Despite his deep-rooted fear, John goes along with Pete and Endy in taking flight instructions from a hang-gliding pilot. Unexpectedly, John like the beginner's lessons; however, he doesn't realize that the advanced stages of the sport entail flying off 200-foot cliffs.

John decides to play in a tennis tournament. And the father of a player whom he will likely play in the final, is concerned. John also gets close to the player's sister. And she sets John up.

Pete is hired to photograph a woman's sister who happens to be a ghost.

An old buddy of Pete's joins the family and thrills the boys his stories. When the man decides to explore a nearby cave John secretly joins him and puts his life in peril.

The Karras men are assistance to a young woman who appears to need help. But she and her boyfriend are running a scam, stealing the Karras motor home. Pete and his sons develop a plan for getting their vehicle back.

When a cynical, hardened teenager crosses paths wih Endy they find they have much in common. The youth is unhappy being in a group home and Endy tries to help his new friend.

When sightings of the mythical Bigfoot begin to proliferate it gains interest among the the crew. Photographer John Karras is sent to investigate and hopefully come back with evidence on film.

The Karras men arrive in Los Angeles ready to enjoy themselves. Then they get caught up in a in a family drama when Sophie, the daughter of a Greek shipping magnate Cesare, has run away and looks to Pete and John for help.
