The 6 parts of this mini-series were the very first airings in color to the PAL color system of the German TV, being aired during the test phase in 1966. The official start of the German color TV was on August, 25th 1967 by later chancellor Willy Brandt (at that time he was secretary of state). The complete series later was repeated in the pre-evening programme of the station ARD.
