This movie was unwatchably bad. I make it a habit to watch all horror genre entries, from the awful to the brilliant, and this one, this, this was the worst.
I wonder what exactly constitutes "good acting" according to the positive reviews but when I think of "good acting" (e.g. Ellen Burstyn, Kevin Spacey, Sarah Snook) I imagine something that is exactly the opposite of the "performances" in this film. They might have been reading their lines off of cue cards, I dunno.
Whoever this "Jane Clark" is, I have no idea, never heard of her before this, but if you want to see a brilliant horror director for inspiration, check out Jennifer Kent. As a writer/director she could mop the floor with this one.
