Sorry, Wrong Number (1989)
excellent remake
I don't know what the negative reviewers were smoking, but I found this movie to be a ten rating out of ten! It had all the elements of an engaging story...suspense, romance, action, drama...you name it.
Also, the movie had an attractive well acting cast. This is my opinion.
The original movie is excellent too, but of the two I like this version a little better...perhaps more than a little better actually. Maybe because for some reason, the movie reminded me of a Columbo style film (without a detective focus) in how it was laid out...who knows...except that it is one hell of a movie.
Ignore the stone throwers and check it out...If you can find it.
Stay well all...
Night Gallery: She'll Be Company for You (1972)
Too much cat, not enough story
Leonard Nimoy was wasted in this filler heavy edition of hit and miss tv series. For one thing, what exactly is the poor man being punished for?
Is it for resentment of having to take care of his invalid wife? Adultry was only implied and it is also implied the man loyally cared for his wife until her end. It is not immoral or a crime to merely lament burdens of life....there is something to be said of executing the burdens out of sense of duty.
For me it was cruelty from the deceased wife and cruelty from the writers to make us watch the endless cat growling and stalking.
Doctor Who: Carnival of Monsters: Episode Four (1973)
One will appreciate another fine episode
A very imaginative plot that keeps one entertained!
Gunsmoke: Night Incident (1955)
IMPOSSIBLE CROWD TO PLEASE
So many times I have read complaints of how dark and sad many of the episodes are in Gunsmoke. And admittedly, I found reasons to agree with this premise myself. Yet finally, we get an episode with a happy ending and all the reviewers on this page can do is complain about it! Go Figure....Get a life.
Jungle Jim (1948)
Out of shape a little....Who cares!
I Don't know about you, but I am tired of all the flak given to Johnny Weissmuller for gaining a few pounds in the latter Tarzan and Jungle Jim films. like all of us...he got older...so get over it and just be glad he graced our lives doing these entertaining movies. Nuff said!
