At the time the game brought unseen before and utterly amazing mechanics that haven't been seen too much nowadays, which is a shame because I don't think we'll see another game that gives you this ultimate sense of power and freedom to ground an immersive and story rich world to dust with a carpet bombing.
There are many very memorable moments like meeting the russian or the whole prologue in itself or <REDACTED<.
Music: they hired an entire orchestra.
Combat: outdated but back then you couldn't find much better, straight gunplay gets stale midway thru but it could've been a conscious decision to force creativity, and it does let you be creative...
Graphics: I said this was the most underrated game
so no fan-made graphics patches for the emulator, atleast it runs well without much artifacting or instability but this truly is the weakest and most outdated part of the game, it was made in 2005 and it shows.
I think this game is a blast from the past, from a bygone era of gaming where mass innovations and experimentation in the gameplay and mechanics department where seen as the way of progress as opposed to today's same game that's been published by AAA hundreds of times over.
This is a product of passion and talent with the budget of AAA lost to fate because it came out a decade or 2 too early, It's incredibly fun and I urge you to play it.
