- Young widow Laura Trudeau was a remarkable dancer. As a project manager she is tasked with renovating a lodge in her hometown and have it ready by Christmas Eve. She is stunned it's the lodge where she and her former love performed.
- When she left Utah as a young widow, Laura Trudeau left behind her father, her love of dance -- and an old heartbreak. Now, she must return home to spearhead the renovation of a derelict hotel, which must be restored in time for a Christmas Eve benefit dance performance. But Laura is shocked to learn that her old love, Ricardo Archuleta, the boy who jilted her for a professional dance career, is the star of the dance benefit. And when his dance partner Taylor walks out on the show for an out-of-town audition, Laura has to step in for her, reawakening her love of the dance, not to mention her old feelings for Ricardo -- a potent combination that has her head spinning.
- Laura Trudeau is a project manager for Los Angeles based resort chain Pleasant Getaways, she and her colleague Scott, the two who just started dating, overseeing the renovation and construction of newly acquired properties. She is given a last minute assignment by her boss Oliver for a project that necessarily needs to open in four weeks on Christmas Eve, a project that would normally take twice that time. The bigger problem for Laura is that it is the Enchanted Lodge in her hometown of Rosemont, Utah, from where she "escaped" due the heartache of her boyfriend Ricardo Archuleta leaving to travel the world in chasing his dream of a professional dance career, which in turn resulted in Laura not ever dancing anymore at all in the painful memories. The Christmas Eve deadline is due to the Enchanted traditionally hosting the Christmas Eve festival in which Laura and Ricardo had always performed as a dance partnership. With adolescent daughter Nikki in tow, she who will be under the care of Laura's father, Oscar Montoya, while Laura is at work, Laura discovers that Ricardo has returned to town as the starring attraction for the Christmas Eve festival with his current dance partner, Taylor. As they necessarily need to spend time together at the hotel, Laura and Ricardo will find that their lives become more and more entwined both professionally and personally. They will both have to determine their priorities in life as more and more issues impede their respective schedules, and where the other fits into his or her life, not only now but potentially in the long term.—Huggo
