Caught on Camera

A remarkable show showing just how blatant criminals are. CCTV is such a huge success in the UK-especially London. Kudos to the Brits. It is also catching a lot of violent crime in the U.S.

But one powerful legal organization in the U.S. is against city surveillance despite its proven value. I visited their national web site to find out why. They say it is not reducing crime anywhere. How do they measure that accurately? It's not possible to know the actual math. The idiots at the ACLU say that it is only catching petty crime on camera anywhere it is used, not violent crime. Which I know is a lie by watching this program. They also say it does nothing to prevent terrorism. They say the authorities will misuse them. And for those reasons, the ACLU says they should be banned.

Thank you for this program and helping me understand the issue. It's hard to understand an issue when entities like the ACLU put out such blatant lies. Why are they lying like that? Don't they want people to respect their organization? All people have to do to know it's a big lie is Google the topic and see near the top of the page "419 gang shootings caught on camera in London."
