really a good one
absolutely strange, unique, and really funny, my favorite comedian, when i saw him for the first time, i couldn't stop laughing, and even now, when i saw all of his videos, i watch them again time to time, it makes my day better, changes a bit my way of looking at stuff, you can't get bored with him, a nd just one thing: you enjoy him much more if you ever been to england for at least a month, cause there's a lot of typically English stuff as well, which you enjoy anyway, but differently if you know a bit about English people
well anyway, go and see it yourself you'll prove me right
and surely the lines will be part of your life after you watched it a few times, that's for sure
Enemy at the Gates (2001)
so-so
funny but i wasn't disappointed at all, i expected to see "typical Russians" in this movie, and it was full of them... being half Russian, and knowing the history quite well, in the first 10 minutes of the movie, i was laughing, what was than with the passing of the river? 1. they always passed the river at night, in the dark, why would they do it daytime, meanwhile the German bombers can destroy most of them... 2. what's with the weapons??? it's 1942, in the beginning of the war, the Russians had some problems with the weapons (still more than 1 for two soldiers), but in 42, at Stalingrad, nothing like that.... 3. what's with the shooting their own soldiers, in ww2, in the Russian army, there were some troops, behind who there were soldiers with machine guns, not letting them to go back, but these troops were really rare, and 95% of them were criminals from prisons, or soldiers who were court-martialed... 4.at the scene, were zajcev meets all the reporters and stuff, one guy in the background is simply steeling food from the table, just for the record, if somebody is brave enough to try it, and then caught, well he would be the one in the troops, i wrote in point 3 (if he is lucky...) 5. why in American movies Russians always dance and drink.... the soldiers back at the base, at the end of the day, they dance and sang, and so on..... this is nonsense, they had as little food and energy, that they could not do things like that, and anyway why would they celebrate???? (at the end it's OK :d)
and that's just the beginning... really a lot of historical failures, one more, really bad one: what's all that lipstick on her in war and battle???
in general, if you don't know anything about history, quite watchable, for me mainly because of Ed Harris...
5/10
Boa vs. Python (2004)
hahaha
laughably bad movie following the track of earlier python and boa films..... bad acting (really bad), bad story (how they put the two snakes in one story with this unbelievably silly idea...), bad directing, bad cameraman skills (unnesessery close-ups, silly slow motions, except the shower scene.. :D ), bad special effects, .......bad everything!
wanna see a good movie, don't go for this one!
however if you are a big fan of B (or i should say C ) movies, like me, than this is one of the latest classics!
2/10
The Three Musketeers (1993)
quite bad
i seen this film, a long time ago, and now i watched it again, and i was quite disappointed, i remembered something better (however i watched it a couple of years ago, when i was like 10...), and also the average, 6/10 is far too much.....
maybe it is an enjoyable movie for small kids, but apart from that it's a typical Hollywood-classic-remake for people who's intelligence, and ability to concentrate, and think, is far under the average......so if you feel fool enough to watch it without the pressure of kids, go on, but if not, then try out an other movie based on Dumas (a couple of good ones out there....)
