Donnersberg's line to Max that Chancellor Murkel asked him if he likes potato soup is based on a real-life quote from Angela Merkel from an RTL interview from 2009. One of the final questions from the co-host was, what Angela Merkel likes to cook in her leisure time. Among others, Merkel replied, that she can make good potato soup, which her guests enjoy.

There is a microphone from 2002 in a press in Berlin in 2009. It has the logos of the German TV channels N24 and Sat.1, which were different in 2009.

After the last line is said, before the credits several photos are displayed of big celebrities like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, David Petraeus, Joachim Löw, Sebastian Vettel, and Pope Benedikt XVI. On each one a picture of Franz Ferndinand von Donnersberg is visibly attached.
