Did you know
- TriviaThe show was a conglomeration of "9 Broadcast Plaza" (also a WWOR show) and "People are Talking." The show set the stage for "crap TV" (also known as "trash TV") It was extremely graphic (meaning hard R-rated, not moderate R-rated, and was likely an 18 in the UK), with fights (of the nastiest type), graphic language, sex. It was a cornerstone of the UPN/Warner Bros./WB (which comprises of UPN of the past incarnation, Adam G's planned UPN revival and WB, a real Warner Bros. network unlike Tribune's network starting with a "The" before "WB"). Matt Lauer was the original host of the original incarnation. Circa 1990 - 1992 is when the show took it's well-known form, "Richard Bey Show." As a result the show lasted 9 long years.

And people say UPN wasn't acclaimed. This is so much better than Springer. Yes the show has negativity. But he has a code. Richard Bey has so many funny moments that made his show so memorable. The fact that this show is higher rated than Springer is a testimony to how loved this show is. Richard Bey has a charisma about himself as well. WWOR was one of the higher-rated stations, compared to WPIX and WCBS, and UPN was higher rated compared to The WB. He knew how to combine fun to his shows. Some of its is negative but Bey makes it good, unlike Springer who just pure sucks altogether, and baits people, and is codeless.
Let me clarify one thing: I know that this wasn't officialy a UPN show, as this show was syndicated, starting in 1995, and that before then this was a WWOR show, but in 1995, it was defacto UPN as Chris-Craft was the producer and its stations that aired it were UPN.
