There are many talented actors, so why pick someone who has zero expression and a confused reaction on his face all the time? If tall actors were needed, there is Vicky and his brother sunny who can act. Love you Neena Gupta. Stopped watching mid_way. Watch Army of the dead. Zombies act better than Arjun.

This movie is stupid and boring at many levels. I just wonder, how such silly scripts are approved? The one and only thing i loved in this movie was ADITI RAO HYADRI. Her little presence is a saviour. She is so under rated, Seriously, she deserves much better movies and web series.
1st 5 minutes n will get to know how much torture u r going to face. Poor screenplay, very irritating stereotype punjabi BGM every now n then hoping to ads some fun to so called funny scenes which in return, ended up making it more terrible. Again arjun kapoor has proved why he is so irritating performer (I won't call him an actor). He is expressionless in every scene. Another bizarre thing u will notice is the high pitch of this movie. Every character is talking at a high pitch which is so irrelevant n irritating to the ears as well.
Neena gupta ji tried a lot to save this movie but what to do if story telling is so poorly executed, but still u wait for her scenes. Aditi rao as a young sardaar is like a fresh air. She deserves more projects.

I mean if you have watched the film, clearly there is such a vast demarcation in line of talent between the actors. Arjun Kapoor has once again proved that he is the most laziest and terrible Actor. In next few years just like his other starkid friends he can be clearly seen producing movies and quit acting. I mean how many time you check the patience of Public who subscribes your channel.

Sardar Ka Grandson is one movie that you need to avoid. The trailer looked bad and the movie is nothing but a non-stop trail of a poor and sketchy story that does not entertain.
Netflix has to rethink its strategy regarding Hindi movies. They are good with their English shows and foreign titles but they have bad Hindi movies in their catalog. Drive. Mrs. Serial Killer. Ginny Weds Sunny. Chopsticks. House Arrest. Maska. The Girl on the Train and now, this one.
Arjun Kapoor- Our so-called hero is the main reason why this movie is a complete failure. He is lazy as an actor. There is not a single shot where he is trying to impress you. Further, the writing is poor where we don't see meaty roles and dialogues.
John and Aditi managed to offer some relief. They look good as a couple. Further, you have Neena Gupta as the Dadi and Kanwaljeet Singh as Arjun's father and Neena's son. Don't have any major expectations here as they all have sketchy roles but at least, they look a little genuine.
The whole scenario where Arjun is in Pakistan is the worst part of the movie. The scenes and most importantly, the idea of lifting a century-old house looks plain stupid. I was hoping for some real sense but Nah, the makers did not make any effort here.
The premise is cheesy.
The twists are boring.
The pace is lackluster.
This kind of Bollywood is uninspired.
Please, do NOT watch this one.

Rather oddly, this movie has been rated very low by masses. While the storyline is a bit off the beaten path and needs some engineering crash course to be palatable, the concept and context are fairly respectable. The acting suite led by the inimitable Neena Gupta and always impressive Kumud Mishra does a fair job of executing upon the script which sometimes stalls for no convincing reason. Brilliant in her two bit role Rakul Preet Singh is unable to rub off on Arjun Kapoor who still punches above his weight. In their cameo John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari put in an impressive show.
Overall, the promising story is a bit shortchanged by the script. Yet, the movie is absolutely worth a watch. If nothing the comical plots and the punchy oke liners provide adequate entertainment for a rather lacklustre Bollywood season so far.

I had to sign myself up here just to give this movie 1 star. I wish there was an option for zero. This movie literally made my eyes bleed. Just wasted 1 hour of my life (couldn't go any further).

I liked the trailer, although i saw the whole movie in it. Still watched it for a different script and a new concept, which is unknown to many people. I am bolly buff, so i know how much hardwork it takes for a movie and i wont degrade anyone's hardwork by being a nonsense critic. Good one time watch.

Netflix if you will give such non actors chance again and again then we will start campaign against you.
Boney Kapoor's kids movies are always super flop, this is not a good movie and the main actor Jurum kapoor does not know how to act, himesh would had been much better. Even Jhatvi kapoor is a bad actresses. Netflix should give more chances to new upcoming and non-nepotism actors.

Don't know what Netflix is doing. Too boring. I tried not to skip any part as it could be interesting from somewhere, but i can't do it and for me the acting of the lead roles make it worse.
I generally never bother giving reviews.
But this time I am forced to - hoping Netflix looks amd listens to these negative feedback and provides chances to producers, actors and directors that are not from the traditional Bollywood clique that have ruined the image of Indian cinema at world stage.

This movie had a great premise. They could have made us laugh and cry with it. Neena Gupta was so effortless but Arjun Kapoor just ruins it. How many chances will he get? He only gets movie roles because Boney Kapoor secretly funds them.
After watching for half and hour I got bored by so fall actor Arjun Kapoor with one expression only . Netflix I never expected this crap from u guys yaar .

Its a different kind of movie....its watchable by all....the movie is full fun.....i think its very unique scripted movie among other movies of bollywood...the try is ultimately gud.
Such a beautiful movie. I guess nothing can beat the fact that today I dreamt about my home back in India and realised how much of our childhood memories and the love from family is engrained into our homes. Neena Gupta was outstanding and some scenes were so nicely crafted. Loved the scene when Amreek was going to Lahore and looking back to the young Neena Gupta (Aditi Rao Hydari) who was crossing over to India during partition, such a great way to portray it. Amazing work and the team should be extremely proud of what they have achieved working with such a great and experienced cast. A clean movie which can be watched with family and a movie that touches your heart and takes you back to your own beautiful past memories.

Dull & boring. Neena gupta was brilliant but she alone can't make it a watch film. Netflix avoid such movies.
The casting and the story of the movie was amazing. It's unfortunate that the makers failed to capitalize. Dialogues are tacky, story progression is not organic.
Nina Gupta's acting is standout, rest of the movie is below average.
