- TriviaWhen making the second season, Cartoon Network wanted David Feiss to keep on making "I. M. Weasel" shorts. David Feiss didn't want to make any more, but agreed he would only if he could start using the Red Guy in the "I. M. Weasel" shorts. Since then, the Red Guy was a regular character in Weasel.
- Alternate versionsSome episodes were shown in "Smelly Telly" where viewers would get cards from the Warner Bros. Stores and when a number matches on the card, the viewer would scratch and smell the odor on a certain object (i.e. the red guy, cow's gum, etc.) the episodes, when shown on re-runs, no longer have the "Smelly Telly" feature.
Featured review
Cow and Chicken, as my entire family has agreed on, is the most disgusting and sickest "children's" cartoon I've ever seen. To my knowledge, the general idea is about a talking cow and chicken who live with 'mum and dad' who are nothing more than a set of legs without upper torsos. The cow and chicken go through some very bizzare adventures, and always encounter a horrid, naked, red creature who moves about by bouncing on his butt(which the show seems to enjoy emphasizing everything about him on). The drawings are very zany and strange, and this is very clear in the school children in the show, who look very ugly. Some of the appearances of these kids, as well as their behavior, is enough to make me sick.
In essence, Cow and Chicken's point is formless. It rather uses two unlikely creatures and cobbles up the most random, strangest and weirdest storylines for each episode. Some of the episodes are quite funny, given how random the plots were. Its an ok cartoon if you're looking for some literally brainless humor, but I wouldn't advice on watching this before or during a meal.
