The Castle of Damcyan castle gets bombed by Red Barons airships and the people inside the castle are dead including Anna.

The Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy 4 once called 2 doesn't have swearing only name calling and Edge says "Shut Up" or "Blast You" otherwise there's no profanity, this was in the Nintendo Censorship days when swearing wasn't allowed in Nintendo games.

It is implied that a Dwarf in the tavern is drunk as he is dancing and says "Lali Ho!" Although it doesn't mention him being drunk in the SNES version of the game.

Some of the music used in the game can be considered scary.
The way some bosses look might frighten younger children.
The scene where Cecil and Kain open the package sets the village on fire killing Rydias mom and the earthquake scene happens may be scary for little kids.
The scene where Cecil and the crew including Yang, Edward on the ship gets attacked by Leviathan before they fall in the water may be scary for little kids.
The scene where the walls close in and Palom and Porom turn themselves into stone may be scary for kids.
If you throw the Magma key in the well, an earthquake will happen and open up a hole underground may be a little scary for little kids.
